Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 (edited) ~ The H2H League is run by daily roster changes. Please remember to change them every day. ~ Roster (8): C, 2F, 2G, 1U and 2 benches. 2 DL spots. ~ Stats (7): Points, Assists, Blocks, Steals, 3 Points, Rebounds, FT%. Sadly, each statistic still counts as a game, for God only knows what reason. ~ The draft is offline. ~ Last date to trade players will be March 17th, 2005. ~ Players will be on waivers for a period of four days should you drop someone. (anyone not drafted will be on waivers) ~ There is no can't cut list, because I don't believe in that crap. For non-keepers and newbies there will be a round of Madness that will be a completely random set of picks done up by the mythical Magic Sorting Hat I own. You will find out who is picking during the draft. Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Ah damn, I liked last years draft format better, although I can understand how it probably got a bit drawn out.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Oh I wouldn't mind doing it again, but it was cutting it close like last year.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 You have the league set to an offline draft: Your league conducts its own player draft offline and submits the results via our draft results entry page, which can be reached from the Commissioner's Tools on your league overview page. So why, exactly, do we have a time limit for our picks?
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I'm in...this time with the proper spelling of Harlequins
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 You have the league set to an offline draft: Your league conducts its own player draft offline and submits the results via our draft results entry page, which can be reached from the Commissioner's Tools on your league overview page. So why, exactly, do we have a time limit for our picks? My apologizes for not explaining. It's going to be done in an AIM. Hence why we have a specific time for the draft, unlike last year where we just got people and started making picks. Unless everyone wants to do what we did last year for choosing picks, which I wouldn't mind doing at all.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Better start now since the draft will take 3 weeks to finish!
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Well first I need to know if we wish to do it the way last year. Second, I still need one more person to join the league. If both conditions are met, I'll do it the old way.

Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I prefer to do things like we did last year. With so many teams involved, it is asking a lot for everyone to be available at the right time. If this was a live draft, it would be ok since the system would auto pick someone for the abscentee, ensuring that the person not there would get at least half way decent players. If we just flat out skip someone because something came up and they couldn't get on AIM, then they will end up with a shitty team and probrably not wanting to compete anymore, which screws things up. I think we should start an offline draft starting this sunday or monday. We should have it wrapped up with time to spare. That's my 2 cents.
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 IMO, we should go with the Online Draft on Yahoo. Like DA said, if someone isn't there, they have pre-rankings and it isn't as bad. We should do an online draft with a seperate AIM Chat Room to chat on, since it's easier than the crap they give you on Yahoo. The Yahoo Online Draft though, it's good. But i'm cool with whichever. Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Problem is I am not sure if Yahoo can do an online draft with our keepers. Perhaps it can, but Flik could shed some light. Offline or online is fine for me. However, if everyone can't make an AIM chat draft, we are probrably going to have some idle teams because I can guarantee not everyone will make a chat room. Cartman 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I want to keep it offline like it was last year. Set up a pinned thread for the picks to be made in, and we have PLENTY of time to finish. If it gets within a week or so to the start of the season THEN have an AIM draft to complete everything. There is NO need to rush this.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I'm in, and I'd perfer the offline. ps - could we get a list of guys being kept?
HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I also like the idea of doing the draft off-line like last year.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I'll restate my liking of the format from the last year for the draft. I don't know what my plans are for tomorrow, let alone October 10th. Cartman has the best plan I'd say, if we're pushing it close, then do the AIM chatroom. But yeah, no need to do it in one shot. I'm sure this is listed a few dozen times somewhere, but who is keeping who? I know I've still got Peja and Kidd but I'm not sure on anyone else.
Der Kommissar 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I'm in as well, and I also would prefer an offline draft, even if it caused me to make some boneheaded picks last year.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 IMO, we should go with the Online Draft on Yahoo. Can't be done which is why I wish to change from Yahoo. I want to keep it offline like it was last year. I'm in, and I'd perfer the offline. ...wow... Didn't know it was THAT loved. Of course, I need one more person to join our league before I can start up the draft, but since so many people wish for it to be like last year. When I get home, I'll whip out the Magic Sorting Hat and set up the Madness Round. However, the draft will not go until we get one more person. ps - could we get a list of guys being kept? I'm sure this is listed a few dozen times somewhere, but who is keeping who? I know I've still got Peja and Kidd but I'm not sure on anyone else. even if it caused me to make some boneheaded picks last year. As far as the guys being kept go, I'll have it and the draft proceedings recorded on the very first post of this thread when we get the draft going. With it on the very first post, I have a hard time with someone getting something wrong. That sound good for everyone? (Side Note: Most I've ever massed quoted before... Yeesh...) razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 Why not just get everybody in a chatroom on AIM on Monday night or something? Finish it on one day instead of taking weeks for somebody to show up. Or else I'm going to pick out of turn again!
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2004 Why not just get everybody in a chatroom on AIM on Monday night or something? Finish it on one day instead of taking weeks for somebody to show up. Or else I'm going to pick out of turn again! Just make the stupid mis-picks. Everyone did that last year. BTW, I'm setting the picks up right now. Madness picks have been done up, and the order and official start of the draft should be in about 20 minutes. Also you have a 12 hour window to make a pick from the time someone makes a pick. If you don't, you forfeit your pick until the end of the draft. Unless you specifically PM me and explain why you can't make it. As well, I'll have a thing stating what the last pick was. You'll see that in my post as well.

HarleyQuinn 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2004 *Harley Quinn walks up to the podium* A-HEM! Considering dubious circumstances last year, we(Ivy and myself) get the first pick of the Madness Rounds which...no Mr. J *sob* Anyways, with the 1st pick...the Gotham Harlequins select! KOBE BRYANT Draft Details are in the first post of this thread you bastards so go there

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2004 (edited) Just because you have two fabulous keepers. And where the Bloody Hades is Cena's Writer with his pick? Oh well at 9am EST tomorrow, if he doesn't pick, he's screwed out of it. Edit: Due to the point someone brought up, as soon as Cena gets on, he can just make his pick. Otherwise, everyone's got a twelve hour time limit from the last pick made baring special circumstances, ok? Edited October 1, 2004 by Lightning Flik
