Hogan vs Savage : Big Nasty Rumor

A story is going around backstage in TNA regarding why Randy Savage no-showed the Impact taping on Tuesday. The story has it that Hulk Hogan called Savage on Monday and told him that there is no point in him coming to TNA because he, Goldberg, and Steve Austin are coming in and will take the top spots. Make of that story what you will.

>>>Bullshit. Austin would fuck a horse before he worked for Jarrett.

Money talks and bullshit walks!!!!!

He's DDP roomate so I'm sure DDP can get Austin and Jarrett closer.

I mean Piper went back to Vince in 2003

Can anyone feel me in on the Jarrett and Austin dislike?

Which, as Meltzer has said, everyone in the company agreed with at the time, because it was obvious Jarrett wasn't over enough to be doing a main event program and it was a power play from Vince Russo to get his buddy a top spot. Austin and Jarrett's problems date back to the early 90s when Austin worked for the Jarretts in the USWA, but I'm not quite sure what the nature of the problems was. He supposedly doesn't like to talk about that point in his career at all.

As for Hogan, we should all know by now that everything that comes out of Hogan's mouth is garbage. He's working Savage, obviously, which is probably part of the reason he's so paranoid.

When Austin got an unusually lower payoff than normal from Jerry Jarrett, Jeff Jarrett walked by Austin, and saw him looking at his check, and said (mind you as the promoter's son) "doesn't get any bigger if you stare at it." That was it for their relationship.

Yes and Austin was jealous cause Debra was Jarrett's manager.

Austin 3:6 Beers said that Jarrett didnt hit the ropes hard enough wrestled like a wuss and didnt have a good finisher. (figure four leglock)

What does that have to do with anything? Austin and Debra got married in the Spring of 2000 when he was laid up at home with neck surgery.

Ignore the pleb. He adds nothing to the threads he's posted in lately.

Didnt Jarrett at some point in his comeback interviews (circa Aztec Jarrett) knock the whole Austin 3:16 thing as being blashphemous, pissing off Austin and his major cash cow?

If it was in character, then Austin has no real right to be pissed, unless it was in his "Shoot Interview" he did a week or two before IYH: DX. I honestly don't remember, sorry.

Off topic, but why do people stick Aztec (insert any other name here) to his name from his late 97-early 98 stint before becoming Double J again?

Posted

Because when he returned to WWF the first time he had this ridiculous white singlet outfit with what looked like an Aztec design on it. This was when he was part of the NWA angle on RAW.

Actually Austin wanted Debra when she was Jarrett`s manager

DX made fun of austin with a sign that read ``I want a bodascious blonde``

Um, actually Austin is an insanely jealous individual. And Jarett, Debra and Owen were all quite close, in a platonic way of course, IIRC.

Austin's beef with Debra being involved had nothing to do with jealousy. As he was together with Debra at the time, being in a program with Jarrett would have meant they couldn't be together most of the time, because they'd be against each other on television, and Austin didn't want to an angle that would interfere with his personal life.
