this was a little scary to me, in that it involved someone from my school coming to the city i currently live in. strange to think that while i was watching a movie with my friends at union square, there was another guy from the city i'd just come from a couple months ago, rotting in a construction area just a few miles away.

 

very strange. just one of those things.

For some reason, it's become customary to lump a left-wing whacko with every other liberal in the country. That would be like taking the rather racist viewpoints of Strom Thurmond or the thus-far insane policies of Tom Coburn, and lumping the entire Republican party, and its supporters, with that particular person. It's absurd! Yet, for some, this man's stupid reaction just a "typical liberal response."

 

Stop trying to look for a connection that isn't there. No one supports this guy. Not conservatives. Not liberals. He's just another douche that society can cross off its list.

Oh this isn't typical at all. Most liberals I've seen have told me they're leaving the country or protesting in Washington, but don't do shit.

This is what I'm talking about. Don't lump every liberal with this guy. Don't lump every liberal with those that threaten to leave the country. Don't lump every liberal with those that vow to protest in Washington. These people are the VOCAL ones - they don't represent the majority. Most of the liberals in this country are willing to move on, albeit unhappy with the election and possibly somewhat bitter at President Bush. They don't say or do some of the absurd things you, and some others around here, are generalizing with every liberal.

 

There are assholes on the left-wing side of politics, just as there are assholes on the right-wing side. We recognize this and move on. To pretend as if one psycho represents everybody is not only ridiculous but just plain wrong.

If he really was an independent, then he would have shot a Bush voter. If he claimed to be an independent, then he was one of those "Mikey Moore Independents" better known as a IINO.

There are a number of libs on here, but like in real life, the Conservative Brigade here is better organized and stuff...

You think maybe Mary Anne hated the results of the election too? I mean come on, she sounds like she is praising a comrade for his sacrifice to the cause. Jeez! Perhaps he was sick-and-tired of hearing the bile coming out of her mouth.

 

If it were someone I worked with, I would have praise him on what a good guy he was, not try to spin this for political reasons.

Very stupid move, and I can't bring myself to have sympathy for him. I do think pissing on his grave is overreacting, but it doesn't surprise me coming from conservative extremists.
