Is Trick Or Treating on Saturday Or Sunday In Your

Recommended Posts

Ok since Halloween is on Sunday alot of religious have been up in arms about trick or treating on the "holy day" because of the satanic background in Halloween. Never mind that fact that most kids don't know or could care less about that stuff, all they went is candy and to dress up. So, I know in alot of cities because of this they've moved tricking or treating to Saturday or, in some cases, Friday night.

So what day are they doing Halloween in your city. Here it's on Sunday and there is no time limit. And some cities close by up in KY one has it on Saturday and another has it tonight and they only have it for 2 or 3 hours at best.

Either/or here in the Valley. The LDS kids will be doing it on Saturday, and then the human children will be doing it on Sunday.

Most every place in The Valley is having Trick-or-Treating on Sunday. I know it's from 6:30-7:30 here in Wheeling. Bellaire, OH is the only place I know of doing it on Saturday. At least that's what I was told.

I find it very weird that you guys have time slots for it.

Anyways, for the Okotokian kids, it is Sunday night. Most kids start around 5:00 or so and the teenager losers who don't even dress up and thus don't get candy from me because they are such douches stop straggling in at around 9:30.

I don't get why people wouldn't have it on Sunday. So school's the next day, big deal? It's over by like 8 these days, anyway. I don't see how having it on Saturday is much smart. Yeah, let's have kids out trick or treating on Devil's Night!

It's on Sunday here, but I think the times are ungodly early in the day, which to me, defeats the purpose of Halloween being 'spooky' for the little worm babies. It's not scary at 3 PM. (Last year I believe it was 2-6)

I hope it's later so we'll miss them because we'll be watching "Saw", but it'll probably be early this year too. Guess I'll have to buy some crappy candy to keep those little ingrates away from our house next year, heh, heh.

Yeah never mind the fact that Halloween was originally a PAGAN not Satanic holiday.. Two different things...

Of course people don't realize this.

I live in Australia. We tell kids who come trick-or-treating to bugger off. It's not a holiday we recognise, we usually don't have anything to give them, and why should they celebrate a holiday that isn't in our tradition? We don't celebrate July 4th. Idiot kids.

Yeah I know it's different. I'm just saying what all the religious people say it about it being the devil's day and all.
