Georgetown College has produced 3 major league players, the most recent of which played one season in 1963. I'm not that surprised, since it is an NAIA school.

Siena College, Loudonville, New York. I can't believe there have been 3 major league players that went to Siena! We're a basketball school. (and we have never had an NBA player)

Wow. My school is a Division III baseball university, but we've got 10 players, most of them from the 40's and 50's:

Bill Beckmann

Warren Gill

Bill Jennings

Kurt Krieger

Dal Maxvill (Gold Glove SS in 1968)

Paul Meloan

Lloyd Merritt

Hank Schmulbach

Doc Shanley

John Stoneham

Not a single player from my school, but the schools in Oregon have produced Scott Brosius and Tom Lampkin, to mention the notables. The hometown deal is a different story, though:

Danny Ainge

Scott Brosius

Alan Embree

Dave Kingman

Dale Murphy

HAROLD REYNOLDS~

Aaron Rowand

Richie Sexson

As for Hawaii, my home state, we've produced:

Benny Agbayani

Ron Darling

Sid Fernandez

Charlie Hough

Justin Wayne

Jerome Williams

I go to a community college so no go for me. Even then, there's only been one guy to come out of the University in town and I've never heard of him.

Matter of fact, the only people to even come out of Michigan that I've actually heard of are Paul Assenmacher, Kevin Tapani, Curt Young (who went to my high school), Dave Campbell and John Vander Wal. The only notables are Kirk Gibson, Mark Mulder, Steve Garvey and Barry Larkin.

The only real notables that my college has produced would be Jim Sundberg and Mike Boddicker, but the schools in my current home state have produced people like Hall of Famer Red Faber.

What players have come from your university? I was stunned to discover my local institution, East Stroudsburg University, has actually claimed three major leaguers.

Joel Bennett

Mike O'Neill

Harry Schaeffer

I start my freshman year there next week. :headbang:

Have those players reached the majors?

And if you do know specific players from Delaware Tech who have reached the majors, ship them an e-mail. It's a work in progress, and they will welcome additions/corrections to their data.

I'll have to track down the exact list. I know a few made it but didn't stay up do to roster size and lack of playing time.

Mostly the Phillies, Mets and SD draft the players out of DT.

I know it was over 9 players though, but it's going to take me a little research.

SUNY Stony Brook has only produced one major leaguer: Joe Nathan.

Here it is.

What part of New York is Stony Brook? I'm fairly certain my local paper at the time made a big deal out of Joh Nathans debut because he was somewhat of a hometown guy.

32 for U. of S. Carolina --- odd, cause we were pretty damned bad until the past 4 or 5 years (when we tended to kick all kinds of ass).

Adam Everett (SS Astros) is probably our best player in the majors right now.

Along with the usual collection of misfits and losers, Albert Belle, Kurt Ainsworth and Curtis Leskanic.

What part of New York is Stony Brook?

Long Island. Stony Brook is about 50-ish miles east of New York City.

Ah yes..........I also forgot D-Backs prospect Craig Ansman graduated from Stony Brook.

And about 40 mins away from my school, Southampton College, which doesn't even have a baseball team.

Yeah, we suck.
