Red Baron Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 saw it like last month. it's funny though.
Special K Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Pretty funny, in a homestar kind of way. Although people that still think Bush stole the election (man of my co-workers) need to headucate themselves.

Although people that still think Bush stole the election (man of my co-workers) need to headucate themselves. Trust me; as long as this generation is alive, there will be speculation over the legitimacy of both of the Bush elections. It will be between the level of JFK Assassination and Nixon's Resignation, and the level of Clinton and Lewinsky.

Most people don't believe in the Warren comission, and I don't know what the Nixon Resignation & Clinton/Lewinsky has to do with anything.

He means that it will be remembered with Bush the same way that Nixon's resignation and the Lewinsky scandal are with their respective presidents.
The Czech Republic Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Trust me; as long as this generation is alive, there will be speculation over the legitimacy of both of the Bush elections. Let's fix that. P.S.: This was not a very relevant thread. More experienced CEers call it fluff.
Guest Cerebus Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 This isn't fluff, its just stupid (like my last post).
Vyce Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Questions over the 2000 election, okay, but there's really NO question about the 2004 election - Kerry lost, and lost badly. Anyone who thinks there's REALLY any controversy over it is just a poor, delusion fool.
{''({o..o})''} Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Dukakis lost badly, Kerry just lost.
Guest Cerebus Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Mondale didn't even exist If we were only that lucky.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Its bad enough that the US Government was more upset about the possible fruad in the Ukraine election than they were here...
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Mondale didn't even exist Who? And what is up with this Gary Boldwater that ran for Prez. in the '60s?...
Justice Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Its bad enough that the US Government was more upset about the possible fruad in the Ukraine election than they were here... Point in case, there have been accusations of fraud that have any actual proof over here. And CronoT: This election was as legitimate as the Clinton/Dole election. Jesus, if there were ANY doubts that this election were stolen, the media would have seized on it. Hell, they refused to call Ohio for God knows how long, even though Bush won it by more votes than Kerry won Pennsylvania. Jeez, the Republicans only gained how many seats all around? I don't see how you can still doubt this.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 They refused to call Ohio for God knows how long, even though Bush won it by more votes than Kerry won Pennsylvania. Wasn't Mich. another example like PA? Sorry for trolling this thread...
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Well, there WAS that little circumstance of a thousand or so extra votes going to Bush in a suburb of Cincinatti this year... Trust me, there's evidence of fraud. How much or how relevant the evidence is, we'll never know since Kerry conceded.
Guest Cerebus Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 There is always evidence of fraud but nobody cared until 2000. Besides, most of the watchdog orgs said there were many irregularities and suspicious cases but not nearly enough to tip the balance in this, relatively, decisive election. The fact is, though, if it were a lot closer these irregularities would have thrown the whole thing into chaos.
Dr. Tyler; Captain America Posted November 30, 2004 Report Posted November 30, 2004 Yeah, no doubt. I'm not saying it would've swung the election, don't get me wrong. However, there's significant evidence that there was fraud and some irregularities, and thus, to say that there is NO FRAUD STOP TALKING PLZ is just silly. This was a far closer election than some of you (not you, Cerebus) are claiming it was.
Special K Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Well, actually, there are allegations of fraud on both sides. Bush did win the election, and I don't think anyone credible is disputing that. The situation in FLA in 2000 was pretty fucked up, but everyone should accept that Bush is our president, and he was elected by the American people, at least this time.
