Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted June 10, 2004 I don't see JBL getting a longer main event programme on the back of his little German incident. But if Vince wants Bradshaw to be a maineventer so he shall be. I can easily see Bradshaw winning the title because of his actions in Germany. Scary, isn't it? Kardo 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 Well, I don't trust sources. Didn't 'sources' say Mark Jindrak was getting the title shot? Meltzer said on the LAW that WWE was desperate and might try anything. The host said "You think the might push Jindrak" and Meltzer responded with a "Well they pushed Bradshaw". The whole thing was blown out of proportion.
tbondrage99 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 What they should do is turn RVD heel and join him up with the Dudleyz/Heyman. Make RVD "Mr. Thursday Night" the cocky SOB he can be, give the Dudleyz their edge back and along with Heyman we have a good heel stable. Thats so funny cause its what everyone wants but cant accept the fact that it wont happen. Espically by SummerSlam. So were going to be treated to Eddie/Bradsaw III huh? Lord knows I dont give a fuck anymore.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 Someone who says this tarnishes the SummerSlam name obviously forgets Diesel/Mabel. If we get Guererro/Bradshaw in Toronto, it'll be booed out of the building, while the crowd chants something to the effect of "Eddie deserves better." SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 Oh God. I doubt this is true, but if it is, then doesn't that mean Bradshaw needs to win the belt at GAB for it to continue? God help us all. Let's consider for a minute some of the wrestling greats who have worked for Vince McMahon, but never held a WWF/E World Championship: Ricky Steamboat Owen Hart Mr. Perfect Ted DiBiase Davey Boy Smith The Dynamite Kid Vader Roddy Piper Terry Funk Tito Santana Brian Pillman Scott Hall Fuck Bradshaw. (Suddenly Randy Orton doesn't seem so bad, now does he?)

So very true. It a horrible thing to say but I would like to see Bradshaw get injured and be out for months so there would be no Summer Slam match....but then our luck is that Bradshaw returns around the time of The Royal Rumble and Vince gets the idea to give Bradshaw the win, putting him right into the main event in Wrestlemania against then Smackdown champion Orlando Jordon. iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 Hey, when I heard the Jindrak at SS rumor, I said no way. Not gonna happen Vince isn't that stupid. Now, I've gotta say the same thing. The fans are not reacting well to the feud, it's not drawing, and it doesn't seem like they planned for it to be anything more than a transitional feud to begin with. Plan A for Summerslam is still Eddie vs. Angle. That's the money match they've been giving a slow build to. Plan B is probably Eddie vs. Taker or Booker or RVD or even Cena. There's no way that someone shitty like JBL or Jindrak main events Summerslam, even if it is just the Smackdown ME.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 Putting Eddie over Undertaker clean would probably erase all the damage done by the Bradshaw program and make Smackdown's champion look on equal footing with Raw's champion for the first time in months. I'll actually advocate that idea. ... unfortunately, it'd end up with Vince getting talked into Undertaker getting "one last run" and... yeeeeeah. EDIT: Quite frankly, given the current state of Smackdown, I'm afraid to see Eddie lose the title to anyone. He'd probably get stuck with Mordecai or something. Guest Loss Report post Posted June 10, 2004 This probably isn't true. I doubt if the company even knows whose headlining Summerslam, and Keller needs something to talk about. He's notorious for starting stuff like this.

Guest Benno Report post Posted June 10, 2004 How fucked is it that Vince would rather have Bradshaw as WWE champion instead of RVD or Book, two guys that are far better that Bradshaw on anything. how are they really? booker is charasmatic yes, but bland as hell on the mic, and rvd has no speaking abilities at all, plus theyre bothly hardly motivated in the ring anymore, i'd argue that today, bradshaw is much more entertaining then the both of them....of course, this is mainly because of rvd and booker t's collective burial over the past couple of years leading to them seemingly not giving a shit, but i don't think i'd push them further than where they are now, and thats hard to say because i was the biggest rvd mark a couple of years ago... Guest Loss Report post Posted June 10, 2004 The whole point is that we'll never know if Vince would rather put the belt on Bradshaw, unless he actually does. This is like playing telephone, and this is why so many wrestlers hate the Internet. I hate to say that, but it's true.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 The whole point is that we'll never know if Vince would rather put the belt on Bradshaw, unless he actually does. And when he does, we'll be there to bitch about it. As will most of the locker room.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2004 You gotta admit the possibility of Bradshaw winning the belt exists in very real terms, though. I won't admit that. Because it's not happening. Bradshaw would be the death knell for the company in terms of ratings and drawing power, both of which he has negative influences on. Plus, do you see an anti-Latino WWE Champ doing well on UPN? Now, I will say this: There is a very real possibility that Bradshaw will continue to be pushed strongly after this. The reason I say that is because I can see Vince getting very defensive in the wake of the MSNBC firing (which he's said to be pissed over) and pushing Bradshaw just to show that he "supports the boys." Guest Loss Report post Posted June 10, 2004 I agree with LOTC. I don't express Bradshaw's push to stop -- they've put too much effort into it to go back now -- but I don't expect him to win the title either. How anyone got that from the original post of this thread is beyond me.
