JN News Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 Damn, second week in a row for a cheap as hell DQ. Last week Kane is DQ'ed for a low blow (who get's DQ'ed for THAT anymore), now this. Batista's mission was obviously to soften up Benoit for next week.

Batista just punks him out afterwards, since Beniot is out of it in storyline terms. Plus it makes Batista look like a beast. Nicely done.

You can't really compare two different moves. If you were to say those were better chokes then Orton could do. Or Batista does better armbars and headlocks then Orton...it'd make more sense. But we don't know whether or not Batista can do better headlocks or armbars do we?

Downhome Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 I'd like to see an angle where Batista just starts killing people, over and over again, and HHH sees this new streak in him and starts to try and use him more and more, like he did with Eugene. But the entire time Batista knows what is going on, and is in terms just using HHH for the exposure to showcase how great he can be, and in the end they BUTT heads over the issue, leading to a breakoff of Batista from Evolution, finally going out as a straight up singles star, and a huge face.

I figure they're going to go with Orton/Edge for the Main Event. This week, they're probably going to go with Kane getting disqualified for poking Jericho in the eye. That's not exactly the best way to close out the show....

At least Taker's not bashing Hart and Foley in the press or on TV. I mean, at least he has the courtesy to bury them behing the scenes... If anything, bashing Foley and Hart is probably a work. And HHH is winning the title next week. He needs to bury someone else at Summerslam, because he can't really do it to Benoit now. What better way to get all the heat back by winning in front of the most amount of people.
