kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Both parents lived in the Pittsburgh area. That's all. I have no clue where I came from other than that. My mom was adopted, and while she's tracing her roots I don't give two shits about it. Whenever she lets me know about my "new family" I just skip over reading that. Legend has it that my one great-great-great-grandsomethingorother was found along one of those wagon trails back in the 1800s. But I really don't care about all of that though -- I'm an American... Guest BDC Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Scotch-Irish heritage. Meaning not only Scottish and Irish but Scotch-Irish refers to a group of Scots that relocated to Ireland in the 1900's. Oh, and I have some Black Irish in me too.

lomasmoney 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 my grandfathers were from Arkansas and Mississippi respectively, and my grandmothers were from Michigan( but moved from Alabama as an infant) and Ohio. I'm mostly black but on my dad's side his father's grandfather was white, and my mom's side has a whole bunch of racially mixed people along the lines. Guest T®ITEC Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Mom's side is, basically, "Western Europe's Greatest Hits!" Lots of French, English, some Irish and Scottish,... Dad's is more German than anything. They first came to Ontario before WWI, then spread out in Indiana and a bunch of other terrible places like that. Back in Germany, my family was nothing but theives/goat herders/copper miners. All in all, I think there may have been two non-white people in our family. One was, supposedly, a Cherokee woman that Sam Houston slept with.

Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 Mostly Irish and German. My maternal great-grandfather emigrated from Germany, and his eventual wife emigrated from Ireland. On my father's side, there's some more Irish and German, along with English and (sigh) a smidgen of French.

Corey_Lazarus 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 My father's grandmother was born and raised in Glasgow, and moved to America with her husband, who was from London. So my dad is primarily Scottish and English, more so Scottish as his mother's grandparents were also from Scotland and Scottish-laden villages in Canada. My mother is half Portuguese, as her father was from Portugal and moved to America during his teens, and her mother has roots in France, Italy, Ireland, Germany, and even Spain, I think. I like to consider myself a Scotchuguese bastard.

The Metal Maniac 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 My grandmother was German, my great-grandmother MAY have been a native American (we honestly don't know), and the rest of my family are either Irish or Scottish, though most of the Irish part has been in Canada since the 1700's or so. {''({o..o})''} 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2004 About 90-95% German, the other 5-10% is a mixture of pretty much everything European. We have traced our family back quite a ways, with a defrocked Cardinal from the Catholic church being one of the more notorious members.

The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Oh, I'm a pleasant bunch of things. On my mom's side, my ancestors moved from Bohemia (which would later become my username) and Poland to America. My dad's side is German, Quebecois, and English. My great-grandfather on that side was Jewish too, and I shit you not, looked exactly like Groucho Marx. This makes me a Beaver-trapping Nazi Limey Polock Czech Jew.
