Trivia Contest: Who have I worked?

July 10, 2004

I've been getting hit with a ton of Q and A questions about who I've worked. Instead of having a ton of "Yes I've worked him, no I haven't worked him" answers I decided to make it fun and do a trivia contest. I've looked back over my career and realised that I've worked with a lot of great, and some unusual people. Below I'm going to list some people, some of which I have worked and others I haven't. I'm not going to say how many I haven't but they will be in the minority. It is your job to pick out how many on the list I have NOT worked, and list them. I will be giving away signed photos to either some or all of the winners, depending on how many of you there are. By "working with" I mean either facing in a match or tagging with. Run-ins and confrontations don't count. We have to have been involved in an actual match. Working someone under a different name or Gimmick also counts.

The List:

Hulk Hogan

Kevin Nash

Ric Flair

HHH

Lex Luger

Buff Bagwell

Sting

Terry Funk

Undertaker

When you send in your responses please put Trivia Contest as the subject line so I can find them easily, and if anyone complains about my atrocious spelling, you will not be receiving a photo regardless of how right you may be! Let's see who the most knowledgeable Storm Mark is.

I'm fairly certain he worked with Taz, Bam Bam, and the Sandman but I ain't sure. I ain't down with the Puro so I don't know who he's worked with in Japan unless he's mentioned them specifically, but I think he may have worked with The Great Sasuke.

Edited to reflect the names people have thrown out.

I'm pretty sure he's worked with Onita before since he mentioned something about it in an old commentary.

I'm trying to think if hes worked with D'Lo, Hennig, Batista, or Ricky Chosu. Otherwise my list is almost narrowed down.

Hennig and Lance were on the same side in a six-man tag during the Heat prior to WrestleMania X8.

Dammit! Too late, I already sent it and put Hennig as one that he hasn't faced. Oh well.

Storm versus Gregory Peck* was my match of the year for 1982.

*Is there really a wrestler named Gregory Peck?

Yeah, he jobbed on a few Coliseum videos a while back.

Last I heard he bought the rights to The Dark Patriot. Tom Brandi bought the rights to The Original Patriot from Del Wilkes, and they've been feuding on the indy circuit.

Actually, he starred in "To Kill a Mockingbird" in possibly the greatest movie performance of all time (or so I hear). Search him up on IMDB.com.

He's never worked with Benoit. They did some thing after a match on a house show one time but they never actually wrestled with or against each other.

He's definitely not worked Gregory Peck or Gene Kiniski, so you can take them out.

I'm pretty sure he's tagged with Dawn Marie before, but he's never fought Jazz.

Oh, and he's worked Undertaker in a 5 vs. 5 in 2002 that saw Test finish off 'Taker with the big boot.

He worked Tyson (then "Travis") Tomko and his special needs brother Kevin Fertig on Jan. 10 with Val Venis.

Lance Storm beat Nick Dinsmore on Feb. 20, 21 and Feb. 22.

Actually, Storm and Dawn Marie beat Nova and Jazz at a houseshow I went to once.

In Storm's latest commentary, he said he and Christian worked a house show match in 2002 against Ric Flair & The Undertaker, so that's that.

Storm and Dawn teamed in ECW at Cyberslam 2000 against Jazz and Nova. Storm took the "botched" kryptonite krunch, (crunch is better with a k) that enabled Justin Credible to throw down the tag titles and beat Tommy Dreamer for the world title, thanks to help from the turning francine. Sadly I know all of this and the resulting storyline off hand.

He faced Flair at Armageddon 2003 (He teamed with Venis in the Tag Team Turmoil match)

He teamed with Dawn Marie at Cyberslam 2000. Their opponents were Nova and Jazz

He faced Liger in a Tag Team match.

He faced Hiroyoshi Tenzan several times in CWA.

He lost to Taz at Heat Wave 1997.

Bigelow at Hostile City Showdown 1998

He faced "a" Tiger Mask at WAR Sumo Hall in December 1996, but I doubt it was Sayama.

So there's the updated list. Lance has said there's only 9 people he hasn't faced, and the list has 20+ left.

Royal Rumbles don't count, so I'm assuming battle royals don't either, which means we don't know for sure if he's fought Nash.

From all the house show reports I've read, too, there's not one instance of him ever facing Batista or D-Lo.
