Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 Very good theory, Brian. But even Sawyer said that Cindy was abducted less then a mile from Jack and Co.'s camp which means that even though they may fear the SS it doesn't mean The Others won't venture outside of their territory. Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 that depends on where the 815 survivors' camp is in relation to where the SS's territory ends and the Others' territory begins

nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 Right now it's like we know everything on the island, aside from a few things, we just don't know how it all comes together. What I'm really interested in is how the Others know all about the survivors. Names, what they've been doing, apparently what kind of person they are. It seems like something beyond general surveillance. While I'm sure it's something more exciting than what I'm about to say, for all we know Walt gave the Others their information. He has been their captive for at least a few days, enough time for a kid to talk about things that he shouldn't be talking about, even unwittingly. The fact that they called him "Mr Locke" (which is what Walt called him) might be a clue of Walt being the source of their info.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 A neat bit from the last episode that nobody mentioned was Locke turning the nickname schtick back on Sawyer. Sawyer uses the nicknames to assert a small form of control over other people, but Locke turned it back on him to regain the upper hand. It clearly rattled Sawyer, and now Locke knows that Sawyer is hiding something about his past.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 Yeah, plus Locke had probably seen the manifest a while back. Why did he decide to call Sawyer his real name now?
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 could somebody explain the whole 'bearded guy quotes alvar hanso' thing? I've seen it referred to here and other places. What lines did he quote?
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 The line about how since the dawn of time men have been blessed with curiousity was from Hanso. Â "I don't need to tell you the other line about curiousity, do I Jack?"
Mole 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 Yeah, plus Locke had probably seen the manifest a while back. Why did he decide to call Sawyer his real name now? Because Locke is weird?
Gert T 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 I always love the teasers for the next episode. To me the question is, did the hand in the dark take Aaron's crib to throw him in the ocean, or was that the person that recovered it? Â Also I loved how Locke called Sawyer "James" when they got back to the beach.
Ravenbomb 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 I think the crib in the ocean is gonna end up being a dream sequence
Mik 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2006 I'll go as far as to nearly guarantee it. Â The digital cable preview mentions Charley's "far too vivid" dreams.
Spicy McHaggis 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2006 I thought this was another great ep...  I'm with those people that think there are two sets of others. The groups may be similar to the survivors in that one group has had it much tougher than the other. Mr. Friendly's group could mirror the Tailies and Ethan's group could mirror the Midplane. Ethan's clothes were much nicer than these others, and he actually had shoes... that's a big distinction.  Jack's "build an army" comment had me pumped as well. I can't wait for the confrontation. The "Mr. Locke" being a clue that Walt gave the others their information is a great call by whoever made that, I didn't pick up on that when I saw the show.  The Sun/Jin plot was pretty neat also... Jin's epiphany at the end was great. The Charlie and Hurley stuff was cool... I think having Charlie be involved with the comic relief stuff is a way for the writing to disarm us from Charlie's true intentions. During the preview for next week, Hurley's “have we met before?" came across as a cheesy pickup line, especially with Libby's reaction.  I thought the Jack flashback was awesome. The failed surgery immediately put to bed any thoughts that Jack was some sort of magical miracle worker. It was interesting to see the high standard he set for his own fidelity in the marriage, and then he got totally screwed over. That's definitely affecting his relationship with Kate. I think Jack will pursue Ana Lucia for a while. She's got that fun, attractive quality whereas Kate is who Jack really loves but he's afraid of getting hurt. Guest Evolution Report post Posted January 21, 2006 So did Zeke confirm or deny that Ethan was a spy sent by the Others?
Guest OKCoyote Report post Posted January 21, 2006 Neither. He just said "That's an interesting theory." Â I really think Zeke didn't know about Ethan, he looked a little surprised to hear about him.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2006 but, Zeke told "John" to build a fire I haven't watched it since seeing it live, so is there any chance that Zeke heard Jack call Locke "John" right then and there?
Gert T 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2006 Ah yes, the crazy dream sequence, I hadn't thought about that one. And we haven't had one of those for awhile...... Â I think Zeke does know about Ethan, just did not want to tip his hand to Jack.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2006 Ethan, for all we know, could be something of a 'rogue agent' to the Others. To this point they (Others) haven't killed anybody, only kidnapped. Except for Ethan, who was willing to kill to get what he wanted. Maybe he's not working for the same people that Mr. Friendly is? Dandy 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2006 I went back and watched the last episode again. When the shots are fired, it sounds to me like 3 rifle shots (Michael) followed by 4 shots from a handgun (don't know who). I do not have my season 1 set at the moment, so can anyone tell me if Desmond left with a handgun? Danielle always cared a rifle.

Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted January 25, 2006 Ah man, I was going to write about the LOST dream I had last night but now it's too late as I've forgotten a lot of it. Â The best thing about it is that's a recurring dream and it's actually been picking up where the last ones left off. It ended last night with me, Sgt Slaughter and two boats on the water before I woke up. To be continued I guess. I can't wait for the next episode whenever it comes. Â Â Last week's episode was great. I seriously didn't but the Sun/Jun bit though. It was out of charactor for both of them and it just seemed so fake. Hated it too. Â Oh yeah, and Locke had to have known everyone was surrounded beforehand. There's no way he couldn't have known.

Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted January 25, 2006 Your OFFICIAL abc.com preview for tonight's episode......  "Fire + Water" When Charlie's vividly surreal dreams lead him to believe Claire's baby, Aaron, is in danger, Locke suspects Charlie may be using again. Meanwhile, Sawyer encourages Hurley to act on his attraction to Libby   I'm guessin' that Sawyer tries to be a dickhead and egg Hurley on, thinking that he'll get rejected and is shocked when Hurley gets......accepted? Laid? I dunno, either way it should be fun.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted January 25, 2006 Yeah it doesn't seem like it'll be all that exciting, but it should prove interesting. I know a lot of people who aren't fond of Charlie's character, but I like his story with Claire.
