natey2k4 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 Just list your favourite 3-5 WCW matches so that I can try and find them. I dont care if they've had a lot of buildup or no buildup. I just want good, entertaining matches. My favourite three are.. 3) Alex Wright vs Ultimo Dragon (Clash of the Champs in August of 97). 2) Steve Austin vs Ricky Steamboat (I believe it was Spring Stampede 1994) and 1) Psicosis vs Rey Mysterio (Bash of the Beach 1996). Feel free to leave you opinion on these matches.. and give me some other GREATS.

Zack Malibu 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 The Steamboat/Austin match in question was probably the August '94 Clash match where Ricky won the US Title back.

That was Steamboat/Flair.... I'm absolutely sure he was refering to Bash At The Beach 1994.
natey2k4 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 The Flair/Steamboat match I was thinking of is when you think Steamboat has the win after with a pinned bridge, but he's shoulders are counted down too and Austin retains by draw.

Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Absolutely impossable to pick but I'll try 3 of my favs. Really, I could put tons of matches in here. Benoit vs Eddie Guerrero 11/18/95 WCWSN Benoit vs Bret Hart Owen Hart Tribute match Benoit vs Eddie Guerrero -- Benoit's Nitro debut
Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 28, 2004 OK, serious post: Ric Flair vs. Sting (Final Nitro) Note: No, it's not a good match, but it's historic and is the final final chapter of the Flair/Sting saga in WCW. Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Eddy Guerrero (HHavoc 97) Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit (Owen Tribute Match) Incase the first one doesn't cut it, I'm also partial to Luger/Sting/Savage vs. The Outsiders from BATB 96, also because of historic value. Guest Staravenger Report post Posted September 28, 2004 The 1991 Match of the Year from SuperBrawl. Download it from LimeWire. Now...what years are mentioned in the title here? If this were all time, I'd probably have about 20 matches from the 80's on my list. And yes, I've heard it's a great match, just need to track down a copy of Superbrawl for my collection. Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Anyone know whatever happend to Blitzkrieg? He left wrestling at the end of 1999. I heard he has wrestled on occasion since then, but it has been rare. Suffice to say, working in WCW killed his passion for wrestling. And my top matches would be: Blitzkreig v Rey Mysterio Jr v Juventud Guerrera v Psicosis - Nitro, April of '99 Dean Malenko v Rey Mysterio Jr - HH '96 Rey Mysterio Jr v Eddie Guerrero - HH '97 Bret Hart v Chris Benoit - Owen Hart Tribute Juventud Guerrera - SprSta '
reign 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 I would have to go with the World War III battles from 97(?) with the NWO staying in the corner all night and demolishing anyone who challenged them. The next two years are good two with the NWO pulling a fast one on everybody with Hogan coming to help Hall at the end against DDP and the Giant. And the last one where Nash won was good two. All the Wolf Pack, Benoit/Malenko,Booker, Scott Hall and the Giant were in there at the end. WWIII matches were always fun because of everybody involved and the team efforts that are never seen at the Rumble. I wish WWE would do something like this once. Guest Total Jim Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Not a GREAT match, but hyped well, worked well and written well. Goldberg (U.S Champion) vs Hollywood Hogan (WCW Heavyweight Champion) It was coming, we all saw it coming, and when it came it was a true highlight. Weird it was wasted on WCW Nitro. Probably coz of the failing ratings at the time. When all the locker rooms emptied to assist each side (WCW/nWo), great stuff. WW3's were awesome.. shit i can't think of anything else specific it's been too long since i watched it. Early Rey Rey, none of that after-the-mask crap, Eddie with his sequined jacket That four-way on Nitro with Flair vs Sting vs ? i think Luger vs ? with Macho Man as the guest Ref.. Can someone fill those blanks? It was late 90's early 00's. When Mach came back in with Gorgeous George.. Dang she was a honey.. End Of Story

It was late 90's early 00's. When Mach came back in with Gorgeous George.. The four way match on Monday Nitro (04/05/99) was Ric Flair vs. Hollywood Hogan vs. Diamond Dallas Page vs. Goldberg. The four way with Macho Man Randy Savage as the guest referee was Flair vs. Hogan vs. DDP vs. Sting at Spring Stampede 1999. So which one do you mean?
