Red Sox-Yankees Series

Recommended Posts

Guest Anglesault
Since Schilling himself beat the Yankees in 2001, does that really apply?

In the future, please refrain these postings to a single thread.

Schilling is a .500 pitcher against the New York Yankees.

Edit: And the Yankees reducing OHMYGODSOCOOL Yankee Hater Curt Schilling to tears is a huge event.

Where is he crying? Alot of pitchers lower their head when they lose a game they really want to win.

Now he appears to be drinking.

"We were tenacious. We played with intensity," Schilling said. "If we play like we played tonight, every night for the rest of the season, we're going to go to the World Series."

Uhm, Curt, if you play like you did on Friday for the rest of the year, you'll lose 110 games.

Hey boss I hate to tell you this but Schilling actually left Game 7 after giving up what should have been the World Series winning home run to Alfonso Soriano so he didn't exactly beat them on his own. Yes and somehow he still got World Series co-MVP that frustrates me to no end.

Thanks.

Schilling blew it when it mattered most and he had no business being named Co-MVP, but that doesn't change that he pitched a very good series.

True but I mean he doesen't dominate the Yankees so making that thing is fine no need to take it off the thread.

Thanks.

That is fucking hilarious HAHA!!! Lets Go Yankees!!!

Thanks.

No, what's fucking hilarious is that you can't spell ESPN right, unless you're in fact NOT ripping off Cheap Seats, and instead referring to some entity of which I bear no knowledge.

That's a bunch of nonsense. Schilling surrendered two runs in 7 1/3 IP. 90% of the time, that will earn a win. And how can you say he didn't deserve the co-MVP award? 1.69 ERA, 21 1/3 IP, 26 Ks, 2 BBs. Johnson had a lower ERA, but didn't pitch as many innings.

Drury has been allowed to roam all sorts of folders with his stupidity for too long. I second the banning.

I would have charged the field and taken an arrest to beat A-Hole's ass with them.

Woah, another reason why I love baseball, fights.

Anyone notice that baseball players seem to be the best fighters? When was the last time you've seen a good basketball fight?

Remember this great fight?

and A-Rod threatened a starting pitcher in his second season who hit him above the ass with a slider that got away. Your point?

I've been watching Beverly Hills Cop II on TBS. That shows how much I've cared since the fight.

I'm trying to get a ride to pick up the ESPN NFL game too.

Which is why you don't pick fights with catchers. It's not rocket science. Especially a guy built like Varitek.

whoooooo!!, I live in England and have just discovered baseball this season :)

Anywayz we (england) only get two games a week (wednseday and sunday). So i have just been keeping up with it on the in game thing on MLB.com :)

Why did i choose to support the rod sox? Well during the first game i saw there was a bit about game 7 of last years play off and i took them to my heart

I love Yanks-Sox series.

For those that care, the cheapest seats I found on eBay for this series: $450 for two obstructed view seats.

Oh, and about Tim McCarver and his original call (Varitek started it): bull. He's walking up to tell A-Rod that it wasn't intentional, he gets a bunch of fuck you's out of A-Rod, A-Rod tells him to bring it, so he does. Big deal. *shrug*

If anyone gets suspended due to this, I will immediately shit on the MLB offices.

Fun game to watch, although I'm probably going to die cause of this Sox team. My young heart can't take this much longer. We witniss the rebirth of Kevin Millar's career, Arroyo throws decently, the hitting finally starts to come around. But if this defense keeps up, along with middle relief, I'll be screaming trade till I'm blue in the face.

...who is damn happy the Sox took one from the Yanks for the first time since April...

He didn't threaten the pitcher, and it was 2 outs no one on, it's very possible that it was intentional, especially since the Yankees were up 3-0. Varitek was the one who started it, A-Rod wouldn't just curse 'em out for no reason. Pussy Ass Varitek then hits him in the face (which wasn't even a punch, some girl like shove) which starts up the fight.
