Gary Floyd Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Just saw it. Loved it. Anyone else seen it? If so, what did you think?
Hank Kingsley Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Oh man. Fabulous. Tobias in the Blue Man Group and the Michael Moore parody were equally delicious. And good to see the Fonz stick around, too.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 The moore bit was indeed fantastic. The rest of the show was clicking.
DerangedHermit Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 The Mikey Moore thing is awesome..."Mom enlisted me for the Army because that fat man dared her to" I also liked the running gag of tackling Oscar
razazteca Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 The twin swerve by the father to get the Hussian Palace contract and the getaway plane truck was funny.
bob_barron Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 The rape joke at the beginning was priceless. Ian Roberts was hilarious as the doc
DerangedHermit Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Ian Roberts was hilarious as the doc "He looks dead"
treble Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 'What were the last words he said?' 'I just blue myself'
Boner Kawanger Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Spectacular. "Half of it was in English! The other half was in squiggly!" "Suddam!" "Hussein!"
Placebo Effect Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Fucking brilliant. Best show on television.
razazteca Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Best show on FOX but not network tv since Scrubs is the best damn sitcom on tv period.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 I dont watch the show, but its a good thing the show won an Emmy, since Fox has a habit of cancelling shows people like in preference of their crappy reality shows.
2GOLD Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 Made up for the painfully unfunny Simpsons episode before it.
Ted the Poster Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 I agree. That was the worst Treehouse episode ever. Halloween is about horror, not scfi goddammit.
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 I dont watch the show, but its a good thing the show won an Emmy, since Fox has a habit of cancelling shows people like in preference of their crappy reality shows. Actually, the Head Execs of Fox had a huge hard on for this since they got the pilot. They think they finally got their 'seinfeld" here, show that gets quiet critcal praise but not so much ratings greatness and just grows rapidly.
Downhome Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 I love this show so much. It's tied with Scrubs for me right now for "best damn show on TV". Every episode of AD has multiple quoteable lines, it's fantastic. "It turns out, it was George who took wig." "I just blue myself." "There's gotta be a better way to say that." "NO TOUCHING!" "What was the last thing he said?" "I just blue myself." "What are you doing with my rape horn!?" "Yeah...like anyone would want to R her!" "It looks like he's dead." "Now let's be clear, is he dead or does he just look like he's dead" "It looks like he's dead; he's got blue paint all over him." "I'll leave you to celebrate in peace." Then just so many other great moments overall. Like when Gob had the $100 bill and turns it into 100 pennies, then having a line about Gob already costing the company $99. I can't remember another TV that packs to much classic comedy into 21 mintues as this one does. It's unreal how they do it really. Check out the ratings for the first episode of the season, from TVTome. Watch anything good on TV last night? Rate last night's new episodes. Highest rated new episodes for 11/8/2004. American Dreams What Dreams May Come Rating: 8.07 Arrested Development The One Where Michael Leaves (2) Rating: 8.05 Desperate Housewives Running to Stand Still Rating: 7.91 Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Vardon Family (2) Rating: 7.33 The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror XV Rating: 7.27
Hank Kingsley Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 And every time Oscar was tackled by the police, there's one cop that comes in late, hits Oscar with his nightstick, and screams "Yeah!" Best show EVER~
Hank Kingsley Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Another great episode tonight. I loved the callback to the Cornballer, and the Mexicans getting revenge on George Sr. And Oscar's blue-out...oh man, that was beautiful. I can't wait to see Buster in Iraq if they go through with that.
razazteca Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I bet Bin Ladin is hiding out in one of the Bluth's houses in the Middle East.
DMann2003 Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Man this show has lost none of it's great wit and writing...I love it
Boner Kawanger Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I bought the DVD and came home in time to see a terrible Simpsons. Thank God for this show.
The Czech Republic Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Yeah that Simpsons was baaad. I can't stand Lisa at all.
Boner Kawanger Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 You know what really makes The Simpsons bad? I spent the whole weekend watching my season 4 DVD. So is George Sr. really dead? Or will we get a twist? Either way, I loved the suddeness of it. This show is perfect. We all know Arrested Development will be cancelled by May, right?
Guest The Shadow Behind You Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Why is this show still on the air? It doesn't deserve to be on the air. Not with the current simpsons and reality tv shows. It deserves something better.
Guest El Satanico Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I enjoyed this weeks Simpsons, so blah to you "it's not as good as it was during it's prime" whiners. Why you people continue to watch despite knowing you won't like it, I will never know. If you don't like the current show, then stop whining and quit watching.
Boner Kawanger Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 EDIT You typed in EDIT as soon as I clicked "Quote", so I'm going to assume you know why I assume what I put in that spoiler box. Seriously, when I was reading the topic, you had asked me the question, and when I got to the reply page, it said EDIT. Weird. I love it. As for why I watch The Simpsons, I hold out hope that it will be good, since it is one of my favorite shows of all time. I never "know" that I'm not going to like it because I used to like it. In fact, I have about forty VHS tapes and four DVD sets that say I used to like it.
