Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 I'm glad Chip and Kim won. Anyway, has there ever been a finale where it came down to the actual race to the finish line? That'd be nuts.

Season 2. Chris & Alex out ran the evil bastard Wil at the finish line.
Chuck Woolery 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 I was very much rooting for Colin and Christie, but them coming in second is okay (I suppose). Chip and Kim winning was a great moment, though. And Chip is most definitely a pimp daddy. Not as good as the Zach and Flo season, though. They were awesome.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 Not as good as the Zach and Flo season, though. They were awesome. No, this one was better, because a strong, likeable team won. I give Zach all the credit in the world for pulling off the win where one didn't seem likely, but his partner wasn't so much deserving of the win.
Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 This was the first year where my favourite team in the race won.
UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 I can't fucking believe they won. Colin and Christie deserved it.

Kahran Ramsus 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 This was the first year where my favourite team in the race won. This was the first time in the history of reality TV that my favourite actually won. Well, it is rare for me too. Brian the Pornstar from Survivor: Thailand was my favourite there, and Richard Hatch of course, plus Bill on the Apprentice, but that's about it.
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 Colin proposed to Christie on The Early Show this morning, and she accepted. Awww...psychos in love.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 Colin proposed to Christie on The Early Show this morning, and she accepted. Awww...psychos in love. It'll be one intense wedding... "Do you promise to love, honour, cherish, and argue with Christie for as long as you both shall live?" I can't fucking believe they won. Colin and Christie deserved it. Colin and Christie showed that they were the team most CAPABLE of winning, to be sure. But towards the end of the race they kept making little mistake after little mistake, and it finally caught up with them in Denver. Chip and Kim were definitely the most deserving. Throughout the Race they were respectful of the countries and cultures that they encountered, and they weren't bad racers to boot. This was the first time in the history of reality TV that my favourite actually won. I think this was the second time for me (Dorothy won The Mole 2). Third if you count The Hutch. The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 I heard off the radio this morning that a new season of Amazing Race will start this Saturday. Is this true? I can't find any info about it at cbs.com however.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 I think they pushed it back to October...
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2004 Bumping this because I finally saw it. Nikky was doing her best Flo impression when she threw that tantrum in Calgary. And then plopped down on her ass like a baby. Too funny. I laughed at Christie falling too. And the useless Bowling Moms. And WHOOOOOOOOOO to Chipper and Kim winning. Whoever I cheer for never wins, and this had made me very happy. Especially with them bawling at the end. And Chip was so pimp grabbing both Twins. Also, Kim kicked ass during that last leg. Good for her. Damn, I really like this show. Glad it's popular.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2004 Apparently they cut out the Roadblock in the last leg, where they had to build a teepee. Don't know exactly where it fit in chronologically, but I'd suppose that it came after the detour.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2004 btw, TAR6 has apparently been pushed back to November (avoiding the World Series?), and I found this on InsidePulse about the teams 1. Jonathan Baker and Victoria Fuller - Married. Call themselves "Team Hollywood". He's an entrepreneur. She's an ex-Playmate. He is rumored to have dyed his hair blue for the race. 2. Lori Chestnut Harvey and Bolo Dar'tainian - Pro wrestlers from Molino, Florida. Dar'tainian says, "Being pro wrestlers, our job is to piss people off." 3. Rebecca Cardon and Adam Malis - Call themselves the "Weird Ex-Dating Couple". They're spinning teachers. 4. Kris Perkins and Jon Buehler - Dating long distance. She goes to UCLA, he is a bar-owner in Scottsdale, Arizona. 5. Freddy Holliday and Kendra Bentley - Models, engaged. He says if he has to eat "something funky" it can "ruin" him for the whole day. 6. Lena and Kristy Jensen - Sisters. Kirsty is a devout Morman, mother, model and student. Lena is a striptease aerobics instructor. 7. Aaron Crumbaugh and Hayden Kristianson - Models, dating. Say they argue a lot. 8. Hera and Gustavus Mcleod - Father and daughter. She teaches special education. He's an ex-CIA operative currently working as an adventure pilot. 9. Maria Sampogna and Meredith Tufaro - Best friends from Queens like to laugh. 10. Donald and Mary Jean St. Claire - Married for 23 years. Call themselves "Team Medicare". 11. Avi Schneier and Joe Rashbaum - Friends since high school. Schneier is a high school teacher who studies Eastern philosophy. Rashbaum is an ad exec. The sixth edition of the show has been pushed back to November. A Playmate (I think she's one of the busty blonde ones), pro wrestlers and a chick (I think) with the same name as Darth Vader. Plus what sounds like an Alpha Male team, which almost by default makes you peg them as a Final 3 team. No Rich and Rudy though, as was rumoured...
starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2004 Picture of teams (numbers correspond to previous post) Never mind what I said about the guys. They look more Cha Cha Cha than Alpha Male. Based on the pictures I'd now guess that team 5 or 7 will win...
CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2004 btw, TAR6 has apparently been pushed back to November (avoiding the World Series?) They're waiting for a better timeslot -- they'll be slotting it in whenever one of their new shows gets cancelled. Apparently, CBS didn't want to give them the DEATH slot on Saturday night after seeing how well the show can do when it's you know, PROGRAMMED AND PROMOTED PROPERLY.
