CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 The only thing better than a Scaffold Match is a Scaffold Match involving Playboy cover girl Torrie Wilson and former WWE Women's Champion Madusa (then known as Alundra Blayze). The only thing better? Anyways, nice little array of matches there. It does seem weird that all the matches took place around the same time period for the Smackdown Greatest Matches. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 Yeah, I just kinda posted these without reading all the little blurbs... like, what the hell? I'm pretty sure EVERYTHING is better than a scaffold match, and I would think Torrie Wilson would actually make a scaffold match worse. "By September 2000, Kevin Nash was successfully putting prestige back into the WCW Championship. At Fall Brawl, however, he was up against his greatest challenge - a Steel Cage Match against former WCW Champion Booker T. " God bless the person WWE hires to write this, because they things sound 100x better / interesting than they should be.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 That Booker T Vs. Nash match you're bashing... Better than Brock/Hardcore Holly. Better than JBL/Taker. Better than HHH/Orton, most likely. Granted Eddie and Benoit were able to carry a lot of the main events this year against stiffs (Trips, Kane, JBL twice), but that match is actually underrated, and Nash did the right job. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 I've heard good things about the match, and I wasn't trying to bash the match (although my wording makes it seem like I was). What I was trying to point out was... 1. "Kevin Nash" and "Championship Prestige" are not often seen in a sentence together. 2. Booker T, especially by WWE (the ones advertising this match now) standards, was hardly Nash's toughest challenge to date. That's all I meant. The "making things souond more exciting" comment was in regards to the scaffold match.

Even though they may make the matches seem a lot more important than they really are, they should brush up on editing, or just get their own information straight. The Jukebox matches, in my opinion, leave much to be desired. I mean, there's only one match involving the SmackDown Six period. They should have spread out the time to get the history of the whole show, not just it's entity of a separate brand. On the other hand, the WebCast extras don't look too bad, with the exception of the two WCW tag matches. I was hoping that WWE would take advantage of their SMW, AWA, and older WCW footage this time in the Jukebox, but hey, there's always next month.

Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 So, did the match go 60 minutes, with only 50 broadcast? Or did the match itself only go 50 minutes? If it went the whole 60, why not offer the entire match here?
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 I wish they would show TV main events in their entirety instead of treating like it was still on TV when they release the footage.

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 Question: At the WWE Summerslam site they had a POLL of like 5 matches, where the winning match would be available FREE OF CHARGE on wwe.com to watch come September. Australian Pride 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 Chris Benoit & Eddie Guerrero vs. The Rock & Edge 8/1/02 | Approx. run time: 15mins. Two future World Champions Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero team up to take on The Rock and Edge in this SmackDown! main event. Who would of thought at the time that both Benoit and Eddie would win World titles before Edge. And that both would, at least presently, be a helluva lot more over than him. And i have to laugh at the fact that Dvon/Batista vs Randy/Farooq is one of the selections for this thing.
BUTT 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 The most ridiculous thing about that write-up about Nash restoring prestige to the WCW title was the fact that he had been the champion for less than 3 weeks before Fall Brawl.
