Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Harris & Skipper d. The Naturals to become the new NWA World Tag Champions after a spear from Harris
Guest Donners Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Yep, could see that coming. A feud between them and Daniels & Storm could be interesting...
LucharesuFan619 Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Interesting indeed. Definitely not something that was expected. An interduo feud (D/St vs. Sk/H) could be pretty cool I guess.
Guest Staravenger Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 I think James Storm has a better look than Chris "I look like a hillbilly" Harris. So the mystery team is just the two tag teams feuding with the Naturals, with one member from each? Some mystery.
Guest Donners Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Hey, it's better than expensive dead weight mystery guests. Apparently Jimmy Snuka was supposed to be Desire's mystery wrestler a few weeks back.
cmpunk04 Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Is Hardy vs Jarrett going yet? Has Hardy done ok so far?
JoeDirt Posted September 9, 2004 Author Report Posted September 9, 2004 So did they announce anything for Victory Road? I know it's two months off, but still...
Magus Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Yep, could see that coming. A feud between them and Daniels & Storm could be interesting... True. A good fued could come out of it. But just how good are the chances that TNA will actually book the fued well? None.
Guest Donners Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Can't believe Keller's upset that the match won't go more than 15 minutes. I'd hate to see Hardy go that long at anything less than his peak.
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Harris > Storm. Explain how. The only reason Harris has had better singles matches in TNA is because Harris has had more singles matches in TNA, and against better opponents. He can't sell past a move, can't time his comebacks properly, has no discernable charisma, and if it weren't for his look, he wouldn't even be in TNA. The same could be said for Storm. At least Harris has had some single experience.
Placebo Effect Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Harris & Skipper d. The Naturals to become the new NWA World Tag Champions after a spear from Harris Fucking fuck.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Can't believe Keller's upset that the match won't go more than 15 minutes. I'd hate to see Hardy go that long at anything less than his peak. I'd hate to see that too, but I can see his point of view. A World Title match really should go at least 20-minutes. Of course, a World Title match also shouldn't have Jeff Hardy in it.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Jarrett d. Hardy after a guitar shot to the back of the head.
slimm44 Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 What a waste of time. Why hype two tag title matches, along with all the hype between Triple X and AMW, to have it end up with Skipper and Harris, a la WWE/F in 1999/2000 with Edge/Christian and the Hardy Boys type style
JoeDirt Posted September 9, 2004 Author Report Posted September 9, 2004 Jarrett d. Hardy after a guitar shot to the back of the head. Well that's exciting.
Guest Donners Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Hey, as long as Hardy doesn't have the belt, everything's okay. Bring on Brown vs. Jarrett at Victory Road and throw Hardy into the X Division.
JoeDirt Posted September 9, 2004 Author Report Posted September 9, 2004 Hey, as long as Hardy doesn't have the belt, everything's okay. Bring on Brown vs. Jarrett at Victory Road and throw Hardy into the X Division. According to the Torch, a Jarrett/Hardy rematch is planned for Victory Road.
The Niggardly King Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Hey, as long as Hardy doesn't have the belt, everything's okay. Bring on Brown vs. Jarrett at Victory Road and throw Hardy into the X Division. According to the Torch, a Jarrett/Hardy rematch is planned for Victory Road. FUCK.....
Guest Donners Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 According to the Observer, it's Brown/Jarrett.
Magus Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 ...and after Hardy jobs to Jarrett again, Monty will challenge at the next two PPVs, so TNA definitely has their heads up their asses if they're trying to go national with THIS. And you must hate the X Division to want Jeff Hardy to be in it. But knowing TNA, they'll put the X Division title on him for about 7 months, and it'll be the only travesty bigger than Jeff Jarrett as Champ For Life.
Guest The Decadent Slacker Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 So was it better or worse than their first show?
Guest Donners Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Well, this didn't have midgets, the Johnsons, the Dupps or a never-ending battle royale, so I'd say it kicked the hell out of the first show by default.
Guest MikeSC Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Can you understand, though, that something like, "I'm glad I stopped ordering this," in every bloody PPV thread can get a little annoying after a while? Personally, I'd be more annoyed at TNA blowing $10 of mine every week. But that's just me. Now you're saying you are, "absolutely giving up on TNA". That does not lend itself to "debate" if you continue posting. Like me, if something interesting happens, I'll watch. If not, I have enough of an idea of what constitutes "good" to the TNA marks and downgrade my expectations. It lends itself to constant bashing, which is a very one-sided conversation unless suckers like myself try to respond. Except the "bashing" is due to the direction of the company and not the actual quality of the matches. Hell, Corey simply commented on how idiotic TNA was to botch Kash v Styles, how idiotic it was to stick the weakest member of both AMW and XXX into a tag team. Now, if you have truly absolutely given up on the company, then any posts you make about its current state seem really pointless. As pointless as the blinded marks who seem to never feel TNA can err? Number one you've already got a negative bias. And seeing as how I've dealt with Corey for a while, this was a slow-burning thing. Now, I've been negative for a while. Corey simply saw the same crap I saw them doing and, slowly, got more and more disillusioned. Number two, you have no real reason to care about it. If you don't care about the company, what possible reason is there to take notice of what you have to say about it? Because he tends to know what he's talking about, for starters. So go and talk about them. I'm happy with TNA, and find little interest in other promotions. Then what makes your incessantly positive comments any more useful than Corey (or my) "overly negative" comments? That's why I don't go to their forums and bitch about them, and that's why I talk about TNA here. And that's completely within your rights to do. -=Mike
Corey_Lazarus Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 First show also had LowKi/AJ Styles/Jerry Lynn vs. Sonny Siaki/Jimmy Yang/Jorge Estrada, which seems better than any match for the past three weeks of TNA.
Guest MikeSC Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 First show also had LowKi/AJ Styles/Jerry Lynn vs. Sonny Siaki/Jimmy Yang/Jorge Estrada, which seems better than any match for the past three weeks of TNA. I half expect that the battle royal ME was better than JJ v Hardy. Call it a hunch. -=Mike ...And the battle royal, mind you, sucked.
Guest Staravenger Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Oh come on. With such main event talent as Buff Bagwell, Norman Smiley, Lash Leroux, Phantasio dressed as Rick Steiner, Apollo, and Bruce of the (new) Rainbow Express, how can ANY match suck? And incase someone couldn't tell, I was being sarcastic.
Corey_Lazarus Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Hey...Norman Smiley, Lash LeRoux, and Alan Funk (Bruce, KweeWee, The Funkster) rule!
Magus Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 The show had a lot of positives IMO, but also some glaring negatives which point out just how out-of-touch TNA's direction truly is.
Guest whitemilesdavis Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 The only thing I'll say about this (I didn't order) is this: If one more Main Event ends with a guitar shot, I'm done forever with TNA. I've given them 100 chances, but I do not want to see Jeff Jarrett hit someone with a guitar. One more chance and that's it. And I mean I will never ever never watch again, regardless of what they do. Just one more guitar shot and I'm out. You may continue with your discussion.
Guest Staravenger Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Hey...Norman Smiley, Lash LeRoux, and Alan Funk (Bruce, KweeWee, The Funkster) rule! I know, but when the match has THREE MAIN EVENTERS (thats pushing it) in Scott Hall, Ken Shamrock, and Jeff Jarrett for the World Title, it's bound to suck, especially since Jarrett treated both Smiley & LeRoux like complete jobbers. Other problems. Weak eliminations. Brian Christopher dumping out 5 people in a span of 3 seconds!? TOBY KEITH DID A RUN IN. Ken Shamrocks new sideburns made me temporarily blind.
