I sympathize that you're upset about Bush winning, but please, all of you Democrats who are acting like this: learn to lose GRACEFULLY.

THAT is the way you earn respect from us cold-hearted 'pubs.

Not by whining like children.

I thought whining was an established part of the political process, though?

Y'know, mixed in there with all those lies about what good they'll do for the country if elected, dodging issues, and accepting large sums of money from corporations?

All I know is that this election is going to cause people to get even more radical. The party is going to pull back to center to attract the rural vote, and people are going to splinter off and get even more radical.

There's a strong movement on the West Coast to revive the Panther Party.

Jesus... MORE people who can't get out of the goddamn 1960s...

These people don't seem to realize that they caused the schizm within the Democratic party in 1968 which ended up giving the entire South to the Republicans.

Oh, the system worked. The public has spoken. I won't deny that. I'll just admit that I'm disgusted with the populace. I'll tolerate it because I have no choice, but I won't like it.

If we can get through the next four years without overturning Roe v. Wade, getting attacked again, invading another country for false reasons or shipping gay people off to an island, I guess I can deal.

MAN.

No child left behind, after all. You talk about this like it's a game of Gin Rummy when there's a little bit more at stake than that. On issues abroad, I actually think we'll be fine over time and I'm not really concerned about my safety, and haven't been since we invaded Afghanistan. On domestic issues, things are about to get mighty ugly.

Bush is up 11,000 in Iowa with 94% reporting.

Every time I refresh it, Bush's lead grows by a few thousand.

As great as Obama is he'll never win. America won't vote a black man into office.

No, they wouldn't vote a Democrat black man into the presidency...

Colin Powell or Condoleeza Rice would be likely to pull Republican support and possibly get crossover support if people would stop the "Uncle Tom" and "House n!gger" shit they've subjected the two of them to for being Republicans instead of Democrats.

Then the left IS brain-dead. Going radical for the past 4 years hasn't really worked out too well. 2002 and 2004 should've shown that.

Man I wish there was a camera on Mikey Moore right now.....

I'm glad there is not.

I think we will - but not for a while. It'll probably be a dozen years or so.

Cross your fingers for 2016.

Does the fact that nine of 11 states passed bans on same-sex marriages shock anyone here?

I'm shocked my jack-off state wasn't in on that.

Powell - like Deon mentioned.

But that's it.

That's a whole different thing than being voted into the presidency.

Wait - wasn't BBC doing election coverage with Moore as one of the commentators?

Man.......that almost makes me want to watch the BBC.

Almost. But let's not get crazy.

Bush is up by 35,000 in New Mexico with 93% reporting, but no one will call the state.

I think everyone's gunshy of possible lawsuits for denigrating Kerry's presidential ambitions.

It's not melodrama at all. It's a very real, very dangerous fear that I'm going to be denied equal rights because of my sexuality, that women I care about deeply are going to have their rights taken away, that jobs will continue to be shipped overseas without consequence, that more troops will die and that patients are going to be left with no rights to sue in the event of malpractice. Those are just a few of my concerns. I would rather be proven wrong about my fears than have them happen just to be right, but I'll admit that I'm worried.

It's easy for the rest of you to write it off as melodrama. You won. Gays, women and the working class lost.

yay! another 4yrs of thinly vieled racism and blatant homophobia.

Well, to answer you --- yes, you're a jackoff.

The more the world bitches, the more we'll rally around Bush. Sorry, kids.

Well, Kerry isn't going to concede for a while, but I think it's pretty much over, even if it takes a week or two.

I voted for Kerry and hoped he would win. Doesn't look like he's going to. I don't know what's going to happen with our country in the next four years, but President Bush has a big job ahead of him on a ton of different fronts. There are a lot of people out there hurting, and I really hope under his leadership America can improve in the next four years.

Cheers, everybody. It's going to be interesting to say the very least.

Okay, question time again - let's assume Bush wins Ohio with over 100k votes.....enough so that the "provisional ballots" the Dems are hanging all of their hopes on are meaningless.

How much damage will Kerry be doing the Democratic party if he refuses to concede and subsequently drags the country through another month-long court battle?
