algrim 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 For some reason, I always preferred the 1996 S.S., mostly because it featured the return of Bret. He had an awesome match w/Stone Cold that helped put him on the map. I know somw are missing, but they wouldn't let me put all of them.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 I'm stuck between 91 and 95. 93 and 94 were good shows I thought looking back after watching the tapes.
deancoles 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 I voted 87 because I really enjoyed the 10 tag team match and the women's match. Edit: 88 deserves a spot on here, the opening match was awesome and had a surprise team get to the end.

Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted September 18, 2004 Survivor Series, for the most part, are like King of the Ring. You might get a good match here and there, but for the most part, it blows. So, markout only,
eiker_ir 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 2002 was pretty good IMO: - Decent Elimination Chamber - Good Cruiserweight championship - Great Triple Threat for the Tag titles - Fun Tables Match and Brock F5'ing Big Show was pretty cool the first time
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2004 I took 1987 and since I plan on going to the Survivor Series this year, I'm praying that Vince brings back the "Where it all Begins . . . Again" shtick and puts on 5 or so 8 or 10 Man Survivor Series tag team matches. Plus, Survivor Series originated in the Cleveland area and will be returning there in November. Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 18, 2004 Edit: 88 deserves a spot on here, the opening match was awesome and had a surprise team get to the end. The 10 Tag Team Match was the second match on the card. The teams captained by Warrior and HonkyTonk Man was the opener. 1987 gets my vote. I already mentioned it in a thread this week, but I'll just say I enjoyed every match on the card. Edit: Why are 1998 & 2000 on the list? 1998 was horrible with rushed matches (cough:WM 4:cough), and 2000 was just horrible up and down the card.
Aero 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2004 1996 for me. I basically love the entire card, except the last tag match with Yokozuna, Fake Razor & Diesel, and everyone else. Yes, I even like the tag match with Rock, HHH, etc. Second probably goes to either 1995 or 2002. I've never seen any of the 80's shows, though.

Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 19, 2004 I still don't understand why the SWAPPED the opener with the 10 tag team match...and clipped one match from 30 minutes to 10, and another from 20 to 8.
PsychoDriver 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 Probably the 1990 event. No It's not the greatest show workrate wise and yes it did feature the worst payoff to a surprise ever. But I still find it highly enjoyable overall (The Ultimate survivor thing was a great idea) and I would call it my favorite SSeries for nostalgic purposes alone. Papacita 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 95 for me. The majority of the matches were good from what I remember, but the Wild Card match and Bret/Diesel are a couple of standout moments from my days as a mark. After that, probably 02. I didn't really like it at the time due to some of the booking decisions and all, but it really was a solid show, and is really the only good Survivor Series I can remember since 95 (I've never seen 96). Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 21, 2004 it did feature the worst payoff to a surprise ever. Undertaker wasn't that bad. I would've made the joke earlier, but I think everyone knows about the Gobbledy Gooker. Undertakers debut though cancels out the suckitude of the Gooker. Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted September 21, 2004 I think the 95 one is very underrated as a whole, come to think of it. It was, by far, WWF's best card in 95.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 I always loved the 1990 version, many because I liked the Ultimate Survivor concept, and which they had continued to do it. Ah well.
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 I actually haven't seen many Survivor Series events. I didn't like 1999 or 2000 much, but 2001 was surprisingly awesome. 2002 and 2003 were both pretty good too, but every match on the 2001 clicked, even the ones that really shouldn't have. strummer 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2004 1996 Bret/Austin Shawn/Sid The little match between Furnas/Laffon and Owen/Davey in the opener Mankind/Taker was solid Only slow spots were HHH/Crush/Lawler/Goldust v Mero/Rock/Windham/Jake Roberts and Yoko/Savio/Flash Funk/Snuka v Vader/Farooq/Fake Diesel/Fake Razor( which just had an awful finish, the worst finish in SS history, the "everyone counted out or DQ'd finish")
Guest Ray Report post Posted September 23, 2004 1996 has Bret vs Austin, which I think is a top five WWF match of the 90's.
Si82 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2004 I went for the '92 version. A good card that was different to previous Survivor Series featuring Nailz vs. Big Bossman in a decent nightstick match, the return of Mr. Perfect teaming with Macho Man Randy Savage to face Ric Flair and Razor Ramon in a good match and Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels in a great match. Guest curry_man2002 Report post Posted September 23, 2004 gots to be 2002 man cus so many storyline developments took place Paul heyman turning on lesnar, D von and buh buh ray reuniting, new champs and scott steiner debuting which i thought was the best part of the night. Also nearly every ppv that takes place in msg has a certain magical feeling to it (wm xx,ss 1998,rr 2000 etc).
