I think that's another problem with assembling a regular team that resembles an All-Star team. Hard-working or not, most of these teams tend to get a bit lazy, thinking that they've got it all under control.

They just look really bored to me.

Well, I guess it's better to find out that this 180 million dollar MESS has no heart or balls now than in the world series like last year.

Three outs away from having a two and a half race in the AL East on our hands.

The race is over. The Yankees have no heart and they don't care anymore. Two and a half games are a technicality.

The Yankees are 28-19 (.587) since the All-Star break. That's not bad, its 5th in the AL. The problem is the Red Sox are 31-15 (.674) since the break. Most great stretch runs aren't the result of one team collapsing. They're the result of another team putting together an incredible run.

This Red Sox game just became the best one ever, as the hot chick behind homeplate flashed her tit while she was talking on the cell phone during the last at-bat of the game. I'm not usually one to gush over fans, but that was pretty hilarious, as you had to be paying attention to catch it. But damn.

The Yankees record is much better than their play.

Apparently, Kevin Brown broke his left hand punching a wall. The Yankees may very well be dead at this point.

Is it now fair to call this team a disaster?

I blame them for this. Brown pitched a good game. The rest of the team couldn't be bothered to back him up at all.

At least I know I'm not the only one that the Yankees caused to break their hand this week.

Not unless Kevin Brown = Jim Abbot 2004.

What?

Never mind, I get it. Stupid glove.

I think we all knew Brown would get injured eventually, but who knew he'd do it all by himself not during a game.

Only if some utility player on the Red Sox becomes Bucky Dent 2004.

Which I'd like to see, actually.

Dent was (more or less) the starting shortstop that year. I think he got hurt at some point though.

Even so, Dent was probably the least likely guy to beat the Red Sox in that situation, which is where I was going with that. But I honestly think the Red Sox are going to fold at some point anyway.

Texas get shut out for the second day in a row, it's all but over for them now. With both Boston and Oakland racking up wins left and right even if Blalock, Young, Soriano and Teixeira get hot simultaneously i doubt it'll be enough to make up 6-7 games at this point.

Kevin Brown isn't the smartest player in baseball. Ask any Orioles fan as we all had to deal with the idiot trying to bare hand baseballs hit up the middle and constantly breaking his hand.

So hearing he broke his hand isn't shocking, shocking is he hasn't broken it in the last four months.

And God willing, this is what lights a fire under the Yankees asses. 1 and 6 sure didn't. 22-0 didn't. Maybe this fool did.
