Is anybody else not really feeling this game? I have it and am already getting bored with it. Personally, I think HCTP's graphics are better, and being able to switch rosters in HCTP seems better. What about you?

I wouldn't say I'm completely bored with it yet, because I'm still having fun with 6-man tag elimination matches for Survivor Series on Legend difficulty. Plus, having Royal Rumbles with 3 other people is fun.

 

I can now officially say that Season really does suck, however. I think it's already been mentioned, but there are too many divas. Originally, I was Shelton Benjamin on Raw and had to feud with Tajiri over Torrie. After that season, I'm Big Show on Smackdown and I'm immediately in the same feud with Rene Dupree over Torrie. A few months later, I'm feuding with Chavo over Sable. Seriously, if you're not in a title feud, divas are the reasons for feuds. Maybe by the end I can acquire the managerial services of Trish and I can have all three as an option.

It's because everyone complained last year about the divas not having a place in HCTP. ...I mean seriously, who the hell was complaining? Figured people would be happy. And I can still remember the report coming out from THQ saying next year they'd make an emphasis on the divas... and damnit, they did...

It sounds like thq needs to market these games more to all wrestling fans and not just 11 year old boys. I for one could care less about wrestling over divas and the bra and panties matches. God has anybody seen the commercial for the game? What a waste of time and money. Who cares about Torrie and Stacie, just show me the game.

Season mode sucks. Either you're feuding over Torrie or your'e in the same exact storyline, if you're the World champ. When critics said the storylines were linear, they sure as hell weren't lying. I think even HCTP has more 'diverse' storylines than SD vs Raw, and that's not saying much.

Just finished first season as Shelton Benjamin. Won the IC title early on and the rumble which got me into a world title match on raw against randy orton and I won. I then beat taker (wwe champ) at wm in a 3 stages of hell title unification match to end the season. started a 2nd season and now shelt is feuding with kane and I beat him at backlash in an ultimate submission match.

 

Ive unlocked Bret,Beefcake, Mankind And Andre so far

 

 

it sucks that you have to buy your created belt, but

 

I made a pretty cool Internet Champion Belt (and gave it to Benoit of course he is the net god-though I had HHH beat him for it just for a goof)

 

 

I like this game, just wish it had more wrestlers on it, got to start making caws

 

 

and why is Pipers and snukas music not the real one? they have brets and beefcakes (awesome) I guess liscensing issues, but I thought they owned all these songs (maybe ones not made by johnston cant be used? is jimmy hart suing wwe for his songs or somethin?)

 

 

 

great new camera view as it shows the ring the way it is on tv and commentary isnt too bad. Arenas look great yet again with wm xx really looking good.

 

 

but they took out the raw and sd themes (granted sds would be outdated like the chyron graphics are) wtf?

1. Roddy Piper uses his theme from WWF and WCW in TNA now so obviously there's issues

 

2. Bret Hart's theme was made by Jimmy Hart thus ruling your theory out.

For instance...difficulty, if it says you have to be on hard..it has to be on hard, if it says normal, it has to be normal, etc. Also, you have to have the match rules set to default, as the challenges say. And you can only have the amount of finisher it says you can have...and most of them say 0.So just look at the requirements...and set it like that.

Yes, everything has got to be EXACTLY as it states. I think that if you do something as simple as turn off entrances, it will not work, if it stated you have to have everything set as default.

Christ, it took me forever to beat Benoit in a submission match with Jericho. Just got done though, and have about 5 or 6 challenges left. Which ones have you guys found to be the hardest?

Well... the cages matches are still the same. You can mash buttons to get up faster, and you can press R1 to jump off so you don't get knocked off... but they still suck big time.

This is what I hate about video games. The innovations that a game from 1999 had and a game from 2004 doesn't have. If developers can create a realistic steel cage match in 1999 why the hell cant they do it now? What is the point of having a cage match if the cage isn't interactive. Yukes rather spend more time on stupid voice overs and fucking bra and panties matches that nobody cares about. I rather have them spend time improving gameplay and matches like the cage match and hell in cell. How about instead of putting the bra and panties match they can put in new animations into the hell in the cell match. That way when you throw someone through it the effect might vary every now and then. Why not work on doing choke slams and powebombs off the side of hell in the cell.

I think it was a dumb move that Yukes decided to use voiceovers. They should have did the same thing with this game as they did with HCTP, but added more to it. They added a few match types, but having a really crappy season mode, and not being able to adjust the rosters is sheer stupidity. Well, it looks like I'll be playing a lot of Exhibition matches. Either that, or more HCTP.

EDIT: I've also just noticed that you cannot just create a stable out of the blue.. I tried making Team Angle out of Angle, Jindrak and a CAW of Reigns and it told me that Jindrak & Angle couldn't be put together because the wrestlers stats have to be at a specific level. How fucking lame is that?

actually I dont think pipers theme in tna is not the exact same one from wwf, its a little different(at least i think it is ) but the same tune to it (like he did in wcw) Im guessin that pipers theme was licensed from some other catalog and they would have to pay for it (like they would have had to do for flairs real theme---which he did have in sd:sym oddly enough)

 

as for snuka I have no idea

Aside from themes, I think one glaring thing stands out about the legends.. Mankind and Rock have no titantrons even though both men have been in multiple Smackdown games WITH titantrons.

I've been playing my half-brother's copy of SD vs. Raw so that when he moves out and has more money to buy himself a house, then I'll decide whether or not I want to buy SD vs. Raw for myself.

 

Right now, since I've unlocked everything and finished the Season mode (which was shitty when Torrie, Stacy, and Sable got involved, obviously), in addition to finding out that some of the moves in Create-a-Moveset that were in HCTP were taken out (only fucking Kidman's SSP is in the game and not London's/Liger's/Lesnar's?!?!) and the CAW mode being disappointing this year, I'm leaning towards sticking with HCTP. Unless, for some reason, I end up buying SD vs. Raw for myself later on when the price drops since it isn't worth more than HCTP anyway.

 

BTW, Vivisectvi, there's a trick to easily putting Kurt Angle, Mark Jindrak, and Luther Reigns in a stable. I think you have put Angle in first, then put someone with 84 overall stats in, then put Jindrak in, and delete the person with 84 overall by pressing square. Then, you just add Reigns in. Try it out, it worked for me.
