This current Republican ad campaign and its defense by conservative peoples may well be the most distinct example of current ignorance in America. Absolutely embarrassing.

One can only hope that enough Americans can tell the vast difference between a man who chose to serve for his country and a man who plays dress-up and cuts VA benefits.

The Republican Party - Patriots who cut the benefits for soldiers and claim that our military leaders toss out medals like toys...speak out not against these people, for doing so is treasonous and un-democratic.

It's no more Republican than moveon.org's ads are Democratic. But, hey, if feigning anger at an exceptionally mild attack (especially considered the shit Bush has received) makes you feel better, have a blast.

Do you think vets like the guy who shops for medals to get out of battle? Vets happen to support Bush more than Kerry --- by an increasing margin, to boot.

The Democrats --- we hate the military, until it benefits us to claim to love it.

I have a question, where all these ads running, moveon.org and/or swift boat vets....

I really haven't seen much of EITHER, except when a politcial talk show host plays them on their show to rant on them.

Does anyone else think that these political talk shows kind of give all these ads more exposure then the running of them in the first place?

Also I still don't get the connection between a television ad and someone's vote. Unless more people are just THAT stupid.

Are you lifting rhetoric from the 1960s Republican platform?

The Democrats have the veteran candidate...Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld etc opted not to participate in such things...

The military: Cheerleading = patriotism, Service = bad.

That's the beauty of it all -- the actual ads weren't played in that many markets, but Kerry got his undies that he wore while being a VIETNAM WAR HERO in a twist that the publicity is making this into a mainstream issue...
