The problem is the Red Sox are 31-15 (.674) since the break. Most great stretch runs aren't the result of one team collapsing. They're the result of another team putting together an incredible run. With both Boston and Oakland racking up wins left and right even if Blalock, Young, Soriano and Teixeira get hot simultaneously i doubt it'll be enough to make up 6-7 games at this point. Ask any Orioles fan as we all had to deal with the idiot trying to bare hand baseballs hit up the middle and constantly breaking his hand.
