hmm. I can't comment, but I've not really heard anyone rave about Science before, so I'll pick it up. Won't be as good as SPARKS THOUGH YOU FUCKER

I'm in the minority on liking Before and After Science the most, I guess; Another Green World is the most lauded, but it leaves me a little cold (though I still like it).

Soaring epic indie rock, for better and for worse. From what I know of your tastes, you'll probably hate them, but you can listen to one of the tracks I linked if you want to check. They download quickly.

You know, despite the backlash, Cash Money was good, just way overkill. Their problem was putting out way the hell too much stuff, but the best of it... top notch, and not just Juvenile either.

Incidentally, Turk put out a new album last year and it was pretty good.

When I was younger, I would get The Clash, The Cure, and The Cult mixed up.

Same here, my dad is/was a big fan of the Cult and whenever he talked about them, I was like why does my dad like the weird Goth guys with the makeup.

Guest Van Mundegaarde

I think '69 Love Songs' by The Magnetic Fields might be my favorite album of the 90's. Sure it's sprawling and not completely consistent. But even at it's worst it's charming and manages to make me smile throughout it's entirety. An enviable acheivement no matter how you look at it.

I have two copies of the following album:

One is rather horribly scratched, and skips frequently. The other is in perfect condition. I much prefer listening to the skipping version, and find myself enthralled until the end, whereas when I listen to the untarnished copy, I'm bored halfway through.

So I already loved Pink Flag and assumed Chairs Missing and 154 would be good, but...yikes. How about that Wire. I'll be lucky if I make as good a purchase as these albums for the rest of the year.

Also, I drove around listening to Duran Duran this afternoon and felt like one bad dude. No-no-no-notorious!

I know, I first heard about them on some other board and they're just one of the best bands ever. It's not quite as good but you might like the more industrial newer stuff like Send as well.

How come I have "Roses" by OutKast stuck in my head when I'm not a fan of them nor have heard the song in ages? Damn that song is catchy.

Apparently Good Morning, Captain was used in the movie Kids. Has anyone seen that? How's the song used?

I don't remember how it's used, but that movie is a didactic, cringe-inducing embarassment of cinema.

And song titles go in " ", not italics.
