Whos a fan of Tequila?

Im not. Thanks to Tequila I cant drink heavy anymore. Anybody know what goes good with Tequila? I want to mix it with something for but I dont know what takes the taste out of Tequila. I got some Vodka Twist which I will probably also use but I need a soda or juice that works good. Any ideas?

Best thing to do is just use Lemons and salt. Its pretty damn easy and tastes like gold.

Personally, I'm not a fan, but when it comes to drinking liquor I use Tom's method. Straight up shots are always the way to go. I'm more of a beer man myself, although I like to take a few shots of whatever is laying around before we start with the brew.

I dont like mixing drinks either. I take straight shots also but after a night of a lot of Tequila with limes and salt, I could never drink it again. Take you back to my friend's 21 bday, I had a shitload of alcohol. I take a swig of Tequila and puked. Another night, I had like 3 beers, I take a shot of Tequila and puke. Tequila is a killer for me now. I just get a bad taste from it

The only problems I have with liquor came from Bacardi Gold. Drank damn near half a bottle in about 45 minutes. Wasn't keeping track of the time and didn't have a shot glass, so I just kept taking swigs of it. Long story short, that was the only time I ever puked from drinking, however I made myself, it wasn't like I was out of control. Since that faithful night in January, I have not had a sip of rum. I've been sticking to vodka when it comes to liquor for a while now.

I used to be a big drinker. I get shit too. But I dont mind it. When I drink with friends, I bring "bitch" drinks. But 30 minutes into drinking everyone is puking and Im having the time of my life. Like 3 weeks ago, I drank 2 bottles of Hpnotic which is like 17% alcohol in a 750 Ml bottle. My friends drank non stop shots of vodka mixed with Bacardi and juice. They all started puking and shit but I was fine.

In the past, I could drink tequila like water. I would never need "training wheels" after a shot. But lately, it isn't going down smooth at all. I don't know what happened, but I just don't like it as much anymore.

Normal Brew (Bud, Coors, shit like that)

Drinking a whole bottle of 99 Bananas (Just realized the awesomeness of that drink).

99 Bananas is MY drink of choice as I got my step mom drunk in two HUGE shots of it.

I used to drink Tequila religiously, until one night I decided to chase shots of Tequila with Shots of Vodka. After about 7 of each, I went blind. Or maybe I just passed out. I forget.

I'm a Jack Daniel's man myself. How I drink it depends on what I feel like drinking. I like it striaght, on the rocks, in a chilled glass, mixed with Coke and mixed with Sour mix.

 

As far as Tequila goes, I love the stuff but it gives me heartburn so I have to be careful to have some food in my stomach before I start drinking.

 

For beer, I'll drink Corona, Killian's, Harp, Bass and the occasional Guiness. Other than those, there is a brewery here in town that has awesome Wheat Beer.

Tequila is awesome.

It really, really fucks me up, it's what I drink when I wanna get completely and insanely smashed.

 

I don't know why it effects me so badly, I can drink vodka until the cow's come home and while I'll get drunk, I won't go insane. Drink it straight. Last time I drank it it was 1/2 a bottle of tequila and 1/4 of a bottle of vodka, all straight, all in shots, all in a hour............ I was fucked off my titties....... though, what happened next I'll never, EVER want to relive.

 

The only thing that fucks you up more is goon. We play a drinking game called "The BIG 1" and it generally means you'll drink at least 2L of goon in about an hour. I passed out in the middle of the road after that.

I'm in the same boat as you. I overdosed on tequila 11 years ago and to this day the smell makes me quesy. I started out that night doing shots with lime and salt. Got really drunk and started drinking it with coke to chase it. A little later it got to the point where I was drinking it from the bottle. I puked for 3 days. A week later I went to a bachelor party and just seeing the bottle I almost threw up. A month later in a store I saw the bottle and started sweating. A month later we were in Mexico and they were passing out some tropical mixed drinks at a dinner party at a hotel. I could smell it in the drinks even though it wasn't much in there. To this day I can't drink hard liquor anymore.

Tequila always leads to me having a fascination with fire, and a real penchant for battle. Normally when I'm drinking, I'm just a run of the mill surly drunk who doesn't like anyone, but generally won't throw a real determined punch for no reason. I'll clown around and scrap and all that, but Tequila makes me feel ten foot tall and bulletproof. I never touch the stuff to excess anymore, after boxing an entire small fraternity.

Right now, graduation night, I'm sitting at home drinking. So far my list is as follows and I'm getting chills thinking about how much I've drunk;

 

1 shot of Jack w/ Jagir & Red Bull chaser

 

6 or 7 shots of Seagram's Seven Crown (and I've still got most of the bottle left)

 

I'm also sipping on some Tomato Juice to take away the sting of Seagram's.

With me, I was into Hard alcohol at 18-20, and then I started liking beer better. I am not really a shots person. I am just the type that would rather kick back with a nice ice cold bottle of dark heinekin or something rather then doing a bunch of shots.

 

Now, I do still take shots, but I usually get buzzed from beer first.
