The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2004 The other thing they didn't like about Norm McDonald, I think, was that if a joke went over like a fart in church, Norm would either apologize, wait for a reaction, or most often just bash the crowd for not laughing. But for me it goes Dennis Miller Norm McDonald Kevin Nealon and I never noticed any improvement in Colin Quinn, I hated him since day one.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2004 Yea- Norm Macdonald's tendencies to smile after his jokes or go into detail explaining them or defend them after they bomb also ticked off Ohlemeyer. I thought it was hilarious.

Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 I have to give Amy some time before she is as bad as Jimmy fuckin Fallon. Yeah bob, I know, Fallon had timing with Tina, blah blah blah.. the motherfucker sucked, never brought an iota of funny IMO and can crawl up Lorne Michaels ass and die for all I care. Jimmy Fallon=worse WU anchor, ever!
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 We always disagree DA but I'll defend Jimmy again. Jimmy was not the worst WU anchor ever. Charles Rocket and the people of the 80s nearly succeeded in killing Update for good. (It was renamed SNL News for a bit) Colin Quinn also couldn't TOUCH Jimmy. Fallon and Tina had that underlying sexual tension that made everything so great. The more I think about the more I think they should've kissed in the Grease skit. Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 I am not going to lie and say I'm being objective. I am very biased and admit my pure hatred for this hack of a comedian very much influences the opinion I stated above yours.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 I've noticed that. I think we have to agree to disagree. You want Jimmy Fallon drawn and quartered and then shot execution style. I kind of don't. Even though that may change after seeing Taxi
Guest JRE Report post Posted October 15, 2004 Colin seems to have issues with cue cards.

Even though that may change after seeing Taxi I can live with agreeing to disagree. I can see your point about the man, but again, my hatred for him doesn't allow for me to EVER give him any compliments. At least you have sense to know Taxi is rubbish, although Latifah isn't doing anyone favors in that movie either.

I thought it was hilarious. But the biggest controversy of all? You guessed it. Frank Stallone.
starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 It's an injustice that when The Contender finally hits the airwaves, Frank Stallone will be on TV, but Norm won't....
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 I always thought they fired Norm cause he was using part of the show's budget to further his study into whether or not Germans love David Hasselhoff?
starvenger 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2004 I always thought they fired Norm cause he was using part of the show's budget to further his study into whether or not Germans love David Hasselhoff? Probably not, because Hasselhoff came on the show and said it was true. Okay, he said "Germans love me!!", and it was because Norm wrote it down and told him to say it, but it's not like it was a Nobel Prize-winning theory or anything.
