AmazingRen 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 HEAT TAPINGS (1) Muhammed Hussan won a squash over some out of shape fat local jobber guy. I must say that Hussan has a very impressive look. When he debuts I don't put it past Vince to turn him into the next Sargeant Slaughter during the early '90s. Hussan wins with the camel clutch. (2) Chris Benoit pinned Rodney Mack. This is the exact reason WWE is not worth watching right now. Not too long ago Benoit was in the midst of a seven month long heavyweight title reign. Now he is the curtain jerker who tries to make the Mack Attack look good. I'm sick of seeing Benoit vs. Flair, but after watching that match I am praying for a Benoit-Flair series to take me through the rest of the year. Oh yeah, Benoit wins. (3) Maven pinned Rob Conway. Maven comes away with the victory with a roll up. On a personal level I would like to see Maven become a member of Evolution. The guy has a great look and could use the same rub Batista and Orton got. (4) Chuck Palumbo pinned Steven Richards. Again, why can't we see a Big Stevie Cool or something. He could even become a Shawn Michaels stalker since they look so much alike and used to even use the same finisher with Sweet Chin Music and the Stevie kick. At least make him comical. And Palumbo just seems to be trying to look like Brutus of Popeye. Palumbo wins with a Samoan drop variation. CREDIT=PWTorch Man, I feel sorry for Benoit. According to this report he's not even in the main event.

SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 What's really sad isn't that Benoit isn't on Sunday Night Heat, it's that he isn't even on the MAIN EVENT of Sunday Night Heat! My money says Benoit jobs to Batista at WrestleMania.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 There's always the chance they'll rearrage the show when it airs so that the Benoit/Mack match is the ME. If not, then hmm....
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 I will note that I'll probably watch and like that match, despite it being horrible for Benoits career.
Guest Loss Report post Posted September 28, 2004 It's one match. HHH wrestled a match on Heat last year too around this time ... after not appearing on RAW for that matter. There are arguments that support the idea of Benoit getting shafted. This isn't one of them. Sorry.

There are arguments that support the idea of Benoit getting shafted. This isn't one of them. Sorry. Benoit wrestled at least one other Heat match recently--I think either the night after losing the title for the following week. So Benoit isn't even going to be on the No Mercy card at all? Nope, nothing to that...

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Okay, okay--4 people don't have to tell me that. Yeah, I forgot. So, how many Benoit-less Raws and Heat matches are the minimum we can agree on to justifiably bitch about? We're up to at least 2 so far... Maybe Benoit will make Taboo Tuesday. After all, he made the last PPV, even though it was in a pointless, slapped-together tag match as part of the Retard Brigade.

Guest Loss Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Good. Let's get rid of the B-show mentality and start having Orton, Jericho, HHH and HBK start working Heat too. Ratings would probably jump at least a full point. JBL is a Velocity regular and he's the champ.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 My guess is that they put the Benoit match on early because his appearance would get a big pop, and thus having him on the card early is a good thing. Most likely, as has been said, the show will be rearannged to put his match on last when it actually airs. We'll find out on Sunday.
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 JBL is a Velocity regular and he's the champ. Being a regular on a 'B' show is yet one more reason that nobody can accept JBL has a true World Champion. As long as the weekend shows are clearly 'B' shows, and are treated as such, anyone on their regularly is going to be seen as 'B' level talent. One or two apperances every so often isn't that bad, but being on either show regularly is.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Report post Posted September 28, 2004 JBL is a Velocity regular and he's the champ. They don't want it to get a better rating then Smackdown
strummer 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 IIRC, JBL has been on Velocity twice, once against Funaki in April, and against Shannon Moore right before Summerslam. That isn't exactly a "regular"

Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Chris Benoit should be wrestling the entire first hour of RAW every Monday. I like this guy! So, are they going to show Benoit vs Mack over here in Canada or what? What's the deal with Heat before the Smackdown PPVs? WP -- Just got an 8hr Benoit tape with nothing but rare and very rare matches so I just might be able to make it through this week. Still doesn't make me happy about the situation however. Guest JRE Report post Posted September 28, 2004 There isn't a situation: -Heat will not air in the US- no one will have to go through the "horror" of seeing Benoit on the B-show. -Benoit is still a World Title contender for Taboo Tuesday -Benoit was on Raw- sure, for just a little insignificant bit, but he was also mentioned by Bischoff as "a guy Triple H has not been able to beat" It's all in your heads. For all we know Benoit could've asked to have the match so he could do something last night besides one little segment. It's nothing to condemn the WWE about. There'slenty of bigger problems.... Guest Rrrsh Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Benoit will win this Taboo Tuesday thing, so who cares if he appeared on RAW and wrestled on Heat. No matter who he has faced since Orton, he looks hella strong and still is as over as before. This board can get very whiney.

Just John 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 (2) Chris Benoit pinned Rodney Mack. Just to nitpick, Benoit actually made him tap to the crossface. I'm just wondering when these matches will air.
ISportsFan 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I'm just wondering when these matches will air. They won't in North America. They will in the UK, and I'm not sure, but possibly other parts of Europe. Jason
