Hurricane Uncle Ivan

Recommended Posts

Guest Agent of Oblivion

I hope it heads my way. At that angle where it dies in Kentucky, it ups my chances of a fun tornado season.

I'll be riding out Uncle Ivan's wrath in Baton Rouge with my friends Jack Daniels and Jim Bean.

I'm well stocked with liquor so I won't be running out during a break in the storm to get beer unlike OTHER people in my area. (Beer is the first thing most people go for after a hurricane around here)

Hey Max, there's another one developing off Puerto Rico.

*DING**DING* Round 4

Every single one of these hurricanes has missed the Miami area completely. I'm disappointed. I want destruction. :(

They're saying that preliminary stuff has it going up the Atlantic Coast.

I'm all for destruction, but the hysteria that is born because of people panicking makes me want to move into the middle of fucking nowhere to get away from them all.

It's raining softly here in SC so far. We here at school were kind of hoping it'd come after us because . . . well, because everyone being in the basement with a storm raging outside would be pretty fun.

*Looks at the normal temperate weather of Washington.*

*Realizes that Washington is supposedly due for a big time earthquake that everybody keeps warning about*

It's been nothing but warm breezes and sunshine around Chicago...come up here

Don't need to. It's been exactly the same down here in Miami, but the news and Weather Channel would have you thinking otherwise.

*Enjoys sunny, mid-70s weather*

*Realizes winter is around the corner*

*will continue to enjoy sunny, mid-70s weather all winter long* :D

It's going to come through here (Alabama). It hasn't started raining yet, though. Some people are panicking and are already leaving Mobile (I live in Hoover myself).

At school I gotta make long walks to classes from one end of campus to the other, on real bad days, it may be like a -10 wind chill, but it feels a hell of a lot worse.

Not as bad as the black ice that seems to be all over the roads at that time too.

Yeah, it's crazy how this one was heading RIGHT FOR US! last week and now we'll barely get any wind or rain.

Another Floridian? Where are you from Supes?

Do you have shoes or do you walk barefoot? Uphill both ways?

Well, here in Dallas we just got done with a nice rainy Tuesday..I enjoy the rain.

With all of these Hurricanes going down, we've been tempted to invite our family from Florida up to our house they won't get killed or anything. It's crazy how busy it's been this year.

Here in Auburn evil commie Ivan didn't do too much. Power was out for a while, but nothing has been destroyed. Such is the power of college football, it would seem.

Although with the amount of panicking around here, one would think Camille was coming back, the dolts. I used to live in Petal, MS, which was about an hour from the coast, and Petal/Hattiesburg was the site people in Biloxi would evacuate to when a hurricane came through. Auburn is like 4 hours from the coast, and people that have lived here all of their lives were wigging out.

In the South-East of whatever the state on the coast above Florida is??

Actually in the state above that one (the one above is Georgia, and above Georgia following the coast is South, followed by obviously North Carolina).

The center of that path seems to be comin right for ya Kotz, and they've been pretty accurate with the exception of the gross miscalculation they made with Ivan and Florida about a week or so ago (where they said it would come RIGHT up the peninsula, which would have made it quite fun, but then veered westward into the Gulf and completely missed us).

And yet another Hurricane completely misses Miami. I want some of this action.
