That whole thing was started by a foul committed by Ron Artest, on Ben Wallace.

 

Wallace, however, overreacted to the entire thing.

 

I think the whole thing really heated up when that fan threw the beer/soda (whatever it was) on Ron Artest.

 

I don't blame Artest for going after that guy, either.

Fuck it, it's not PC but Artest did what most of us would do in that situation. I've got respect for the way he tried to handle it. First he gets attacked by Ben Wallace, pretty much unprovoked, then he's lying on the scorers table, waiting for things to calm down, and a fan gets up close and just absolutely nails him in the face with a cup of beer.

 

I hope Artest got some good shots in on that guy, he looked like a nerdy little faggot too.

That was one of the craziest thing I've ever witnessed. I had the TV on mute as I was on the phone and I looked up just in time to see it.

 

There should be NO ACTION taken against any of the players. There were 4 or 5 fans, and one of them was a HUGE motherfucker throwing punches at all of them. Jackson was trying to help out Artest. And Artest had every right to go into the stands.

 

Every single player got absolutely pelted with shit on the way out. Detroit, as an organization, should be fined. The Pacers should receive no suspensions or fines, they did what anyone would do and that's protect themselves and their teammates.

Actually, J-O got DOUCHED with beer and peanuts and shit as they were escorting him into the tunnel. People were just lining up around the entrance to throw shit on the Pacers.

 

Jackson straight up went off, he was the most active guy in going after Wallace too. He was keyed up. Artest on the other hand looked like he was losing his mind, but also totally in control. He had that, "I'm gonna kill a motherfucker but I'm gonna chill while doing it" psychotic look

Although i didn't see it one of the commentators was saying at least one fan ended up on the court, some of the fans involved definately should be in big trouble. Jermaine O'Neal will be punished. There was one scene they just showed where O'Neal came right by the bench after the fan in the white Piston's jersey who was jawing at Artest and punched him square in the jaw. He landed probably the best hit by any of those players. The guy got knocked down HARD and laid down for a while.
