Annabelle 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2006 i've yet to decide on whether i like swan lake. the original listen yielded the exact same thoughts of vivalaultra. but upon repeated listens, i'm more bored than anything. thats the way both destroyer & frog eyes albums are for me. i am mesmerized by them at first, but never feel interested to indulge again. wolf parade, or even sunset rubdown, are completely different stories. i love those fuckers equally. Hey Gar, how does that Cabaret Voltaire album compare to Red Mecca and The Crackdown? I have those two and like Red Mecca a bit.

vivalaultra 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 I like the new Modest Mouse song. They're less weird now, give or take. Right now, I'm listening to...the new My Chemical Romance CD, and...dammit!...it's not half-bad. In fact, it's...pretty good. I'm so confused.
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2007 Hey Gar, how does that Cabaret Voltaire album compare to Red Mecca and The Crackdown? I have those two and like Red Mecca a bit. "Sex Money Freaks" is actually a song off the album Code. That album tends to get mixed reactions (it's more accessible and slightly more commercial sounding than previous albums) but I like it. I dig Red Mecca, though Crackdown is my favorite album of theirs. If you like Mecca, you might like 2x45, which is awesome.
Guest "Go, Mordecai!" Report post Posted January 2, 2007 If we're going to momentarily make this thread be about Cabaret Voltaire, I like "Split Second Feeling" and "Why Kill Time When You Can Kill Yourself" a lot. And hey, The Crackdown is better than I remember it being.
