Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Got this adorable little yellow barn kitty for free the other day. I'm torn between names. He's either going to be Benny the Tooth, or General Winfield Scott. I'm also open to suggestion if anyone's got something better.
The Mandarin Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Catman Scrothers or Cosmo Jones. Otherwise, I say you go with the General.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 How about "poor fella"? If you're going to name a pet, they will better recognize their name if it's two syllables in lenght...
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 It's male. I don't know where kkk gets this poor fella business. I don't mind cats. They're not my favorite animals or anything, but a cat makes a nice pet. They're self-sufficient, shit in a specified area, keep mice away, and do cute shit when they're little.
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Agreed. Multiple animals of any variety are insufferable. Especially dogs, because they're all so fucking high maintenance, starved for attention, and codependent. Name it Patton. After the General and Mike.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Considered it. Winfield Scott's cooler.
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 I think I'm partial to 'Benny the Tooth'. Though remember the long name will become tiresome to say, so whatever you choose will become nicknamed to either Winfield or Benny. It happened with my cat (full name Cleopatra, shortened it to Cleo)
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 It's male. I don't know where kkk gets this poor fella business. From all those anti-kitty remarks you've (I hope) jokingly made in the past...
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 That name might work until the little fella gets fixed...
The Czech Republic Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 My cat, Carly, also goes by "Peutz-Peutz." It rhyme with "toots," like "hey, toots, rustle me up a martini." But with a P. I suggest that, and Cornelius.
Guest MikeSC Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 What's Korean for "lunch"? -=Mike
Corey_Lazarus Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 My old cat's name was Cinnamon Jack. He went by the name of CJ. My current cat's name is Chowder. He answers to Chowder, Chowdah (as in parodying the Cape Cod accent), Showdair (French accent), Fagboy, Fatty, and ChaChow. And Agent, I suggest going with Winfield.
Guest MikeSC Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 I call one of mine Lucky --- because she was about to be hanged (yes, seriously) by her owner and I said I'd take the stupid thing. Usually, though, I really suck with names. -=Mike
Guest Horse hockey! Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 My brother wanted to name our cat Leo, but upon realising it was a girl, we went with Cleo. Now we also have Dave, Daveena (Dee) < ---- sisters, Kitty Kitty, Diva, and Too Cute (TC). As far as your cat's name, I'd go with General, because you know he's going to have you by the balls (whether you like it or not). Or Morris.
Jingus Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 I'd say we've overlooked one obvious one: Oblivion. (Let's face it, a cat pretty much takes over whatever household it's living in.)
MrRant Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 My cat's names are Stealth and RC. I suggest you name it something German. Like Rommel.
Downhome Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 My "mama cat", that's what we call it, just had kittens, but they remain nameless so far.
Guest Contentious C Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 I named my cats Quentin and Tybalt. And one of my mother's cats (a female) is now named Edward because of me. Keep in mind that it doesn't fucking matter what you name them, because you're never going to call them that again for all the nicknames you'll develop.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 My "mama cat", that's what we call it, just had kittens, but they remain nameless so far. Awww...

Downhome Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Someone told me to name the black one Vader based on this picture.
DerangedHermit Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Someone told me to name the black one Vader based on this picture. I want the evil cat......
KanadianKrusty Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 The black one kinda looks like a tiny bear in this one.
Nevermortal Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 "Useless Animal" or "The Muffin Man"
2GOLD Posted September 25, 2004 Report Posted September 25, 2004 Someone told me to name the black one Vader based on this picture. Your cat gave birth to one of the creatures from "Critters"?
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 26, 2004 Report Posted September 26, 2004 I didn't even see that one in the first pic. Kinda looks like my Shadow (only w/out the green eyes, and a lot thinner) who's in the hospital...
