nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 I'm one of the unpaid, but I'm still interested. I don't want to do PayPal, and thus I'm going to have to snail-mail him the money. I keep forgetting to write down kkk's address while at work, and am computer-less at my new apartment so can't TCB there. I'll write it down now, and get the $$$ out this week. NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 Man, I hate picking point spreads....how about Confidence points instead? For every game per week there is a confidence point, 15 games = 15 confidence points, 13 games = 13 confidence points...etc.... You award the highest number to the game you feel most confident picking, and the lowest number to the game you feel least confident in picking, and you fill the rest in accordingly. Every correctly picked game you get the correct pick points PLUS the confidence points you selected...... I like this better then picking point spreads.... but it aint my league, I am just a member...LOL
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2004 Well, I was going to PM everyone involved (I still will in a day or so probably), but since this got bumped I might as well say the following. Since not as many people have contributed $ as I hoped they would I'm not doing the entry fee. Anyone that has contributed already I will refund your money. I'm going to start with the paypal people then the check people. I was hoping to have a certain number of people already paid up by the first pre-season game, but that number has fallen short, and I'm not spending the next few weeks nagging people to put in their $5. I had an idea, it fell through, now time to move on. I'll still be doing the contest, but it'll just be for bragging rights. I'll talk more about this later with my PMs, and I'll start refunding $ in the next day or so. Thanks to all that participated...
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2004 OK, another update: I have sent refunds to everyone but Gert T, but I sent him a PM asking for his postal address so I can send him back his fee, so I consider this stage complete. Now I'm asking for everyone's emergency picks (don't forget a tie-breaker score, too). I would like it if you could PM me your picks before Sept. 1. If I do not get a person's emergency picks then your team will be available for anyone to claim. Once I get your emergency picks I'll put a LOCKED by your name where the PAID used to be. I want to get these picks now so I can see who is serious about this contest, and if there's any openings I will have a week or so to try to round up new contestants. Also, for those that have already submitted your emergency picks, don't forget to give me a tie-breaker score...

kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted August 26, 2004 Bump Update, since the facist sports mod is a pinn-IST~! There's only a few more days left before Sept. 1, which is the deadline to submit emergency picks. Now I've had a few people ask me "kkk, do I have to make picks for EVERY game? That's a whole lotta games!" No, you don't. All I'm looking for is something generic like "If I don't get my picks to you in time, I'll take all home teams favored by 5 points or more, and my TB score is 19." That's it. But kkk, I'll never forget to submit picks. I promise. Do I have to submit these hippie emergency picks? Yes. I did something similar last season just to make sure everyone who signed up were serious. Last season I had everyone pick winners for the last week of the pre-season. The emergency picks are kinda like this. But what if I don't submit a TB score? I'll let it slide, but believe me -- these TB scores are more important than you would think. The reason I'm doing this is because I remember last year there were a number of weeks where someone didn't submit their picks and had my picks count for theirs. I don't want to hear the bitching that took place last season (and I don't want to hear bitching by people that say a division opponent got a "free win" because the other TSM'er going up against them didn't submit their picks for that week). So, pretty please with sprinkles on top -- if you aren't one of those people with a LOCKED by your name in the first post on this thread, please submit your picks to me via PM by September 1. If I don't get a team's emergency picks by then their team becomes available for the masses.....

kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2004 Well, all the teams are locked and accounted for -- bob_barron is the new owner of the Bills. I'll have the Week 1 matchups up sometime this weekend, and don't forget the season starts on Thursday, Sept. 9. Picks must be submitted to me 24 hours before the first game of that week is to begin. So, for Week 1 I must have picks before 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8. For most other weeks it will be 1 p.m. Saturday. You can either submit picks to me via PM or post them on the one-and-only thread for each week. However, if you submit your picks in an open forum I don't want to hear any bitching because you opponent picked his games after you and took all your "upset" pics. Let the games begin...
