Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 yeah from SD. go to wwe.com and click on Show Injury and they show his ankle looks like a tennis ball.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 Ok... Even I'm wondering, is his ankle really that freaking big? Or did Angle accidently fuck up Show?
Guest Duncan Eternia Report post Posted November 13, 2004 Ouch....hopefully he is still good for the Series.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 Did Bob Holly do it?
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 Seems legit. If so, then I can't see how he can go at Survivor Series. Obviously, they can play it up in storyline which is a plus. But even then, it's going to be tough. How can an injured ankle support 500 pounds body weight properly?
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 They'll play up the injury, then either: a) They will find a replacement on Eddie's team (like Bob fucking Holly) or b) It will be 3 vs.
JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 Well Carlito's hurt too, so just make it 3-on-3.
Guest Chris2005 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 Did Bob Holly do it? Damn that is the question that popped into my head when I saw the subject title.
Sideburnious 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 Well Carlito's hurt too, so just make it 3-on-3. But then its not the classic 4-on-4 Survivor Series match
Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 13, 2004 Did Bob Holly do it? Damn that is the question that popped into my head when I saw the subject title. Too bad both are faces and unless Holly dropkicked Show in the foot, I don't think he did it. Besides, Holly only stiffs/injures "rookies".
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2004 but Big Show has only been in the business for about 8 years... he's not even close to being a veteran in Holly's eyes.
Guest Andrew J. Report post Posted November 14, 2004 Uh, this injury is obviously in kayfabe. Show's fine, the writers just need an excuse for him to not just totally dominate Angle's team.
The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 That's definitely NOT kayfabe...nobody's ankle should look like that under normal conditions
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 14, 2004 Well Carlito's hurt too, so just make it 3-on-3. But then its not the classic 4-on-4 Survivor Series match I'll find a way to cope.

cbacon 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 In kayfabe terms, Guerrero still has the better team.
Silence 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 Is it just me or has he become injury prone in the last couple of years? Steroids, maybe? Not saying he's on them for sure, but his upper body has become bigger in the last few years, I think.
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 Oh Geezus, I'm going to SurSer tomorrow and I'm not even pumped to go. I was looking forward to a WWE Title change but that doesn't look like that'll happen. Instead, I get one SS match where it's almost a sure bet HHH will prevail and the other will only have 6 healthy wrestlers. Oy! Well, I got Heidenreich to look forward to. Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 If it helps, in his latest update, Meltzer seems pretty sure that the Undertaker-Heidenrape program will get blown off at SS.
Guest Shutterspeed Report post Posted November 14, 2004 If Big Show isn't able to wrestle and Carlito is, 3-on-4, especially when Eddy's team has Cena and Angle's team is larger, with Zeus as a tool at ringside, would work because they could really be the faces in peril before their inevitable victory. Guest Shutterspeed Report post Posted November 14, 2004 I edited the post to make it more reader-friendly. I still can't see the heels as winning it. Even if they do lose, the feud can still carry on.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 Assuming Big Show isn't actually injured, but Carlito is: Why doesn't Jesus just wrestle for Carlito? First of all, Carlito looks like a wuss for ducking Cena, which can continue to program if they so desire. And Carlito doesn't get further injured. Also, this guy is pretty big. With Eddie's team giant "injured", the heels will look like monsters. The match could then go either way.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 14, 2004 I edited the post to make it more reader-friendly. I still can't see the heels as winning it. Even if they do lose, the feud can still carry on. If they do the 2 and a half men (Cena is "injured") beat five men, you make the four heels you are trying to build up (Jesus-Carlito-Jindrak-Luther) look real bad
Guest Shutterspeed Report post Posted November 14, 2004 Ok, so his name is Jesus. Gotcha. CC, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Jesus sucks as a wrestler. Furthermore, Cena's coming back down to Australia to film The Marine after the PPV. The main reason he went back to work the Survivor Series is because of what we're being led to believe that Carlito did to him. Even if the blame is trying to be placed on Jesus, Carlito had to have had something to do with it. AS, I see your point, but recently it's not like Luther and Jindrak at least have been being built-up to be unstoppable monsters. Add to that because Kurt Angle as the leader of this stable is more comedic than someone like Triple H of Evolution, Eddy's team could easily win. I doubt that Angle would be as egotistical over jobbing either, and it's not as if this will be the blow-off. I suppose you're right, it's possible that they could win. If they do though, it probably won't be via a clean victory. Same for the face team, on that note.

If they are trying to build this feud (maybe they're not, I don't know), they can't just have the payoff in a 4-on-4 match.

It can be argued that it's stupid, pointless and a waste of everyone's time to do the 4 on 4 match at all.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2004 Aren't we the cynical one.... It'll be a fun match, regardless of it's relevancy. And it does tie in a bunch of storylines. The only odd man out is RVD.
Guest Shutterspeed Report post Posted November 14, 2004 I'd say that they are trying to build, possibly towards WrestleMania. See, this won't be the blow-off - there are 7-8 other guys (presuming that noone will be sitting out) in the match too. They could run an angle where Carlito sees Cena and leaves, saving him working the match and preventing them from getting their hands on eachother just yet, on the assumption that Carlito did attack him and that Cena wouldn't go after him. As you can see, there are a lot of variables. Edit: RVD's always the odd man out, because he can draw at the top of the card but really doesn't belong there.
