Kash Done With TNA?

Recommended Posts

All signs indicate Kid Kash is finished with TNA. One of the most dynamic personalities of the promotion and one of its better all-around workers, he was often the highlight of some drab TNA PPV events over the past year-plus. He had recently been teaming with Dallas in the tag team division, but had been scheduled for X Title matches the last two weeks on TNA's PPV.

He was pulled from last weeks X Title match due to a broken bone in his leg. He was then again scheduled for this week's PPV against Styles, but after arriving at the arena and having a discussion with management, he left. Details of the situation are not known, other than sources within TNA believe there was a blow-up between Kash and management.

Kash has now been removed from TNA's website, a strong indication that his suspension is not just an angle or believed to be a temporary situation by TNA management.

Kash upset management when he spoke out against the way he had been treated compared to others, notably A.J. Styles, whom he said was coddled by management. That led to a confrontation at last week's TNA PPV backstage between Kash and Styles.

As reported in this week's Torch Newsletter "TNA Newswire," Kash had told TNA management he'd rather have a release than a raise due to his frustration with how he had been treated. TNA management at the time told him the had invested too much time into his character to just release him.

Kash has been a controversial backstage figure for years dating back to his time in ECW, when he was known as hot-headed and outspoken. It's that reputation that may have scared off any interest by WWE in signing him. Because of his height, he wouldn't have been a heavyweight contender in WWE, but he could have been a major player in the Cruiserweight Division, playing his "trailer park Jerry Spring guest redneck gimmick."

It should be noted, though, that Kash did make it known to other wrestlers that his injury was bothering him and he wasn't sure whether he'd be physically able to wrestle. He may have been removed from the TNAwrestling.com website in order to sell the fact that he is suspended in order to play into an eventual "work/shoot" angle, although most indications point to him being through with the company.

If this is true, I can't say I didn't see it coming, but it is still a huge loss to TNA as Kash was an excellent heel on a roster short of charismatic workers.

He'll most likely be back. Once he gets out there and realizes that TNA is the only place that will put up with his bs he'll be back as quickly as possible.

If he's gone, it's to bad. But, I can't blame TNA. Seems Kash brought this on himself.

Kash needs to realize something, now is not the time to leave TNA. If you want to leave fine, but wait a couple of months and see if they can get the FX spot. If they can perhaps Kash could make major money or get a serious offer from WWE. He has been with them all this time, waiting a couple of months would not kill him. This is not a sound business decision on his part.

i think the real question here is: what's gonna happen to DALLAS!?!?!?

I never really liked Kash much, but he's definately charasmatic and sometimes seems like the most over heel in TNA sometimes.

OHHH NO!

If he's liked backstage, he'll spend two or three weeks doing Xplosion squashes, and then they'll throw him out with Jeff Jarrett, Raven (with a makeover), or even The Naturals in the bodyguard role.

I think even TNA knows the guy isn't going to make it in a wrestling role.

This has to be 100% work. I heard about an interview Kash did on the last PPV he was. Apparantly he was saying some of the same things that were mentioned in that online article. Like TNA has the balls to release him or anybody else for that matter? Yeah right! Even though he's a guy that WWE would never take due to his talked about rep and their prejudice against smaller wrestlers.

If he's gone, I don't think it's a big deal. He's Over rated in my opinion. Plus they have the Chris Daniels feud to go back to with AJ, which was the Plan from the start. Kash was just a placeholder.

i also heard this was a worked shoot, so i'm leaning towards that conclusion. not that its a bad idea, mind you. i was a fan of the Kash/AJ fued from the start, and adding the pro-TNA vs. anti-TNA dynamic would just add to it.

Here it was that I was just starting to like you again.

I'm a huge mark for Kash, and would hate to see him leave. I think he is one of the best things going for TNA right now. I hope it is a work. It's nice to see someone from my hometown do something other than work at a wheel factory.

Ew....... You're cities wrestlers are as sad as you.

I'm thinking this is more of a work than anything, as Kash's page is still up if you type in the html for it.

I live 15 minutes from where the NWA first formed. Other than that, there's nothing wrestling related worth a damn in Iowa. I'd be happy with Jackie and the Bashams.
