The Last Boyscout

Recommended Posts

I think this is the most underrated action move of the 90's. I find it superior to Die Hard 2 and 3, and better than 3 of the Lethal Weapon movies.

The dialogue is wrapped with such an amount of sarcasm and wit, IMO it's the most quotable movie outside of Pulp Fiction.

This is Bruce Willis's best character, and certainly Damon Wayans was looking like he could have a great career after this, although Bulletproof was also damn funny.

They just don't make R rated action movies like this anymore.

...and then some.

The Last Boy Scout - Willis at his sarcastic best. Loved his exchanges with Wayans. Enjoyable, fun movie. :)

...my fav scene is the one where at gunpoint, Willis jokes about fucking the gunman's wife. Or something like that.

It's real cool. People who've seen it tend to like it in my experience, it could use a wider audience, however.

I didn't care much for the Lethal Weapons, mostly cause I'm not much of a fan of the leads.

It's a pretty tremendous buddy action film that riffs off the conventions of the genre whilst posting some really random and off-the wall sight gags (I'm going to dance a jig being the best). Willis is awesome as the unshakeable lead man, and Wayans rules as the funny sidekick. Oh and Billy Blanks is awesome as the homicidal football player.

this movie is why tony scott is my favorite hack. fun as hell to watch, hilarious, never gets old. willis & wayans's deadpan delivery just MAKES it (lines like "i think i fucked a squirrel to death" don't work unless you play it off like it's the most natural thing in the world and you're barely even thinking about it).

One of Shane Black's underrated films. Along with this one and Long Kiss Goodnight.

The action genre lost an awesome writer when he burned out and retired for a little bit.

Course now he's back with "Kiss, kiss, bang, bang". Which I'm actually looking forward too as well.

Last Boy Scout is one of those ultra bleak early 90s actioners that could only come out of that time period. Can anyone see this movie being made now?

And yes, it is a very underrated Willis vehicle. From his bizarre enjoyment of Pat Boone music to the whole Satan Claus thing, the movie has all sorts of weird quirks.

Long Kiss Goodnight was also underrated, that was a hell of a movie.

The firstime I saw last boyscout, I always thought Halle Berrys death scene was over the top. Now when I watch it I laugh my ass off because it's Halle Berry getting blown away by a machine gun.

"$650 for a pair of pants?"

"Yep"

"They're pants?"

"Yep"

"You wear em?"

"Yes"

"They don't have a TV in em or anything like that?"

"Nope"

"I am very old........"

'Ain't life a bitch?' *blows his brains out*

One of the best movie openings ever.

One of my favourite action movies of all time. The dialogue and sight gags are just awesome. When Wayans drew the picture of a bomb during the car chase I nearly lost it.

'Give me your car or I'll kill the girl'

- 'Daddy!'

'Shhhhh....'

The whole movie gets a nine on my ten finger scale ;)

Boyscout(ass the special edition should be called) is one bad as flick..I watch it from time to time and think it is one of the best...it could've easily been Die Hard 4 even though Die Harder came out after..buit none the less a great flick...I love showing it to people who've never seen it.
