justsoyouknow Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Why in the name of God is that thread in Classics? Is this your way of placating Rudo after insulting his honor and moving his other thread? Read the very last post in this so-called "Classic" thread. It's nik saying, "Agh - No More" and banishing it to....Classics. Tell me exactly how this makes sense to you, oh omnipotent moderating staff.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 It was a fun thread when it first happened. It needs more pics of Victoria though now that she's become some hybrid stripper/raver thing.
justsoyouknow Posted June 9, 2004 Author Report Posted June 9, 2004 Other than Rudo's usual masturbatory posting habits, I saw nothing that was "fun".
Art Sandusky Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Because it's another "genius and imaginative thread" that came from a rather piddling WWE newsbit?
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Well then let me rephrase that. It was fun going with the flow and taking people's statements out of context and then using it against them to disgust them further.
Der Kommissar Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I fail to see anything remotely classic about that thread. It doesn't seem to be entertaining in the slightest, let alone memorable or classic.
justsoyouknow Posted June 9, 2004 Author Report Posted June 9, 2004 Exactly my point. It's nothing other than the usual Rudo "look at my fantasy booking" post, but for some reason, it's now a Classic. The only logical answer is that the mods are trying to make up for hurting his feelings.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Maybe it's in classic because it's the only one that is closed for discussion. Otherwise, I have no idea why it's there. Seems like a C-level news thread that turned stupid.
Der Kommissar Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 They probably just went "fuck it!" and stuck it there. It is not like the classsics folder is considered a beacon of credibility anyway.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 THat's not funny at all. Â It's so pathetic that Classics has become so diluted. Â How can THAT get in and not 1,000,000 Reasons Why DJ Jeff Sucks?
The Czech Republic Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 If you did some selective pruning, that WWE Table of Contents thread that ran concurrently with Tomko & Fertig would so be in.
Bruiser Chong Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 I fail to see anything remotely classic about that thread. It doesn't seem to be entertaining in the slightest, let alone memorable or classic. And thus, it fits in perfectly with virtually every thread in the folder.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 It's good of you to stop by to insult TSM. Regular like clockwork you are.
Bruiser Chong Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 It's true. I think even most of the TSM loyals will admit that the majority of the entries in that folder are far from "classic." Some threads are in there just because they've got 123,834 replies. OMG CLASSIC~!!! I think a lot of the early entries in the folder are worthy of being there, but the recent ones fall flat, whether it be because the thread simply isn't that good, has one of those "had to be there" traits or both.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Oh I don't disagree with you there at all. I completely agree actually. Â It just seems that the only time you really post is to somehow degrade TSM. Â I do admit your much less of a culprit in that respect then some others. Â It's just something I noticed.,andthere's nothing wrong with feeling that way it's just a little tiresome.
Art Sandusky Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 The last really worthy entrant into classics (despite what I may have said in the threads themselves) was probably the Rawmvp thread, and that's debatable still. Just about every wrestling-related one shouldn't be in there, even if the Vince McMahon Ladder Legdrop thread was a riot when I was posting in it.

Seeing as how I rarely post these days outside of the baseball-related threads, I don't think you've got much of a case here. Since the beginning of April (aka the beginning of baseball season), it's been a rarity to post much outside of the sports folder.
nl5xsk1 Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Am I the only one that thinks that referring to any thread on a message board as being a 'classic' is kind of a joke? If I had a dollar for everytime I said to myself, "man, that thread was such a great time ... I should go re-read it and relive the magic" I'd have less than one dollar. Â Just my two cents, though.
justsoyouknow Posted June 10, 2004 Author Report Posted June 10, 2004 So am I gonna get a response to this? What are the mods so busy doing that they can't journey down to the one folder where questioning their decision is allowed?
IllustriousOne Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Discussing a revamp of the front site, among other things. Â I'm sure if you try something novel like, keeping your pants on, you'll get a response.
justsoyouknow Posted June 10, 2004 Author Report Posted June 10, 2004 Sass just passed through. I see no response. Â I was under the impression that if I waited more than 24 hours, I'd get a question answered. Is there some sort of form I'm supposed to fill out or something?
Guest FrigidSoul Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 Its no wonder you're not getting a reply if you forgot to fill out the proper forms
Art Sandusky Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 The mods are all too busy delivering pizzas in 30 minutes or less to honor the other "concerns addressed in less than 24 hours" commitment. Â Oh, and big ups to Tom for getting me my pizza in 24:45. I gave him a healthy tip.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 He was 10 seconds late with mine
{''({o..o})''} Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 That didn't stop you from checking him out out of habit.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 I was a little surprised it wasn't the pizza girl that's all
Sass Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 Sass just passed through. I see no response. I was under the impression that if I waited more than 24 hours, I'd get a question answered. Is there some sort of form I'm supposed to fill out or something? That's because...  I don't have one.  Sorry.  Perhaps you should PM Dames about this then since none of the mods I've spoken to knew about this thread moving business.
Art Sandusky Posted June 12, 2004 Report Posted June 12, 2004 It's always funny to see a moderator on an internet messageboard that was one of the people who was on some supposed grand crusade to improve a folder say "who cares?" about anything.
