NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2004 It was in the late 80's and this machine happened to be sitting in a 711..... The best I can remember is that when you punched it made a sound like, "poo poo poo" and when you kicked it made a sound like, "hike hike hike" It was a VERY simplistic video game. Basically just a basic kick & punch fight scheme, and it just had to do with timing......I must have been about 8 or 9 years old at the time.....

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2004 If it had 2 joysticks then it was Karate Champ. if that is the game that Frank Dukes and Ray Jackson were playing in Blood Sport, then no it isn't that one......
Jingus 0 Report post Posted June 30, 2004 That game's had a bunch of different titles, but it's usually just called Kung-Fu. It was one of my old favorites both in the arcade and on the NES. You take your generic fighting guy, Thomas, and brawl through five levels of a giant pagoda to rescue your girlfriend Sylvia from Mr. X. My favorite opponent was the Magician on the fourth floor; if you jump-kicked him it DECAPITATED him, but his head grew back and it did no damage. Heh. Fun memories. ...yeah, like I said in the cosplay thread, I wasted a LOT of my youth on gaming.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2004 As said before, it sounds like this game. It's just called Kung Fu, I had it on the NES, and I still love it to this day. There was an arcade game by the same people, called Kung Fu Masters, so it could be that, as I don't know if the NES Kung Fu was ever in the arcades. EDIT: Kung Fu was also an arcade game, so it could be that one also.
Jingus 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2004 There was indeed an arcade version of the NES Kung Fu, went by the same name, was pretty much identical except for better graphics.
