Toshiaki Koala Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 The real Ganso bomb, done by Kawada, is not a finisher. Misawa and Mutoh both kicked out of it (though they shouldn't have.) The most brutal and dangerous move I've ever seen was the inverted top-rope DDT Dean Malenko used to finish of Scott Taylor at Backlash 2000. Basically, Scotty went for a superplex, and while both men were in the air, Dean reversed the momentum and dropped Scotty on his head. Unbelievably sick, and as far as I know it's only been done once.
Special K Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 That WAS sick. Another GREAT spot that looked brutal, but was probably pretty safe in the grand scheme of things (since Raven's DDTs always look awesome. Best DDT evah IMO.) Is a match with Malenko/Benoit v Raven/Saturn v Mysterio/Kidman match (which was INCREDIBLE) Raven ended in what I would call a true hangman's DDT. Much like the Hangman neckbreaker (neckbreaker while opponent is laying backward off of turnbuckle, attacker on mat.) Kidman is set up on the top rope, and while his shins are the only thing touching the top turnbuckle, Raven DDTs the SHIt out of him.
eiker_ir Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 ^^ Noble did the same DDT to Kidman at Survivor Series 2002,ouch, right on the head.
Dace59 Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 IIRC, Kawada used the "Ganso Bomb" spot because of his broken arm, he couldn't lift Misawa back up for a straight Powerbomb and so they planne the improv.
BrokenTiger Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 ^ If that's the case, that is one hell of an improv. Wasn't TD'91 originally a botch spot/improv too? In the case of Kidman, even Danny Basham did that DDT spot once on him. I don't remember the exact date of this one at the moment, but I think it's a tag match during smackdown...at the time Bashams were tag champs.

I'm not a huge source of puro by any means, but I believe he tried to get Akira Taue up for a Tiger Driver and botched it into the Tiger Driver 91.
Dace59 Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 The continuing the match with a broken arm was a hell of a thing in the first place. The powerbomb spot was never going to be the end anyway...Kawada went right to the end. Though I really wouldnt have liked to be taking his nasty ass brainbuster when he only has one arm to use. And was the TD'91 came out of a botched spot and stuck. I think 6/3/94 was the first time it was really used.
King Cucaracha Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Rodney Mack's version of the TD was pretty sick, if only because he didn't hit it perfectly. Al Snow took it, right? Also, the Styles Clash '03.
Mrnoitaull Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 I think The Strom Cradle Piledriver is uncomfortable to watch.
MikeJordan23 Posted December 3, 2004 Author Report Posted December 3, 2004 The Juvi Driver fom the top rope at Spring Stampede 99 was sick
Youth N Asia Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 Jerry Lynn uses the Cradle Piledriver
