Guest LooneyTune Report post Posted November 15, 2004 The Rumble has been predictable every year since 1999 (1997 if you think like Russo). That kinda makes it useless. No it doesn't. I match can be good even if you KNOW who's going to win. If not, why would you ever watch a match more than once? How come one person has to win the Rumble to get a WM Title shot, and the next month all someone has to do is simply win a regular match (or in last years case, just insult mexicans)? It makes it meaningless that 1 person has to win the rumble, and the other person can do nothing and get a title shot.
Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2004 Steve Keirn (or is it Kiern) is a road agent...I hope he doesn't come back, considering he's famous for being SKINNER (and that guy who teamed with Stan Lane) I forgot about that... Damn... on a side note... he came down to Memphis last week for a 6-man tag. Lawler & Rock n' Roll Express vs. Stan Lane & Steve Kiern (Fabulous Ones) and announcer COrey Maclin. Negative stars of course... Holy shit.......are you serious? Why not throw The Midnight Express and Freebirds in there also? yeah. Last month, they had Terry Funk, Kamala, Koko B. Ware, Grandmaster Sexay, Rikishi, Mordecai, King Mabel, and Lawler all on one show. THe main event was Terry Funk & Corey Maclin (They love main eventing shitty announcers in Memphis these days, this guy has no fucking talent) vs. Lawler and Jimmy Hart (yes, the vermin lives). Hell... if ya'll would want me too... I could recap Memphis wrestling every week for the hell of it. I didn't even know Koko B. Ware was still alive Sounds like some disgustingly horrible wrestling action Koko is running around shocking people with a tazer gun. He's actually not doing too bad. Kid Kash is there too... so there is something good at least. And Bill Dundee still wrestles here too... and by wrestles, I mean barely moves and lets the other person wrestle himself. I gotta recap this stuff one day.... next week... Muggy presents Memphis Wrestling.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2004 So, they build up Heidenreich just for him to lose cleanly in his 1st PPV match? Well it is Undertaker. Come on now.

Guest The Shadow Behind You Report post Posted November 15, 2004 I propose they stay, if the writers know how to fucking book them. I say let RAW keep them and not Smackdown, considering two years straight the SD one has sucked balls or was super rushed. Both shows did the same thing 1. Pick eight or ten random people, some of which have no issue whatsoever 2. Align them along heel and face lines, some creating absurdly stupid teams. 3. In the case of Raw, add a stupid ass stipulation to get people to care at all. Except the people on RAW were aligned and DID have an issue. Not until the build had already started. Orton, Jericho, benoit and Maven (ugh) had absolutely nothing to do with each other until a week before the match was made. Ditto Evolution and Edge or Snitsky for two weeks; The faces were putting pressure on HHH and Evolution, So there's the alliance they had. The only unaligned person is Snitsky, and his presence was explained by Bischoff.

And as we all know that's supposed to be the 'most special thing ever' to any wrestler...so yea. Even though...then you have guys like HBK who did nothing, and just sort of put himself in the ME...but yea.

Did it have to? I'm just pointing out it's been years since the Rumble match has actually meant something. It doesn't stop WWE from going with what works for casual fans, much like the Survivor Series match, otherwise the PPV would've been discontinued years afo. He's about as big as the Amazing Red (FUCKING SKINNY, but he's got some muscle though). The crowd really likes him for some reason. He can do some nice flying stuff. Derrick King ya'll might have heard of, very solid wrestler. Shock is a solid power guy (he used to Phatasia or something like that in the WWF before he actually got credibility). Kinda looks like Scott Steiner if Stenier dyed his hair back to black and had SOME talent. I'll explain more about the others when I recap it. But you gotta realize... it's the south. It's Memphis. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted November 15, 2004 Oh and HHH and Batista hadn't had anything to do with each other till a week before the match was made? Nice. Uhm, didn't say that. for two weeks; The faces were putting pressure on HHH and Evolution, So there's the alliance they had. Yeah, the alliance was formed a week before the match was made. They were just four guys before that. Jericho and Maven specifically had almost no issue with Evolution before that. Snitsky was inserted to fill out a match. When you have to start reaching to insert people in matches, to the point where you bring in people that had no issue until the week before the match is announced (Smackdown was horrifically bad here.) you need to rethink the need to go "OLD SKEWL"
