Chavo Sr. apparently felt management was pushing things too far, trying to humiliate him, such as suggesting he parade around on TV in women's underwear.

 

He missed both Smackdown house shows this weekend, apparently unexcused absenses, which was the final straw.

 

It's not clear what this means to the status of the Cruiserweight Title, since Chavo Sr. held that title until being released.

Chavo Sr. was one of the only highlights on Smackdown. I am sad to see him go.

 

You know a versatile intelligent booker would see this as a way to rebuild the shattered cruiserweight division. Hire new cruiserweights and create a "worldwide" cruiserweight tournament. Maybe even make a newly designed belt that looks important, so they can get away from the Jackie/Chavo Sr. stigma it has now.
