Mik 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 I know there have been too many people banned for trying to start a free iPod thread to get themselves over. However, there are many online message boards that have a free iPod "conga line" that is limited to members of their message board only. I don't want to go around signing up for a bunch of crappy message boards, and I figured this has quite a large membership...so we can actually get a large amount of people at this board a free ipod. I'm not trying to start spam, or to be a nuisance, so if a mod feels this is crossing the line....by all means delete it. What I am trying to do is get a line started and with enough participation we can get 50-100 people free ipods. Now, here's how it works. I will start the list with my name and anyone else who has already signed up can pick a sequential number after me. Anyone who hasn't yet, but wants to get in can use my referral link and then add their link to the bottom. After 5 people say they have completed mine...it is taken off the list and whoever is in the number two slot (say for instance...flyboy) is moved up to number one...and then they are number one and people use their referrals. So...if anyone is interested... I am gonna get the party started right now. And again, mods, if you feel this is crossing the line...do what you must, but I think this is beneficial. We could really get something going here. I've seen a few people on the board mention that they would like to do the offer, but they are put off by the referrals. I just did the Blockbuster offer through that and cancelled immediately after. I clicked "check status" at freeipods.com right after signing up and it said: Congratulations! You have completed your requirements. Now just get 5 friends to complete an offer. Then I cancelled at the Blockbuster site through "My Account". They only charge your credit/debit card if you don't cancel before the two-week trial ends. I don't know if it counted towards his or not but hopefully it did. Hopefully, by that point, enough of you will have gotten these free iPods that we won't have to see these bloody threads pop up every week. Next Monday, it'll be closed, but it'll still be here for people to use referrals and such. In exchange for not closing this thread like we have all the others, I don't want to see anymore free iPod (or free any other similar offer) threads started.
