Angle?

It's going to just end up how Rodney Mack's white boy challenge ended up. Goldberg came out and destroyed him.

Undertaker will eventually come out to destroy Angle.

It all depends with what they have planned for Angle at WM 21. If he is facing off against someone like HBK then I would love for him to be confronted by him in San Antonio, but it all depends on where there shows are booked.

Also if Puder wins the Tough Enough, then him coming out in his hometown would be kinda cool too.

The Rumble is in Fresno, of course.

Matt Morgan is from Connecticut.

Hulk Hogan is from Tampa. :)

Who knows, they're probably building towards Puder, but I really don't have any idea.

I was wondering about this last night myself, kinda thinking "Aren't they wasting Angle on this? He's just squashing jobbers and trying to hook Luther up with a married chick" (Joy, if you recall Carmella's bashing didn't deserve a job because she was married and had kids...I can't believe I remember the details of the Diva Search).

I would assume he'll keep this up a few weeks and then finally they'll get to someone's hometown and a real star will challenge Angle.

Well they debuted Cena and OJ this way, but those weren't built up or anything. They just came out one week in response to an open challenge. If they did that for a third time, the crowd would completely expect it and it wouldn't turn out as well.

With Angle's challenges now, if he squashes jobbers for a couple of months, then it'll be a surprise when their new guy manages to surprise Angle.

Basically, it's just a way keep him in the ring while requiring minimum effort from him in order to keep him healthy. I'm assuming it will eventually lead to a Taker/Angle confrontation, since all rumors point to an Angle/Taker WM showdown, but other than that, I don't see anything special planned for these "hometown challenges".

- 1 for WWE Logic for that.

Even though nobody gives a damn either way. :P

Although if they go with the Taker thing, it seems kinda early. The belt isn't on either of them yet, and if Angle/Taker is set for WM they'd probably want to put the belt on Angle and let Taker actually win it, so that'd mean Taker isn't winning at Armageddon, and that Angle would have to win the title off, say, Booker before getting to the real meat of the angle. If that happens, it's pointless. There'd be no reason to connection something that happened in December with something that would be happening in another month or so. WWE writers don't acknowledge stuff that far back anyway.

Of course, you could have Taker win the belt at Armageddon and feud with Angle for three months, then remain champion at WM--not bloody likely. Aside from Angle there's no heel challengers worth pushing to feud with Taker. Theoretically, we could have Angle win the title on TV, and send Reigns and that other guy against Taker in two successive PPV matches, though. Why this would prompt Taker to go after Angle though, I don't get.

So basically, if they go with Taker/Angle, I can't really see anything with *this* angle tying into it. Taker's character hasn't given a damn about the rookies, and after he'd given Orlando his blessing, why would he care?

Is there anyone worth a damn expected to debut on SD soon?

Hmmm...in terms of this whole deal leading to an Angle/Taker showdown, I wonder what event exactly will cause this? Doesn't seem like the WWE has any shows booked in Death Valley any time soon.

I'm sure in 1 of the posts I skipped, someone said this. Angle probably needs a lighter schedule to heal his body up, so having 1:00 squash matches every week for the T.V. audience saves punishment on his neck for at least one night a week. I don't know much about his House Show schedule.

They can always lie and say "So and So" is from "here". Maybe Chris Benoit will be from Chicago in a few months or something lame like that.

Also, isn't Taker announced from somewhere in Texas now? (Houston maybe) Or did they convert back to Death Valley (CA)?

It's probably gonna be a new WWE prospect, just like Cena was. And, what's the point of the winner wearing the medals? Unless they are either gonna wear them all the time, OR like Austin did, throw them into a river...

I wish it would end with something like it finally ending up in Brock Lesnar's home town. The last thing we need is another new cookie cutter OVW guy who will mean nothing at all to anything.

Brock isn't coming back any time soon. If he was really serious about his NFL Dream, then he'll be training and practicing for a year or two, then hopefully make the 2nd string or at least Special Teams so any "Brock is coming back rumors" won't happen.

I wouldn't mind if he came back, but he's already squashed Angle like a bug enough times.

What I want to know is who will be the home town challenger on the Iraq show?

Isn't the Rock from Miami, FL? I guess it doesn't matter since Benoit magically went from Edmonton, Alberta to Atlanta, GA in the span of 2 shows.

^---- The greatest match of all time...of all time...of all time!

Hogan vs. Angle would've been a good "WM caliber" match, too bad they already put Angle over clean at KOTR, and did a rematch the week before Hogan v. Brock on SD where Hogan won by cheap DQ.
