So, don't hesitate to tell me how great I am, because remember.......this is my day! Not yours!

justsoyouknow Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 The most frightening website on the internet...
Krankor Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 That website should be deleted from existence. Along with Vanilla Ice
The Kid Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 I try and feel the sunshine You bring the rain You try and hold me down With your complaints You cry and moan and complain You whine an tear Up to my neck in sorrow The touch you bring You just don't step inside to 2000 posts So hard to keep my own head... That's what I say You know...I've been the beggar... I've played the thief I was the dog...they all tried to beat But it's been 2000 posts of silence It's been 2000 posts of pain It's been 2000 posts that are gone forever And I'll never have again Your stupid girlfriends tell you That I'm to blame Well they're all used-up has-beens Out of the game This time I'll have the last word You hear what I say I tried to see it your way It won't work today You just don't step inside to 2000 posts So hard to keep my own head... That's what I say You know...I've been the dealer... Hangin' on your street I was the dog...they all tried to beat But it's been 2000 posts of silence It's been 2000 posts of pain It's been 2000 posts that are gone forever And I'll never have again Bullshit and contemplation Gossip's their trade If they knew half the real truth What would they say Well I'm past the point of concern It's time to play These last 2 years of madness Sure put me straight Don't get back 2000 posts In just one day So hard to keep my own head Just go away You know...just like a hooker she said Nothin's for free Oh I tried to see it your way I tried to see it your way
razazteca Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 GnR's new video kicks so much ass..... changing the lead singer to Scott Weiland and renaming the band Velvet Revolver was a move of BRILLIANCE!!!
1234-5678 Posted June 3, 2004 Author Report Posted June 3, 2004 I definitely marked out for the use of "14 Years" by The Kid. Good shit. Weilland can suck my dick, the man looks ridiculous these days, and his lame ass lyrics don't help matters. Try listening to "Fall To Pieces" by Revolver without laughing your ass off. As for Chinese Democracy, I've lost faith in it. Axl is doing an interview with a couple GNR fan sites supposedly though, but I'm sure he'll be vague and allude to "taking it to the next level" and "hoping to announce a release date shortly". This is all Buckethead's fault.........
razazteca Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 "Slither" is a good song. It has the manitory guitar solo by Slash and Scott Weiland singing as if he has transended back to 90's era Seattle.
1234-5678 Posted June 3, 2004 Author Report Posted June 3, 2004 Yeah you're right. "Here comes the water/To wash away the sins of you and I". Brilliance......... The guy's so burnt out he has no idea what he is even saying anymore.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 Hiring a man who calls himself "Buckethead" and does so because he wears a Bucket that held fried chicken in it can never be considered a good bussiness move. Unless of course you're woring in the fried chicken bussiness.
razazteca Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 Its a song where the lyrics dont matter. Its all about the vocals and the band playing together to make beautiful music, its harmless metal. If I cared about lyrics I would listen to some suicidal emo or power ballads.
Nighthawk Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 Whoring in the fried chicken business? Sounds good.
The Kid Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 One of the things that made GNR so great was the lyrics. Lyrics count so much, you can have the incredible guitar solos and great everything else but if the lyrics aren't there it's just not good.
BUTT Posted June 4, 2004 Report Posted June 4, 2004 I definitely marked out for the use of "14 Years" by The Kid. Good shit. Use Your Illusion Posted June 4, 2004 Report Posted June 4, 2004 Buckethead is the fuckin' king. No-one who has ever seen the man play would ever say anything bad about him. Alas, Slash he is not. In fact, on Slash's official website it says that Slash is willing to return to GNR the second Axl decides to make a rock record and wants to include him. Slash has no interest in industrial music or whatever other shit Axl is playing around with. Weird he stated that though, considering all the stuff Axl has played live (i.e. Madagascar and The Blues) are all tunes Slash would have fitted into perfectly. If Axl still has beef with him, then I have no clue as to why. UYI

If I cared about lyrics I would listen to some suicidal emo or power ballads. That's pretty much the way I listen to some music. A lot of times I could careless what the song is about as long as the voice flows with the bands music. Especially when it comes to older rock and metal. I don't care if Axl, Steven Tyler and Robert Plant are singing about fucking a coconut as long as the vocals groove with the music. You don't always have to take music so serious. P.S. Suck my dick, bitches. 5400 post!

Oh, and being my typical asshole self, when Buckethead was in GNR, he was great. Now that he is not, he sucks. See how that works?
