Scroby 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 I'm wondering why people think Douglas shouldn't be talked about on this dvd? He was one of the bigger names that helped make ECW what it started out to be with the throwing down of the NWA title for ECW. I don't get why he shouldn't be talked about. Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 I think Jamal and Rosey were the Gangsta Party, yes Actually it was Samu and Rosey I believe. I forget their exact names during the era, but I think Rosey was "Night Train". Samu might have been "Sammy Slick" or something similar.

'Sammy Slick' rings a bell and Samu makes sense, so it was likely them.

Here they are Steven Richards Apologizes for Leaving ECW Tazz Seeks Paul Heyman's Blessing Paul Heyman: Travel Agent Dont really remember these....what the hell is Paul Heyman: Travel Agent all about? If I remember, ECW guys seemed to bitch about all the craziness that would happen when Paul himself took over their travel arrangements for them.
Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted September 20, 2004 The Stevie thing sounds like a heel promo he could have done when he came back from his WCW run and turned into "Superstar" Stevie Richards. He had helped the "WWF team" (RVD, Sabu, Furnas, Lafon) attack Tommy Dreamer at November To Remember '97.

Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 The downfall of ECW started when Justin Credible was in the main event. If that is when you consider the downfall starting, then I'd say it's coincidental. Credible wasn't a superb main eventer, but with the ECW roster at the time, the only new people to the main event that the fans would buy - that were in ECW full-time and not just imports here and there - would have been Rob Van Dam and Justin Credible. Van Dam was already in the main event, as his matches were pushed over the World title matches (though not the last show on the card), but him being in a bout for the World title would have just been a formality. Guest W_Hillard Report post Posted September 21, 2004 While we're talking about ECW and Shane Douglas, I have a question. I know that for a long time he used the Belly to Belly Suplex as his finisher. Then he started using something he called the Pitsburgh Plunge. I don't remember what this move was, though. Was it a Fisherman's Suplex?
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2004 I think it was more like a Fisherman Brainbuster that he used in WCW.
