kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted September 7, 2004 The number beside the team means that team must win by a difference of that score to get a win. Yes. If it's a 3.5 spread, the game must be at least 3 or more for the team to get a win, otherwise the losing team still gets the win. Unless there's a 3.5-point play, the favored team would have to win by at least 4 points. I'm not a gambling expert, but that's what my assumption was. So say Tennesse (2.5) at Miami is the game you are looking at and you've taken Tennesse while your opponent has Miami. For Miami to win, all they need to do is win. However, for Tennesse to win, they must win by more than two points. If not, your opponent still collects the win. Yes. You corrected yourself. And the funny thing is Flik that you and Agent Bond both PM'd me your picks. Also, AoO, that is a good idea -- you going to take my advice on it?...

Well that's quite interesting how we picked almost the exact same except for Green Bay vs. Carolina. Edit: Yeah, I corrected myself, but forgot to fix the original statement on the bets... MrRant 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2004 ^ Lighting ELK~! has returned to his herd. Damn... I just realized Philly needs to win by at least a TD and a FG while St. Louis needs to win by either 2 TDs or a TD and 2 FGs (or 2 TDs and one blocked PAT) to cover the spread. Eek. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2004 Rant, you might not believe this, but I missed that. I will correct you though as I've been around, not much but around. Short story is that I've been bothered by life recently that I can't really control yet fret about because that's who I am, and I'm also currently working on my Phase 1 Project (I finish that and I'm 1/4th of the way through my course) so it's been taking up a lot of my time as well. Such is life though. Oh I'm making the playoffs this year! SO MAKING IT.

God my Saints looked rough. Sad, considering that they have a kick-ass RB, very good WR, and a QB who can be quite good --- when he has his shit together. -=Mike
kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2004 Rant is right, Bitch is wrong. Remember, I'm using point spreads, not the outright winner of each game. The game results can be found on the first post of this thread -- winning team in boldface. The boldface team may not have won the game, but they were able to cover my point spread. Below are instant results: "TBD" means "To Be Determined" for those of you in Rio Linda. In addition, these insta-results don't include the MNF game. I suggest double-checking your team's score and your opponents because I'm just as reliable as a certain cable news channel... Week 1 Matchups: Indianapolis (No Cal Mike) d.
