Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted June 8, 2004 Undertaker's Respect Frenzy ("You will respect The Undertaker. You will respect me. I demand respect., etic.) "Give me a Doo-wah-ditty-ditty-dum-ditty-doo!" - Chris Jericho, I wish they made a shirt out of that. I don't know... he was super over during that period. Guest xSarahx Report post Posted June 9, 2004 Not that this is a catchphrase but does anyone remember when Lance Storm was getting that last tiny push and he mentioned his Storm Troopers? I thought that was funny but it never caught on........
Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted June 9, 2004 Calling someone femmie / homosexual (Miles is thinking of stealing Stevie Ray's catchphrase) Oh, and LAnce Storm. "If I could be serious for a minute." That didn't exactly ignite crowds either did it?
Guest MikeSC Report post Posted June 9, 2004 Does anybody besides Stevie Ray call hoochies "yaks"? -=Mike
Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted June 9, 2004 No, I had never heard that one either. It's like Stevie Ray had his own freaking language, and the more I think about it, the more I'm starting to like it.

jester 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2004 Shortly before Kevin Nash was turfed, Michael Cole was trying very hard to get Kevin Nash's new nickname "Big Nasty" over. I think Big Gimpy would have worked better.
Just John 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2004 Actually it was Coach shilling "Big Nasty" for Kevin Nash. That was back when everyone hated Coach.

Boner Kawanger 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 Oh, and LAnce Storm. "If I could be serious for a minute." That didn't exactly ignite crowds either did it? I don't think it was supposed to.
Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 Yeah. "If I could be serious for a moment" was meant to draw moans and groans from the audience. It worked, too. Just as "and now please rise for the playing of the Canadian National Anthem" did. Man...Lance Storm in WCW ruled...
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 No, I had never heard that one either. It's like Stevie Ray had his own freaking language, and the more I think about it, the more I'm starting to like it. As am I. Someone make a StevieRayisch (the name for the language) dictionary! Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted June 10, 2004 Yeah. "If I could be serious for a moment" was meant to draw moans and groans from the audience. Yeah, but that was the beginning of his "boring" reputation. By the way, I'm a big Lance Storm fan. Probably the most misused talent in recent memory, but, the guy's gimmick was to be serious...(boring).
Guest NoMercy Report post Posted June 10, 2004 Anybody remember Sid during the later days of WCW, I think he was champ or on his way back to becoming champ, and coincidentally, Stevie Ray was doing commentary at the time on Thunder and Sid was ending his promos with "Mama says it be's that way, some times." Then when everybody was like What the Fuck, so he said on the mic "You know what I'm talkin' about Stevie Ray". I remember that so well because it was so awkward. Guarenteed worst catch phrase ever. Jericholic82 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 dxs s*ck it didnt catch on til dx v2.0. I dont recall shawn or trips saying it much(or even at all quite frankly, but I may have forgotten) but it was on their tshirt. but when we got face dx we got stuck with this annoying phrase especially road doggs and billys spiel as for others Back The Mack (down with the brown is close but dlo got canned too quickly into the angle) Free at last free at last, free to cane a white boys ass (well theodore only said it once on the MLK day ep of raw in 03 where he was introd as dlos manager in a cane match with tommy dreamer) Thuggin and buggin never got over Then again I guess I like Teddys lines but they dont get over with the crowd much How about Mike Sander's "SOL" line WCW 2000 CLB has never caught on and JR should just let it die and while we mention Christian, his new baby goes to sleep line will probably never catch much attention Then again Trish's whole stratusfaction thing is pretty retarded anyway as well

Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Teddy Long's shit never caught on because a) He's a heel, and b) Most WWE fans are extremely lame and can't understand the superiority of Playaspeak.
Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Free at last free at last, free to cane a white boys ass (well theodore only said it once on the MLK day ep of raw in 03 where he was introd as dlos manager in a cane match with tommy dreamer) Ok, that's got to be as offensive as Bradshaw's liitle stunt. .....but absolutely hilarious. And to add something new, what would a crappy catchphrase thread be without a little something from the DFG. (Rick Steiner for those of you who are fortunate enough not to remember.) "You want some? Come get some. You don't like me? Bite me."
Kardo 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 How about Mike Sander's "SOL" line WCW 2000 And you know what that means. 4 years on and me and my friends still use it, can't have been that bad of a catch phrase.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2004 Just as "and now please rise for the playing of the Canadian National Anthem" did. Eh, I think the Soviet National Anthem got more heat than the Canadian one ever did for some reason. Especially when Volkoff tried to sing it.

Guest Benno Report post Posted June 13, 2004 its not really a catchphrase but i liked when HHH(and ric flair) started calling himself "The Franchise", if only as a shot against Shane Douglas...it ran for a couple of weeks a couple of months ago, and then he dropped it as a nickname..
