"But can Jessica Simpson, a singer with barely any real acting experience pull off starring in her own film? "

Since she can barely pull off a pizza commercial, no.

I have no idea how Jessica Alba would look with blonde hair, but otherwise - I'd love it...

I saw her playing a blonde stripper in a scene from Sin City. I thought she looked good, but I've had a thing for her ever since Idle Hands.

The thing that gets me is if she is casted you just know that they're going to have Dazzler make a chicken of the sea joke or a bufflao wings joke. And when they do I'm so going to throw something at the screen or punch it out.

The only thing that pisses me off is that now Halle Berry's ruined 2 comic book roles. Storm and Catwoman. Horrible.

And if they want to continue using X-Men after everyone else in the current movie is tired of it, just recast with unused characters and call it UNCANNY X-Men. It will fool everyone.

I like the fact that they can now focus on characters like Colossus and Iceman now that we know Berry won't be back. Take it as a blessing in disguise.

I read in 411mania.com that the Elisha Cuthbert was one of the finalists set to play the Invisible Woman. At this point, I would be satisfied with Jessica Alba, Rachel McAdams, Kerri Russell or Elisha Cuthbert.

The big question now is who will they cast as Dr. Doom.

"The big question now is who will they cast as Dr. Doom."

Considering how much WB cared about what the studio did to Catwoman, be grateful that the most obvious choice is busy being a governor right now.

Fortunately, Fantastic Four is a Marvel comic, and WON'T be produced by Warner. That's not to say that Fox and Columbus won't make some bad decisions, but Columbus did okay with Harry Potter, so I'm hoping that it works out well...

I actually didn't mind Berry as Storm. That being said, she's totally wrong for the role of Catwoman. The worst thing is that people are going to say that her being in the film is "great for African-Americans." Well, no it isn't. The concept SUCKS.

I don't mind Catwoman being black. What I have a problem with is her having powers and not being Selina Kyle. Thank God we can still look forward to "Batman Begins."

Halle Berry was great in Monster Ball. I loved that movie.

Michael Chiklis is the main character(bald guy white guy) in the Shield right? If so, he is the PERFECT character for Ben Grimm.

Who here has seen Mission Impossible 2?

I think the bad guy would be good for Dr. Doom.

What I have a problem with is a director clueless about making American action movies, a terrible script, a lead actress that's lousy for the part who apparently uses wooden delivery, goofy dialogue the likes of Schumacher's Batman, a ridiculous costume, Sharon Stone being in it, the whole thing being promoted exclusively on Berry's name and the promise of TnA, and the lack of any connection to the Batman universe...well, that's a plus with all the other problems, but you get the point.

I'll probably have more gripes once I see it.

Since when is incredibly contrived dribble like Catwoman challenging? I couldn't care less about Halle Berry. Hope they get someone in the same age range to replace her though. Milian is what, 21 or something? I think Angela Basset could be a good Storm if they made her look a bit younger onscreen.

I just saw the trailer for Cellular. Evans looks like he'd make a good Torch. Chiklis as Grimm though is one of the best casting decisions, if not the best, that they could have made. He's not a true superhero... he's Al Capone made of rock.

Not only would she be perfect for the role, she could probably do the accent as well.

Glad that over-hyped bint won't be in X3. But do they really hope to wrap the whole X-universe up in a trilogy? Considering how in-depth The Phoenix Saga was, I would expect that there would be more than 3 more movies.

Yeah, I always thought the X-Men franchise had five movies in them before they would stop it all. It's only just starting to build into something now! Same thing with Spider-Man, it should have five films.

As for Halle Berry, she was the most undeserving Oscar winner in recent memory. Nicole Kidman should have won it for Moulin Rouge, or Jennifer Connelly who shouldn't have been in the Supporting Category. Like Die Another Day was such a challenging role for her. She's been in one great movie (X2) and two good movies (X-Men and Monster's Ball). The rest have been dire. Get over yourself, you're terrible.

I just hope future Spidey films don't go with the numerical route. I'd much rather they go with the comic titles. If Spidey 2 were called "THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN" it would have been that much cooler. Tie it into a Bugle headline in the movie if you really want to correlate it.

Thats what I was/still am hoping for too. Using some of the 15 different names from the different/relaunched comics would be a great idea.

If they name 3 SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN, I'd be overjoyed. That's just an awesome string of words.

Andrew please don't tell me your gonna give that film your money. I was watching VH1 the other day for the most outrageous moments on tv or something and as I was watching it someone who was rejected for the role of Catwoman in Batman returns (I can't remember her name right now.), came walking onto a talkshow wearing the outfit saying something in the old catwoman voice with the hisses and whatnot. It was pretty funny seeing how upset she was she actually went out and bought the oldschool TV custome and wore it on a show. Why is it that Catwoman goes stright to the woman's head?

She had to learn how to use a whip!

No she didn't.

Whereas Michelle Pheiffer actually trained to be able to hold her own with a real whip, Halle Berry's scenes that involve the use of her whip are completely computer generated.

Funny, I read in Wizard that she was given a real whip. Maybe it was just a memento? I don't really remember all of that interview now.

Dougray Scott? The guy-who-coulda-been-Wolverine? I can't see it.

Mark F'n Hamill. Except he ain't pretty enough, or (presumably) young enough for the role...

I forgot Richards was part of that group of science nerds with Von Doom, Banner, Stark and Pym...i guess the grey thing is what made me think 40s...

Heroes Reborn continuity. In regular Marvel continuity, Richards was Doom's roommate. I think Banner was at one point a roommate of Walter Langowski aka Sasquatch of Alpha Flight. Someone needs to ask Trabold at 411 about it actually...

Doom wasn't Reed's roommate in the regular Marvel Universe cannon, Ben "The Thing" Grimm was Reed's roommate.

There was a story in Fantastic Four #400 about this where Reed and Doom first met at college. The two contemplait becoming roommates but ultimately decide not to because of the notion that they would end up hating each other's guts if they lived together for a prolong period of time.

A friend told me that Tobey had signed on to do 3 more Spider-man movies, so it could end up being 5.

If and when X3 does big box office, they will probably do more movies. However, I believe Hugh Jackman said he would only do 3 movies as Wolerine, and possible a spin-off, before quitting the character. But then, they could still make movies without Wolverine. Many more chacters to get to.

The only choice worse than Halle Berry would be Christina Milian. Her acting was so bad in Torque that most of her scenes were cut. When your scenes are cut from a movie like "Torque", I have no hope for your skill.

Plus, she's 5'2....Storm was a lot damn taller than 5'2. Plus it's a drop of half a foot from the Berry version of Storm.

I'd go with Nona M. Gaye aka Zee from Matrix Reloaded. The woman is 5'10, she has the build from what I saw in MATRIX and she seems like a younger Angela Basset. She has better acting skill than Milian, that's for damn sure.
