Does Alfdog keep Artest the whole year even though he would count against his roster, keeping keepers in mind for next year, or does he dump/trade him?

He can only keep Artest for Keeper purposes if he keeps him on the roster. Same goes with any other players. Hence, Alf must choose which he'd prefer to do.

I'm keeping him, since now that this has been said, someone will pick him up the minute I drop him and use him as one of their keepers.

Well, it's not as if someone's going to trade me someone of equal value for him. Even if I do drop him, the guy I pick up would probably almost never be put in my lineup, anyway, unless there's only one or two guys playing. Besides, there's still the (slim) chance of the suspension being reduced on an appeal.

Hm, do suspensions work like injuries? I have no idea frankly. Would Artest still be on his list of players but free up a spot for another pick up like injuries or is he just gonna have to live with one less player?

I don't think it works like injuries. Even when Alonzo Mourning went down last season, he got the "NA" by his name, even though he was technically still on the Nets' roster. Same with Karl Malone this season.

Also even though keeping Artest hurts this year, next year Artest should return and put up consistent numbers....assuming he doesn't fuck up next year though.

Alan Houston - Yet to play because he has the dread "Knee Pain"

Cuttino Mobley - His groin has basically been torn off his body

 

That leaves me with Cassell, Ridnour, and Jaric at guard.

 

Glenn Robinson is also on the IL. I'm pretty sure he's there from suffering from obesity. I'm willing to trade Glenn Robinson. I'll take anything ranging from a package of copier paper or three black pens.

Bitchy Glenn Robinson does have it's advantages in fantasy league situations. The more agitated he is, the more he shoots and while he may only make 30% of them, you'll still get a nice night's 20 points and the chance to thank the lord Jesus that field goal percentage is not counted in this league.

 

I drafted Allan Houston originally by the way. It was either him or Grant Hill as my "risky pick". Needless to say, I made a mistake.

Glenn Robinson has been ousted in the starter's role by Andre Igouldala, and given the popularity of Kyle Korver, I doubt he'll ever get serious minutes in Philly again.

Well...picking up Jason Williams seems like a great move for me as everyone else passed up on him while he was on the IL and he put up 27 points and 6 assists last night.

 

No truth to the rumor Im renaming my team the Grizzlies (Miller, Williams and Wright), all of whom I picked up and then their playing time increased big time with the coaching change.

 

I'll also consider trading Baron Davis now..who should be back playing early next year.

Well my strategy of trading Kidd for Redd is working out nicely. I was so far behind on assists as it was that Kidd wasn't gonna help me drastically against any of the good teams and my rebounding is good enough to where I don't need his, so I just brought in the extra scoring. We're dead on assists, and probably free throw percentage most weeks, but we can win any other stat easily.

I'm liking the way my team's going so far, about to retake 1st place with a 7-0 win and i haven't had to make a single change to my roster yet. As soon as Abdur-Rahim's traded and Miles gets to start full-time the team should be even stronger, even with an average center in Mark Blount.

Anyway..its PLAYOFF Time..almost.

 

And it looks like Im (Court Jesters) going to make the playoffs as the 6 seed.

 

As long as I finish 6-1 and Gotham Harlequins finishes no better than 5-2, I win based on the better record for week 21 (This week). Id say that the odds are pretty good of that happening..however I've had heartbreak on the final day of other leagues before so I wont get all excited for 23 hours.

 

As for my keepers..Its looking to me like..

Looks like i'm a sure bet to finish 1st overall, and i only had to make two roster moves all year to do it, while forgetting to update my lineup plenty of times and being stuck with a shit center all season to boot.

 

On keepers, i don't know when they have to be in but i'm almost certainly going to go with Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen & Kirk Hinrich.
