alfdogg Posted November 5, 2004 Author Report Posted November 5, 2004 I'd like to just once see K-Mart shove someone that's his size and see what happens. It's easy to be an "enforcer" when all you do is pick on the guards.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 dude K-Mart is so fugazi. did i spell that right?
nogoodnick Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 The shot clock behind one of the baskets is not going to be working tonight in Memphis. The Grizzlies are playing the Rockets with no shot clock on the home side. I don't how a professional basketball team can be that dumb that they dont have a way of fixing it or having a backup.. The godamn refs have to announce the countdown.
The Czech Republic Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Does the ref have to say "AHHHHHHHHHHK!" on a shot clock violation?
The Czech Republic Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 The color commentator sounds a little like Ric Flair at times
Cuban Linx Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 The Bulls suck even more than i remembered, down by almost 30 to the damn Nets and it's only half way though the second quarter.
The Czech Republic Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Through thick and thin! Through thick and thin, THICK. AND. THIN. Shoot me
The Electrifyer Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Toronto is once again doing there beginning of the season surge by now beating Detroit as well as Houston the other day. I was shocked to see them break the 100 point mark though, even without Larry Brown I thought Detroit's D could hold them to below 100.
alfdogg Posted November 6, 2004 Author Report Posted November 6, 2004 Pacers 2-0 after a win in Boston, Artest gets 28, and Jermaine O'Neal makes an unexpected return to score 19.
alfdogg Posted November 6, 2004 Author Report Posted November 6, 2004 That Bulls-Nets game is going to OT now, btw.
nogoodnick Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Jefferson just had 26, 21 rebs, 9 ast in a 2 ot win over the Bulls. Not to be out done Kirk Hinrich chipped in with 34 and 8 ast. Theo Ratliff has 9 blocks in 21 minutes. Def POY right there.
Dangerous A Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 I have the NBA League Pass and let me tell you, if you like NBA hoops, it's fucking awesome. Since I get to sample quite a bit of game action, I must say that the games this season, for the most part, have been a lot more uptempo than previous years. Just my $.02
MrRant Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Then I demand you suffer through Atlanta vs. Seattle with me.
alfdogg Posted November 6, 2004 Author Report Posted November 6, 2004 Man, you can tell Odom's a Laker now, that guy whines every time a call goes against him.
alfdogg Posted November 6, 2004 Author Report Posted November 6, 2004 MANU~ Bet they missed Shaq on that play...
alfdogg Posted November 6, 2004 Author Report Posted November 6, 2004 Then Kobe tried to 1-up him and got packed by Rasho.
MrRant Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 But will ESPN show the stuffing in the highlight reel?
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Well that was a nice attempt at a comeback by the Lakers, although we got to see the old fighting through double teams, fuck passing it to the outside Kobe again. If the Spurs were that good a team, they wouldn't have squandered an 18 point lead that quickly, and had it not been for some great offensive rebounding and other guys on the court getting open for Kobe to pas the ball to, we might have seen a different outcome. Hell of a game for Parker. I think this Laker team is going to take a little while to gel, but when it does, it will be dangerous. It'll also be interesting to see the impact Divac has on the team, since he's obviously not nearly as fast as the rest of the team and isn't suited for the new fullcourt fastbreak offense as well as Mihm. But will ESPN show the stuffing in the highlight reel? Of course they will. Hell they showed all of Kirilenko's blocks the night before. Contrary to popular blief, ESPN isn't THAT biased towards the Lakers. What fault do they have of being a perennial contender and thus being in the spotlight the whole time?
alfdogg Posted November 6, 2004 Author Report Posted November 6, 2004 That's laughable. The Spurs dominate the game for the last three quarters, then the Lakers go on a run that lasts about a couple minutes and suddenly the Spurs are "overrated." It's not like they were really in any jeopardy of losing the lead, the smallest deficit was 6 points after the first quarter. Besides, the Lakers are still a good team, I'm not denying them that. It's not as if the Warriors or the Bulls or somebody are coming back on them.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 I don't think the Spurs are any better or worse a team than they've been the past couple of years. Which isn't to say that they're over or underrated, since they're still essentially the same team that won the `03 championship but now with Brent Barry to help out as well. I think had they just gone up and denied San Antonio those offensive rebounds towards the end of the 4th quarter LA would have won. The momentum was in their favor and they were playing in front of a good crowd last night. Eh, the Utah game was much worse.
mike546 Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 I know its only the 2nd game of the season, but the Knicks sure do look like shit.
Brett Favre Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 I'm about to cry. Boston won't stop beating us. First Red Sox, Pats, Boston College beat Notre Dame (probably means New York in Irish), and now this. It's like bizarro world!
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 see the Yankees have spoiled you. If you think the Knicks can win 30 games you're smoking rocks.
Brett Favre Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 see the Yankees have spoiled you. If you think the Knicks can win 30 games you're smoking rocks. They did win 39 last year. I expect them to win 40.
mike546 Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Sweetney and Ariza officially need to start. Atleast they try.
Brett Favre Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Well, I wouldn't be against it. Tim Thomas is one lazy ass mofo.
mike546 Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Somewhere, in Milwaukee, Keith Van Horn is laughing.
alfdogg Posted November 7, 2004 Author Report Posted November 7, 2004 see the Yankees have spoiled you. If you think the Knicks can win 30 games you're smoking rocks. Feel free to actually defend your claim, if you can. Pacers just went to 3-0 with a win over the Bulls. I only caught the last minute or so of it because I was at work, but Stephen Jackson led the charge tonight with 24 and O'Neal came off the bench with a double-double. Hey, maybe JO will win 6th man of the year!
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Wait a minute... O'Neal isn't starting for Indiana..?!
