Run-A-Fed

Recommended Posts

Alright, here's the updated Run-A-Fed. Same deal as before...I'll supply the roster, the staff, and all of the other "inside" stuff. It's up to you guys to create shows based on what I give you. Just like last time, the first show is a kickoff point where you're free to do what you want. I'll select what show I enjoyed most, and the next card MUST be built coming off that one. Starting with the second show, I'll leave details of what I want to go down on the TV, etc. so that you have a few things to abide by.

New start, so new fed!

Lol, Nicole Bass. I'd not even thought of her in years, thanks for bringing that up. It's a little awkward for me to use wrestlers that have passed or are crippled, but this is a good way to show what we think about them and it's all fun anyway. I'll have to work to make mine different than the other I started.

ECP Show #1

Show opens at 9, no opening, with crowd shots, close-up on various signs, including several badmouthing the WWE, HHH, Cena. At the announce table, Styles and JBL welcome everyone to the first ever broadcast of Elite Combat Project, live on FX, from Miami. Crowd is hot. Styles says the new league will have wrestlers of all types, but will focus on bringing to the viewers at home and to live events, "the best athletes in the world." He adds some of the most famous names in wrestling history will be among those wrestling for ECP. Styles says the opening match is for the tag belts, and the main event, Randy Savage vs Roddy Piper, is for the heavyweight title.

JBL is excited to be here, and says any wrestling organization needs champions. He explains the wrestlers who've accomplished the most, besides him, were chosen to fight for the belts tonight. (2:00)

Opening match for the tag belts, and we hear the music of the British Bulldogs. Crowd erupts, as it's the first teamup of Davey Boy Smith and the Dynamite Kid in years. Styles says the two had some "serious issues" but everything appears to be alright now. After the cheering dies down, Booker T comes to the ring with his traditional music, followed by Ricky Morton to his old "Rock and Roll is King."

Morton grabs the mic and says Robert Gibson couldn't make it tonight, he wanted to team with his old buddy but Gibson is under contract to somebody else. Booker says Stevie Ray is busy training new champs, but he respects everything Ricky Morton has done. Booker says they're gonna kick some Bulldog ass, and if Matilda was here, he'd kick her fleabitten ass, too. Crowd gives the new team a good cheer, but the Bulldogs are the slight fan favorites.

Despite Booker's confidence, the Bulldogs have too much experience as a team. Morton takes a pounding but kicks out from a diving headbut from Dynamite. Morton moves out of the way from a Davey Boy splash into the corner and gets the hot tag. Crowd gets going for Booker as he roughs up both opponents and Davey Boy gets the worst of it when Booker runs their heads together.

Morton jumps in without the tag and dropkicks Dynamite out of the ring, meanwhile Booker does the spinarooni. Morton jumps back out and doesn't understand why Booker did the spin instead of finishing Davey Boy off, and the recovered Bulldog belly suplexes out of a bookend attempt. Dynamite cuts Morton off from making the save, and the Bulldog's power slam finishes the match giving the Englishmen the belts. After the match Morton is a little aggravated, but shakes Booker's hand and says this was a good start for their team. Styles said they should get a rematch quickly but he doesn't make those decisions. (13:00 counting entrances and prematch talk by Morton).

Commercials (3:00)

Back from the break and in a locker room area, where interviewer Maria introduces herself, then introduces her guest Stevie Richards. Richards said he's been a follower wherever he's been. Maria asks what about when he wore a white shirt and got the pimp to change his ways, and Richards says he didn't believe in that, he had to do it "because he was broke." He said he's glad to be in ECP because everyone is starting off as equals and everybody gets an equal chance. He hopes to get a title shot at whoever wins the belt, but he's cut off as he sees Raven walking toward him and Maria. Richards says he's gotta go and walks off quickly as Raven looks over Maria. He stares at her for 20 seconds and finally just says four words, "I can see it." JBL in a voiceover asks "Who invited Scotty Flamingo," and Styles says softly maybe he shouldn't have said that. (3:00)

Styles tells the viewers even with champions being crowned tonight, the other matches will all help determined lists of contenders. He said there will be no throwaway matches in ECP, rankings will be produced and shown to viewers starting in a few weeks. The loser of the heavyweight title match tonight will wrestle next week against another top star, for the TV title. (1:00)

In the ring, and Howard Finkel introduces the participants for the next match, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. Neither gets a huge reaction from the crowd, but put on a great match that gets the crowd going quickly. Crossbody by Sabin to Shelley on the floor gets the first OMG from Styles. JBL says he's impressed by both young men, but says too much risk taking will lead to losses against the veterans in this league. Match goes to a 15:00 draw, and crowd shows appreciation for great efforts by both men. (16:30 counting introductions). JBL said he's told if the horndogs at home want another look at Maria, they should stick around after commercials.

Commercials (3:00)

Back from the break, with Bobby Heenan and his Family in the back. Heenan tells Maria he's always worked with intelligent, trustworthy, honorable wrestlers, and that's why he went out and signed the Barbarian, Warlord and Giant Gonzales. Maria says she knows she's no Alberto Einstein, but this group doesn't look too intelligent, trustworthy and honorable to her. Heenan laughs and just says they're misunderstood, and he can make them champions and help them with their finances while doing so. He says the Bolldogs can't match the power of the Barbarian and Warlord, and he won't miss out on another chance to lead a giant to the top prize in the sport. The trio grunt and growl. (2:00)

To the announce table and Styles gives more information on the top athletes signed. He says amateur wrestlers have been among the top stars ever in pro wrestling, and says Ric Flair, the Briscos and Bob Backlund are just some of the examples. Clips of Shelton Benjamin, then Kurt Angle, wrestling in amateur matches are shown. Styles says each is working hard to adapt to the professional style and will be debuting soon. (2:30)

Howard Finkel announces the next match, and a massive wrestler with smoking headgear stalks to the ring. JBL says he never expected Big Van Vader to leave Japan where he'd been dominating for years, but says raw fish and girls that all look the same has to get old eventually. Styles reminds everyone any complaint letters should be sent to John Bradshaw Layfield, but agrees Vader is awesome. He adds Vader has not wrestled in the US since his old AWA days, and says Vader was also an amatuer wrestler and played in the NFL. JBL says enjoys football as much as anybody but for Styles not to "get hard" over anybody just because they have a football background.

Vader's long entrance is completed by now, and his opponent Brad Armstrong is introduced. He gets a decent reaction. Styles says Armstrong has been a tag champ and singles champ, and that Brad doesn't believe in curses. None of that matters in this match though, Vader's power is overwhelming. Armstrong is half unconscious after hard punches and forearms while backed into the corner but Vader continues his assault. Styles says the ref should consider stopping the match but JBL says Vader is sending a message out to everyone tonight. More brutality and the ref calls for the bell as Armstrong can't defend himself.

Vader takes the mic from Finkel after the match and says everyone can expect the same kind of treatment. He's here to beat people up and cause pain, and he's also got a surprise for everybody. (6:30, with introductions and Vader's postmatch talking).

Commercials (5:00)

Top of the hour, and more clips of ECP talent are shown. Styles says wrestlers competing in Mexico are among the most exciting in the world, and we see video of Eddy Guerrero and Rey Mysterio Jr. JBL says he doesn't like Mexicans and Styles tries to explain these two are American citizens, but JBL ignores the explanation. He does say they're great athletes. (3:00)

Next match, and Finkel introduces Ken Shamrock who gets a big pop. In the corner interview box shown while Shamrock gets in the ring, Shamrock says he backs down from nobody, and won't no matter who he's facing in this, his first pro wrestling match. Shamrock's opponent is another tough SOB, JBL says, Fit Finlay. Finaly really gets on a fan who asks where's the Leprechaun and says he doesn't need that bullshit (bleeped).

In the ring, and the match is hard hitting. Shamrock tries takedowns and goes for an ankle lock, but Finley doesn't fall victim to it. They end up brawling outside the ring and Shamrock gets a slight advantage before the ref calls for a double countout. Shamrock is close to "snapping" Styles says, and JBL says he knows Finlay will be eager to get into the ring again with Shamrock. (9:00 counting intros and after match brawling).

Commercials (3:00)

Back from the break, and back to the locker room area. Paul Heyman is talking to Maria now, and really giving her the eye. Maria doesn't even seem to notice. Heyman said he was a manager before he owned a wrestling company and breaking portable telephones is not hip these days but managing men to championship belts is. He brings in his new Dangerous Alliance: Barry Windham, Brian Lee, Sean O'Haire, Evan Karagious and Madusa. Heyman says the group will take every belt in the ECP: The TV title, the tag belts and the cruiserweight title for Karagious. Maria says she didn't know there was an ECP cruiser title, but she's learning more and more everyday. Heyman gives a perv smile and says he still has some power and there will be a cruiser title. Maria said he left out the heavyweight title and Heyman answers "Oh, yeah, I forgot, the heavyweight champ: here he comes" and into the scene walks Vader. Maria is very scared and even the other Alliance members seem a little nervous around Vader. (4:00)

Tag match next, and Finkel introduces O'Haire and Lee, then Kensuke Sasaki and Tajiri. The Japanese wrestlers control most of the match, and are the clear fan favorites. JBL says he doesn't like Heyman but he'll root for his team over a pair of "Japs" anyday. Styles again says any complaints should be addressed to John Bradshaw Layfield, and JBL really gets on his case acting like such a wimp.

End of the match and Tajiri uses the mist on O'Haire, setting JBL off. He gets up and tells the ref what happen, ref is distracted, and Heyman actually does use the phone and cracks Sasaki in the head. Big boot to the skull by Lee as Sasaki stumbles to his feet, and the Alliance gets the win. Outside the ring, JBL still stands and is proud of himself, when he's attacked from behind by Raven and Stevie Richards. Both wrestlers beat JBL with chairs repeatedly until they're run off by security. JBL is a crimson mask. Raven says everyone gets what's coming to them eventually, JBL's fate was just far sooner then anyone knew. (11:00 counting introductions and JBL beatdown).

Commercial (3:00)

Back from the break and Raven is sitting at the announce table with Styles. Styles is very lowkey. Raven says JBL is unavailable and they needed a color man so what about him? Styles says it's okay, if they'll just focus on the match (1:00)

Finkel makes the introductions and both Roddy Piper and Randy Savage get huge pops. Both are in face mode, with Savage helping open the ring ropes for Miss Elizabeth and Piper getting some cheap heat from the Miami crowd by bashing former Dolphin coach Nick Sabin.

Once the match starts, both start to roughhouse but it never gets completely dirty. Both men are in excellent shape and Savage starts to get frustrated that he can't get complete control. End comes when Piper misses a clothesline, Savage nails one and Savage tries the elbow from the top rope. Piper had been playing possum and gets the sleeper, weakening Savage. Another missed move by Savage and Elizabeth looks worried. She should be, as Piper gets a clean pin with a school boy to win the belt. Styles is more excited by now, even with Raven sitting by him.

After the match, Savage reaches out to shake hands. Piper is reluctant and rightfully so, but they do shake. Into the ring though come Vader, Windham, Courageous, Heyman and Madusa. The three wrestlers do a number on the worn down Piper and Savage, while Heyman taunts them and Madusa holds Elizabeth. Vader is loud enough without a mic to say he told everyone he was here to cause pain and he'll show what he means right now. He grabs Elizabeth from Madusa and bearhugs her at first, then gives her the power bomb! Crowd is fucking pissed and a fan tries to storm the ring but is stopped by security. Styles gives an almost whispering OMG and Raven says "That was nice." EMTs rush into the ring as the Alliance leaves. Piper and Savage check on Elizabeth at first then Savage tells Piper to take care of her. He begins to head toward the back as the show ends. (26:00, counting introductions, match, Alliance run-in and everything after).

- We are live on FX for the latest venture in professional wrestling, the Elite Combat Project! Joey Styles and John Bradshaw Layfield welcome us to the show, in amongst thinly-veiled shots at each other, promising that ECP would deliver the Elite in Combat on this show. Plus, Giant Gonzalez! Tonight would be a proving ground for the ECP talent, with the Board watching on before making rulings on the title situations next week.

1. Six Man Tag Team Match

Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin and The Amazing Red defeat Marty Jannetty, Ricky Morton and Paul Roma in 5:20 (*3/4)

The old versus the new in the opener. The agility of the new beats out the experience of the old, Jannetty taking the fall courtesy of the Code Red from The Amazing Red.

- Backstage, The Coach has the 'fortune' to conduct an interview with Stan "The Lariat" Hansen ahead of his match with Vader tonight. All the while chewing a large mouthful of tobacco, Hansen proclaims that he's the biggest and the baddest in all of wrestling and warned that Vader shouldn't mess with Texas. JBL strongly agreed with Hansen's words, prompting Styles to remind him he's from New York now.

- A promo airs, hyping the presence of 'pure wrestling' in ECP. Tonight, Kurt Angle versus Shelton Benjamin!

2. Tag Team Match

The Powers Of Pain w/Bobby "The Brain" Heenan beat The British Bulldogs in 4:43 (1/2*)

Dynamite started and held his own against both Powers. But the moment he tagged out, Davey Boy inexplicably turned on his partner, drilling him with the Running Powerslam! Bulldog walked off as Heenan instructed his team to finish Dynamite off with the Spike Piledriver for the 3!

- As Davey Boy got through the curtains, Coach was waiting on him. Bulldog explained that 'blood was thicker than water', which is when Owen Hart walked into shot and hugged Bulldog, the reunited Hart Family members laughing as they walk off.

- After their defeat earlier, the trio of Paul Roma, Marty Jannetty and Ricky Morton were in a locker room looking pretty down-hearted. Roma tried to cheer his new-found buddies up though, telling them that they'd bounce back. The threesome then tried to decide on a collective name to go by. The Rock n' Rockers Express And Glory was shot down in a hurry. At that moment the door creaked open, the shadow of Raven looming over the trio. Raven remarked that they all looked like "lost souls" before closing the door behind him.

- Shelton Benjamin is seen warming up backstage.

3. Singles Match

Finlay beat Tajiri in 7:13 (**1/4)

A really hard hitting match (and not a midget in sight!), with Tajiri's patented kicks matched up against Finlay's all-round physical style. The ending saw Tajiri try to lock in the Tarantula for the 2nd time in the match. This time, Finlay had it scouted, pulling Tajiri off the ropes and right into the Celtic Cross to pick up the victory.

- Next week, "Macho Man" Randy Savage will make his debut for ECP!

4. Showcase Eight Man Tag Team Match

Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Booker T and Mike Awesome defeated Roddy Piper, Sean O'Haire, Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes in 14:39 (**1/2)

This was indeed a showcase, with everybody getting their chance to shine once the match broke down and referee Jack Doan lost control. With bodies strewn around and battles going on around ringside, Rey Mysterio and Roddy Piper were left in the ring. Rey connected with The 619, which set up Piper for a match-winning Guerrero Frog Splash. Post-match, Eddie and Rey celebrated the win.

- Kurt Angle was going through his own warm-up routine in a secluded area backstage. Not secluded enough to be found by Paul Heyman apparantly, who took Angle aside out of camera shot.

- Meanwhile, with Maria are Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, who announce their intention to go after the ECP World Tag Team Champions. VIVA LA RAZA! Maria dumbly asks "what about Dominick?", leaving an awkward silence in the air as Eddie and Rey leave. Joey admitted that Maria wasn't the brightest spark, but at least she made the place a little prettier.

5. Singles Match

Owen Hart w/British Bulldog defeated "Terrific" Terry Taylor in 3:03 (1/2*)

Taylor put up a brief fight, but Owen scored with an Enziguri to earn the win. As Owen and Bulldog celebrated their victory over the KOed Taylor, out ran The Dynamite Kid looking for revenge for earlier. Suffice to say, Owen and Bulldog fled in a hurry.

- Before the next match, Paul Heyman came to the ring, to introduce the man he was going to lead all the way to the ECP World Heavyweight Championship, Kurt Angle! Angle made his entrance and shook Heyman's hand before vowing to show he IS 'Elite Combat' by breaking Shelton Benjamin's ankle here tonight.

6. Singles Match

Shelton Benjamin beat Kurt Angle w/Paul Heyman in 12:29 (***)

After a mat wrestling display in the opening stages, Benjamin crashed and burned on an aerial move to gift Angle the advantage. On numerous occassions Angle went for his patented Ankle Lock, only for his former protege to have a counter to it, the last of which being a shock roll-up for the upset victory!

- Post-match, Angle was furious and jumped Benjamin, pounding him mercilessly with mounted punches as Heyman kept the referee at bay. Angle then applied the Ankle Lock he was looking for, leaving Benjamin tapping like a madman while referees and members of the roster piled out to try and pull the crazed Angle off of Shelton. Nobody seemed to have much success, until Ken Shamrock shoved everyone aside, pulling Angle off of Shelton with a rear waistlock takedown! Angle jumped back up ready to fight but the bodies quickly piled in to hold Angle and Shamrock apart.

- In the meantime we quickly cut away to an interview with Vader, who said he didn't fear 'The Lariat'.

- Elsewhere, Madusa was with Maria and ran the loveable interviewer down, claiming that unlike her she deserved to be in ECP. The interview was interrupted by Rick Martel walking past, lowering his sunglasses and showing the ladies his oversized 'Yes I Am A Model' badge. Neither seemed that impressed.

- Picking up from earlier, we see Raven leaving the locker room, announcing (to no-one in particular) that The Lost Souls of Wrestling had been cleansed.

- Joey and JBL announced that next week, the Tag Team Title Tournament would begin. It would feature eight teams- Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, The Powers Of Pain, Owen Hart and The British Bulldog, The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin), Roddy Piper and Sean O'Haire, The Lost Souls (Marty Jannetty and Ricky Morton), Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes and The Dynamite Kid plus a partner of his choosing!

7. Singles Match

Vader beat Stan Hansen by DQ at 6:49 (**)

As you'd expect, a really stiff brawl until Hansen suddenly wielded his cowbell and knocked Vader out in the centre of the ring. Hansen wrapped the bullrope around Vader's throat and started to choke him out as he called to the back.

- And out ran Barry Windham, Dustin Rhodes and Lance Cade! The four Texans put the cowboy boots to Vader, still being choked by the bullrope. The beatdown only stopped when "Bam Bam" Terry Gordy ran out and cleaned house with the aid of a steel chair. Hansen and his troops regrouped and walked off with pointed fingers and thrown threats towards Gordy. Before getting to the back, Hansen warned the world not to mess with the "Texas Wrecking Crew" as he tried to whip the cameraman with the bullrope.

- And that's all for this week folks!

Next Week:

The first round of the Tag Team Title Tournament featuring Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, The Powers Of Pain, Owen Hart and The British Bulldog, The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin), Roddy Piper and Sean O'Haire, The Lost Souls (Marty Jannetty and Ricky Morton), Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes and The Dynamite Kid plus a partner of his choosing!

Randy Savage's in-ring debut!

Rulings regarding the World and TV Titles!

Madusa vs. Gail Kim!

Plus more!

Elite Combat Project Episode #1

The show kicks off with nothing more than a graphic as we are live from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL. And we begin at ringside with Jonathan Coachman, who welcomes us to the show and announces that the ECP World Heavyweight Championship tournament will begin next week. He then interviews one of the favorites for that tournament, Kurt Angle. Angle discusses not only the tournament, but also his match later tonight with Randy Savage. Angle says that while he respects Savage, he'll do whatever it takes to win, including breaking the Macho Man's ankle. Oh, it's damn true.

Cut to Joey Styles and John Bradshaw Layfield at ringside, who talk about not only Angle vs. Savage, but also the main event featuring Eddie Guerrero against Barry Windham in a two out of three falls encounter.

One fall with a 15-minute time limit: Mike Awesome vs. The Amazing Red

Certainly a clash of styles, as it's power vs. speed. Red has control for the opening couple of minutes, but once he's caught, Awesome uses his power to dominate the match, and Red is being thrown around like a basketball. Awesome dumps Red to the arena floor and begins to celebrate. Red climbs back onto the apron, and he sunsets flips Awesome from the apron for the surprise pin at 9:43.

Maria is backstage interviewing The Rock 'n' Roll Express...Ricky Morton and Stevie Richards. They discuss the intense training they've been doing in preparation for their opportunity at the ECP World Tag Team Championship.

One fall with a 15-minute time limit: "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Kurt Angle

Savage attacks Angle before the bell, but Angle quickly gets control and suplexes Savage out of his shoes, forcing Savage to roll out of the ring. The bell immediately rings, and security is quickly there to separate the two combatants and drag Savage away from ringside. Angle is announced as the winner via disqualification (JBL: "You can't disqualify Savage when the bell never rang!"), and a substitute opponent is quickly named.

Kurt Angle vs. Paul Roma

Angle wastes absolutely no time, hitting an Angle Slam for the pin in just 22 seconds. Almost immediately, Savage tries to make his way to the ring and is stopped by security. Joey Styles makes his way over to Savage, who cuts an extended promo about wanting to settle the score with Angle. He also notices that "If the bell rang, then they need a bell I can actually hear, dig it?"

Coach is backstage interviewing the tag team of Kensuke Sasaki and Tajiri, managed by Paul Heyman. Heyman vows to make the tag team championships their priority, but they especially want to keep a close eye on the Rock 'n' Roll Express, who happen to be competing in the next match.

One fall with a 15-minute time limit: The Rock 'n' Roll Express vs. Evan Karagias & Lance Cade

A short but fast-paced contest, ending in just 4:10 when Ricky Morton pins Evan Karagias following the double dropkick. A disgusted Cade levels Karagias with a lariat after the match and storms off.

Maria is backstage interviewing Booker T. Booker T has just found out he's scheduled to be in an 8-man ladder match next week to crown the first ECP TV Champion, and he plans to represent FX and all of TV Land. Now can you dig that, sucka?

One fall with a 15-minute time limit: Tajiri (w/Kensuke Sasaki & Paul Heyman) vs. Shelton Benjamin

An even match in the early going. Paul Heyman hops onto the ring apron to distract referee Jack Doan, enabling Tajiri to spray Shelton Benjamin with the green mist. Doan turns around and sees the green on Benjamin's face, calling for the bell and the DQ at 2:58 despite not seeing the actual infraction. EMTs immediately attend to Benjamin as JBL interviews Heyman and his men at ringside, disputing the decision as Doan couldn't have possibly seen anything without his bifocals.

Joey Styles and John "Bradshaw" Layfield run down the eight competitors in next week's TV Title Ladder Match:

Booker T

Rey Mysterio Jr.

Alex Shelley

Owen Hart

Dynamite Kid

Chris Sabin

Amazing Red

Marty Jannetty

They also announce the first match in the World Title tournament will be next week, with full brackets being announced at that time.

Two out of Three Falls with a one hour time limit: Eddie Guerrero vs. Barry Windham

FIRST FALL: Feeling out process to start. Some solid wrestling, with each man choosing to wear their opponent down. Guerrero takes offense to referee Tommy Young not falling for his illegal tactics, and as a result the match remains clean for the majority of the fall. Eddie finally begs off when Windham has control, then uses leverage to dump Windham down hard to the concrete floor. Windham makes his way back in, but he's favoring his ribs, which remain a target for Guerrero for the remainder of the fall. Windham makes a couple of failed comeback attempts, but Eddie wins the fall with a Frog Splash in 31:02.

Between falls, Lance Cade bumps into Stan Hansen backstage. Hansen likes the way Cade took care of business on Evan Karagias, and he suggests forming a partnership.

SECOND FALL: The fall is completely dominated by Guerrero. Sensing Windham's ribs are completely shot, Guerrero climbs to the top rope for another frog splash and celebrates to the crowd. The celebration allows Windham to climb up and meet Eddie on the top rope, and Windham gets the superplex in for the pin at 39:21 to even the match, but Windham's ribs are worse for wear.

Between falls, Evan Karagias challenges Lance Cade and Stan Hansen to a tag team match next week, and he introduces his partner....

VADER!

THIRD FALL: Windham takes control for a few minutes, but one solid kick to the ribs changes the momentum. After a series of solid moves that target the ribs, Guerrero nearly gets a submission with the Lasso from El Paso, but Windham just manages to make his way to the ropes. Guerrero celebrates, but Tommy Young lowers his arms. As Guerrero complains, Windham takes him down from behind with a bulldog headlock. Wndham crawls into a cover, but the bell rings, signifying a time-limit draw.

The show ends with a old school promo montage. The Powers of Pain (w/manager Bobby Heenan) vowing to win the tag team championship. Madusa (w/bodyguard Nicole Bass) challenging Gail Kim. Promos from Roddy Piper, Raven, and Rick Martel about the World Title tournament. Gail Kim accepting the challenge of Madusa. The show goes off the air with Ken Shamrock not only vowing to win the World Title, but threatening to sue Kurt Angle, claiming he copyrighted the ankle lock.

Confirmed for next week:

Evan Karagias/Vader vs. Lance Cade/Stan Hansen

Madusa vs. Gail Kim

Ladder Match for the TV Title: Booker T, Rey Mysterio Jr., Alex Shelley, Owen Hart, Dynamite Kid, Chris Sabin, Amazing Red, and Marty Jannetty

Plus the beginning of the World Title tournament

Stevie told them to relax and that this stuff happens all the time. He said what they need is a plan. The three decide that the best way to get on TV is to hang out with someone popular. Stevie said that's a great idea...and that's the only reason why he gets screen time. Shelley also mentions that they are all big in Hong Kong.

The match starts with a handshake. Styles talks about how great Angle is, with his great career and the fact that he's a great person in the community. JBL isn't impressed. Angle wins with Angle Slam. WINNER: KURT ANGLE

SEGMENT: Bobby Heenan is backstage talking to a group of wrestlers. He said that ECP is the future of the business and that if they want to get ahead, they will need representation. Heenan goes over why they should go with him due to all his experience. They said if they don't go with him then they might as well go with Heyman, but chances are they won't get paid as much. He says the men's room is that way.

They're drinking and being loud, thanking Tajiri for his goodwork forging those Paul Roma autographs. Cade says that its such a good idea it's like printing their own money. Evan Karagias comes up and looks at the stuff on the table. Dustin tries selling him some gold face paint. Lance tries selling him some cowboy chaps. Dustin says that's really gay of him to even have those. Karagias gets mad, as he points out that they're trying to sell his laptop. Cade says that it's their's fair and square. Coach gets in front of the camera, saying this is exactly what they're talking about.

MATCH: FINLAY VS. TERRY GORDY

Very stiff match, with the two beating the hell out of each other. Finlay tries to belly-to-belly Gordy, who blocks it and hits the powerbomb for the win. WINNER: TERRY GORDY

SEGMENT: Interviewer Maria is backstage with Ricky Morton and Marty Jannetty, who've decided to enter ECP as a tag team. Ricky explains that the two ran into each other at a Def Lepard show and decided that they should go on a reunion tour. Maria says that they've never teamed together. Marty says she's stupid, and that they brought together the best part, since their partners ran off to find God or get their lazy eye fixed; now that they're together they will win the titles and be the cock of the walk. Ricky asks Maria if she likes cock, and she says that she's afraid of chickens. Maria says she has one serious question to Ricky..."are you my father?" Ricky says he gets that all the time and anything's possible...the eighties are a blur to him. Matry says they've partied so much they don't remember anything before 1997.

MATCH: RODDY PIPER VS. RICK MARTEL

The crowd is very into Roddy, which JBL says is ridiculous. Roddy keeps cheating, which gets cheers from the crowd. Roddy wins with a pin where he has his feet on the ropes. WINNER: RODDY PIPER

SEGMENT: Rey Mysterio and Amazing Red are backstage talking. Red said it's a pleasure to meet Rey and what an influence he is. Eddie Guerrero walks over and starts laughing at Red, and Rey joins him. They chastize him saying that he will never be in their league, as they've beaten the best. Eddie mocks his ring wear. Dynamite Kid comes over, telling Red to not worry about them; it wasn't too long ago they were sucking up to every veteran in the back. He calls them both trash and says that they've never given anything back to the business. Rey calls Dynamite Kid a has been. Dynamite challenges them for a match in the Tag Tournament, with his partner being Red.

MATCH: BOOKER T. VS. STAN HANSEN

Hansen comes to the ring, and streamers are thrown from the crowd. Styles mentions that is done in Japan as a sign of respect for ring legends. Hansen gets on the mic and says that he's wrestled all over the world three times over, and Philly is still the worst place. He makes fun of the fans and announces that tonight he's giving his cowboy hat to one of the fans...who happens to be JBL. Slow brawling match, with Hansen hitting the lariat out of nowhere. WINNER: STAN HANSEN

MATCH: KENSUKE SASAKI VS. RANDY SAVAGE

Styles and JBL go over both men's achievements. Lots of back and forth, until Savage misses the Macho Elbow. Sasaki tries to set up a top rope powerbomb, gets blocked. Macho pushes him off and gets the Macho Elbow. WINNER: RANDY SAVAGE

After the match, Savage is clutching his ribs and shakes Sasaki's hand, who doesn't let go. Sasaki pulls him in for a Northern Lights Bomb. Owen and Heyman come out and join him with the stomping on Savage. The refs come and break it up, with the three standing outside of the ring with their hands raised.

Styles and JBL go over a rundown of the second round of the title tournament. Owen, Angle, Vader, Awesome, Piper, Hansen and Savage, if he's not injured, advance. JBL says the Lethal Lottery rules are in effect, so none of them know who their opponent will be. Styles mentions that the Tag Team Title tournament begins, with Guerrero/Mysterio, Red/Dynamite, the Rockandrollers Morton and Janetty and Sabin/Shelley/Stevie. JBL says those three are morons but he's sure their up to something. Styles says thank you and good night.

I think it's under the assumption that this is in some alternate universe and everybody is in their 'prime', although I guess you can make them any age you want.

EDIT: Yeah, seems like anything you want. Clearly most are 'in their prime' but it seems like most of us are using Morton and Jannetty as washed-up veterans.

As far as age, I'm using the old Marvel/DC approach, where the oldest event happened 10 years ago.

I do think it's funny that everyone is using Morton/Marty as washed up veterans.

OK, we're going to pick up this week where...King Cucaracha's show left off. For the newcomers to the thread, each week I'll pick what show to build off of, so he's got the honor of being the first one.

Now, here's where things get interesting. Each week after I pick the show to build off of, I leave you with some directives for the next show. Some make sense, some don't, but it all makes for a good read.

So, without further adeu...

Dynamite Kid's partner must be picked from the following few names: Giant Gonzalez, Paul Roma, Booker T., Terry Taylor

Raven must add a new member to his Lost Souls group by the end of the show (someone off the list of names given to you)

Guerrero and Mysterio must win their match by DQ when a team not involved in the tournament jumps them (but it has to be two names on the list of names given to you)

Kurt Angle and Shelton Benjamin have a rematch

Other than the Guerrero/Mysterio match, only one other match can have some sort of interference

ELITE COMBAT PROJECT

Episode II

Joey Styles and John Bradshaw Layfield welcome us to the second show of the ECP era. Styles reveals that the World and TV titles will be won at ECP Initiation in a Fatal Fourway match. The winner will be World Champ and the runner-up will be TV champ. So far, nobody and clinched a birth, but after tonight, at least one spot should be filled.

1. Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes beat the Powers of Pain w/Heenan at 5:03 (*)

There was little technical wrestling here, the two teams preferring to brawl. Windham gets the pin after giving Barbarian a lariat.

Styles states that The TWC will meet the winner of tonight’s Guerrero/Mysterio vs. Piper/O’Haire match in the next round. JBL is sure that two big tough red-blooded Texans can easily defeat two fence-jumpers or a limey and whatever O’Haire is.

Kurt Angle and Paul Heyman call last week’s match a fluke. Kurt reminds his opponent that he’s still the teacher and Shelton had an important lesson to learn: Don’t piss off Kurt freaking Angle!

Heyman tells Shamrock to go back to his mma bullshit and leave professional wrestling to real athletes.

2. Davey Boy Smith & Owen Hart defeated Marty Janetty and Ricky Morton at 5:15 (**)

Ricky Morton spends a great deal of the match in the wrong corner getting creamed. Finally, he makes it across the ring, and tags Marty. Unfortunately, Jack Doan misses this, and sends Janetty back out. He doesn’t miss Owen tagging in Smith though, and Smith wins with a running powerslam.

Janetty and Morton walk dejectedly to the back where they’re confronted by Raven. He tells them that he’s found another “lost soul”: “Prime Time” Brian Lee.

3. Madusa beat Gail Kim at 4:23 (*)

Madusa pins Gail with a Bridging German Suplex. Afterwards, she puts herself over and demands some real competition. Kim challenges her to a rematch, which is only accepted when she agrees to a stipulation that she gets her head shaven if she loses again.

Maria is backstage with Randy Savage, who states that anyone with half a brain knows that he’s the real champion. He deserved to be in the fourway the most, and if he doesn’t get in, there will be hell to pay. Macho Man also needs a new valet, and Maria is looking awfully good. When he won’t take no for an answer, Booker T comes to the rescue. Savage tells Booker that he made a big mistake.

4. Shelton Benjamin defeated Kurt Angle w/ Paul Heyman at 11:18 (**½)

After another tough fight, Angle resorts to cheating by nailing Shelton with Heyman’s old-school cell phone. However, Ken Shamrock comes out and informs Earl Hebner of what happened. After checking the tape, the ref awards Benjamin the match by DQ.

Mike Awesome, New Jack, Tajiri, Little Guido, and Stevie Richards are hanging out in the locker room discussing ECW and who is owed the most $. Finlay walks in and tells them that ECW sucked and he is more hardcore than any of them. He challenges any one of them to prove him wrong. Except for Tajiri, because he already kicked his ass.

5. Randy Savage beat Brad Armstrong in 2:14 (½*)

This is a basic squash, with Macho Man winning with the flying elbow. After the pin, Savage doesn’t let up, dropping more elbows. Finally, Booker T runs out and brawls with him, allowing Brad to escape.

Jonathan Coachman is backstage with Dynamite Kid, who promises a big surprise. Giant Gonzalez lurches into view, ruining it.

An irate Heyman challenges Benjamin and Shamrock to a tag match against Angle and a partner of his choosing.

Styles informs the audience that the ECP Board have officially added Shelton to the fourway.

6. The Motor City Machine Guns defeat Dynamite Kid & Giant Gonzalez at 2:38 (½*)

What starts off as a promising matchup turns into a disaster when Gonzalez gets knocked out of the ring and is unable to get up and back in on time. Owen and Davey watch backstage and laugh.

Maria interviews Roddy Piper and Sean O’Haire. Piper admits that his opponents got the best of him last week, but he and Sean have worked hard this week and they won’t get beaten quite so easily. Roddy scolds Sean for staring at Maria’s chest and tells him to stay focused.

Eddie and Rey are in the back warming up. Nicole Bass interrupts them to offer them her “services.” They politely turn her down, but she won’t give up that easily.

7. Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio defeat Roddy Piper and Sean O’Haire at 9:20 (**)

As Rey and Eddie seem to have the match in hand, Stan Hansen and Lance Cade attack them, causing Tommy Young to award them the victory by DQ. Piper and O’Haire confront the Texans and get attacked as well. Windham and Rhodes join in the assault. Vader and Terry Gordy make the save.

Next Week:

Tag Team Tournament Semifinals

Eddie Guerrerro & Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Barry Windham & Dustin Rhodes

The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) vs. Davey Boy Smith & Owen Hart

Gail Kim vs. Madusa

(If GK loses, she gets her head shaven)

Ken Shamrock & Shelton Benjamin vs. Kurt Angle & ?

Hardcore match: Finlay vs. an ECW alumni

At ECP Initiation:

Only one of you guys did a show this week? For SHAME.

I tried, I just couldn't get anything going off of somebody else's ideas. Doubtful I could work in a creative team.

Alright, since Richard was the only one who did the second show, we're building off his. Now in a twist, since a lot of people had trouble with show #2, we're going to use what Richard had planned for his next show:

Tag Team Tournament Semifinals

Eddie Guerrerro & Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Barry Windham & Dustin Rhodes

The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) vs. Davey Boy Smith & Owen Hart

Gail Kim vs. Madusa

(If GK loses, she gets her head shaven)

Ken Shamrock & Shelton Benjamin vs. Kurt Angle & ?

Hardcore match: Finlay vs. an ECW alumni

At ECP Initiation:

Fatal Four Way Elimination Match

(winner gets ECP World Heavyweight title, last eliminated gets ECP Television title)

Shelton Benjamin vs. ? vs. ? vs ?

Now that you've got some sort of format/idea, here's the rules for this show:

Kurt Angle's partner must be one of the following DEBUTING Talents, and from this point on will be managed by Paul Heyman:

Doug Basham, Kwee Wee, Hakushi or Johnny Ace

One of the ECW alumni will help Finlay win, and turn on his ECW allies.

WACKY BACKSTAGE SKIT~! involving Dynamite Kid, Giant Gonzalez, Maria, Evan Karagias and a bottle of Gatorade.

Begin either an alliance or a feud between Terry Taylor and Lance Cade
