Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted November 28, 2004 What's Eric Crouch up to these days? He comes out of retirement for training camp and then cries when no one will use him as a QB and retires again.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Is Quinn injured or are they just never letting him near the field again? not allowed
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Jeff George has been preparing for this for months. I've read articles talking about how he does hard workouts everyday be ready for that inevitable call. He's better then people give him credit for. Too bad he's with the Bears, but he could surprise some people. He's got solid skills.
teke184 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 I'd like to see Josh Booty get signed by the Bears, but only because their lack of an O-line will certainly result in a major injury. (He, like other Evangel HS stars including Miami Hurricanes QB Brock Berlin, is a fucking ASS who doesn't take losing well.)
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 28, 2004 (He, like other Evangel HS stars including Miami Hurricanes QB Brock Berlin, is a fucking ASS who doesn't take losing well.) This was exactly how I knew Kyle Boller in high school. I'm so glad to see him do badly and get ripped on by people.

Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 I'm still waiting for Akili Smith to develop. Same here. I saw Smith as a more mobile Jeff Blake. Actually I thought Smith would end up being exactly the same QB that Daunte Culpepper turned out to be. It's too bad he got stuck in the Bengals QB Carousel. That's letting Smith off the hook. The problem was never talent, it was mental. He either wouldn't or couldn't grasp what it took to be an NFL starter.

And I hope he keeps it up, it's hilarious to watch him actually think he might get a QB job.

King Kamala 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 How about Jim McMahon? he can't be THAT old. Besides the 80's are making a comeback, that'll drive up the attendance through the roof. Hell how bad's the O-line? bring back the Fridge while there at it.

2GOLD 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Dig up Sid Luckman. Least then the offensive line can't be blamed for his lack of mobility.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Or "Bears trying to lure Ryan Leaf out of retirement." Now that'd be a hell of a comeback story. Then I can finally say I WAS RIGHT! to all the people who said Peyton would be better than Leaf.. *bitter* Well, before last year, they'd won the same number of playoff games... stfu

Dr. Tom 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 You couldn't be any worse than Jeff George Jeff George's career stats The guy's not a bum. He was a head case, but never a bum.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Geez, why don't the Bears just sign Dr. Tom while they're at it...
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2004 I never said George was a bum per se, but the guy simply isn't a winning player. One of those guys who argues with the coach and worries about what his stats look like rather than winning the game. He's like that Martel dude in the Replacements, heh. Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted November 28, 2004 Sad part about this all, is if the Bears could get a decent QB they'd be a playoff team easily. Without Grossman, Urlacher, Brown, and Tillman's injuries, they'd be leading the NFC North. Its true. Deal with it.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 28, 2004 ^^ Sure. I'd tell you to forget about their horrible offensive line and lack of any receivers (hello Miami Dolphins!), but it seems you've done a fine job of it already.

I'd tell you to forget about their horrible offensive line and lack of any receivers (hello Miami Dolphins!), but it seems you've done a fine job of it already. Well the Packers loss to the Bears earlier probably would have revitalized them to the point where they'd keep winning if they didnt get those injuries. The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2004 I'm thinking that the Bears quarterback has become equivalent to the Spinal Tap drummer. Jonathan Quinn will choke on vomit. Not his own. Chad Hutchinson will spontaneously combust.
